I’m not sure Emre Can could have done much worse there. That was one bad pass followed by 3 terrible defensive decisions.

Can's been horrible so far, not the first pass he casually messed up. Every time I watch Dortmund he also messes up attacks by shooting from distance when there's better options

Bellingham should do better there than jog back into the box when outnumbered at the back

Commentator was literally just saying how Can had said that tonight was a good opportunity to show a good reaction to their bad form recently. Then he gives it away for their goal. Thought City messed that up to be honest.

A relatively poor Madrid side showing the absolute technical chasm between English and Spanish football here. Amazing how a Liverpool team with a great coach, who are one of the technically best in the PL, can look so generally poor on the ball against a mediocre Spanish side.

Dortmund have a very very ordinary team with a few diamonds thrown in. The gap between their top players and worse players is huge.

City's players are very much all at the same level give or take 1 or 2. That's why they are so good.

There was a period where he was wanted by many of the caf on a free! I may well have been one of them

Dortmund are missing Sancho, no quality at the top end of the pitch to feed Haaland

My only hope is Bayern or PSG to stop City. We have strangely nearly always had the ability to do well against them in the last couple of years so they aren't untouchable at all so hopefully Bayern as an overall team or PSG as an amazing attacking force can stop them. Otherwise we are facing Liverpool being the only ones that can beat them I reckon. I don't fancy any of the others to have a hope.

Technically Dortmund look superior to City,
Passing and movement a lot better

Alexander-Arnold isn't having a good game so far.
