I will never understand this, it's not as if we didn't see PSG in semi finals in the 90s or Milan, Juventus or Marseille.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
Maybe I’ll just watch some videos about when football didn’t consist of plastic people like yourself. That in itself keeps the heritage alive
You'll need to go back to pre 1988. That's when football really stated consisting of this particular plastic person.

Enjoy the back-passes and Liverpool winning everything. No Fergie for you.

Meh. United should be asking themselves why they've been irrelevant in the CL for a decade (post-2011).

Meanwhile, Chelsea won a CL and has reached 2 semi's (2014 and this year).

Call me a plastic all you want. Ease up on the homophobia though.

I am done replying to you.
Um, where’s the homophobia. That’s not cool alleging something that’s not actually there. I’m not too happy about this allegation and not sure you should be pedalling this diatribe

I'm kinda jealous of Real Madrid's continuing success in the Champions league. It just irritates me that we're still only on 3  City would be the worst of the four, then Chelsea/Real so I guess...I'll be rooting for Poch as he seems a nice guy and also some of the big PSG stars might want to move afterwards.

Nothing RAWK-esque about disliking the sight of 3 plastic clubs in the CL top 4.

The day we stop bringing it up is the day they've won. Trophy or not.
Well lets agree to disagree. Personally, I do not see what those clubs where meant to do. From about the 1990's onwards football started to become monopolized by the 'big clubs' who where starting to centralize the wealth. The only way clubs outside of that group could compete was to get an owner like Qatar, Abu Dhabi or Abramovich.

Furthermore, it is also a little simplistic to say that these clubs are the only ones. If you go back to the origins of football in Europe, a lot of the clubs where initially funded by local business men who would send kids inbetween machinery for them to get crushed, whilst even teams today like Utd, Arsenal and the Dippers are owned by American venture capitalists. So for me when I look at things, I largely see globalisation at work. If you want to have an arguement about the ills of globalisation first, then apply it to football, then fair enough.

Now that doesn't mean I am completely sanguine about all if it. I can see some arguments against the owners of City and PSG as they clearly exploit migrant workers in their country, but I am not so sure about Abramovich. Personally, I do not see him as someone so different to Burscoloni and we don't see many people complaining about 80-00's Milan.

They should have accepted being 2nd-3rd tier, of course.

It’s pretty much the end of decency in football . They have ruined it for everyone else

This thread is so embarassing. Very RAWK-esque

As if clubs like Bayern, Barca, Juve or Real are somehow wholesome clubs. They've done far more to destroy football than City and PSG. Guess you prefer leagues with the same winner ten years in a row...

I'd prefer PSG to keep their CL bottling status but hope they knock City out in the semis of course. Not a fan of Real but looks like they're the best out of a bad bunch.

The use of the word rentboy has not been acceptable for some time on the forum. The post has been deleted but further used of it will incur infractions.

Love how some act like pillars of football, protecting decency in the game. While in the same time majority having this attitutide towards clubs coming from countries with lower econimic standards, wanting to watch elite matches only, dont mind their clubs grabbing as much money as possible, taking spots away in CL with whole top 4 in top leagues = group stage 100% for some fecked up reason.

Also lets not forget we were in group with PSG this year in CL, we could also progress or stop them progressing maybe. At the end of day its not their fault they have owners that pumped unearned money into club, while we have leechers that drain money that they didnt earn.

The oil clubs aren’t deities and they wont all make the semi finals every year. Footballs cyclical. Awesome players and managers come and go. Clubs enter regressional/transitional periods etc. While they may have more money, it doesn’t mean they‘ll necessarily spend it wisely.

90s Inter Milan is a good example of throwing money like a spaz, having good individuals in your team but still not being the best team.

Looks like an exciting line up. Will be some good games
Real Madrid and Chelsea haven't met in an official match since 1998. I'd be excited to watch that, even if I wasn't a Chelsea fan.

Anyone but City. It's been hilarious to see them continually bottle it year after year so I hope it continues. But feels like their year.

Really don't want to see City win it, however one positive I would take out of it is the fact that England would've produced 6 different winners and 9 different teams to have made the final.

on't understand what's wrong with sugar daddy clubs. For one reason or another there would be dominant teams. Their influence broke the monotony that would have been without them

Blasphemous for being a United supporter but, anyone but, PSG. My dislike for weasel has no bounds. It's better for an English team to win in some ways, just makes the league even more enticing - havig CL winners and one of the most competitive and watched leagues in the world.

It's a semi final lineup which totally epitomises modern football. Small clubs that won the oil lottery and the 'galacticos'.

Hopefully PSG win it just because they're the lesser of all evils.

Real - Chelsea

Can't believe one of them will make the final. Can't stand Madrid winning yet another one or Chelsea winning it for a second time. I'm supporting whoever wins out of PSG- City to be honest.

It just goes to show how close we are to playing in this level again. We could beat any of the English teams over two legs even this season, a few additions and we will be flying it.
I actually think when we played PSG at home our levels were not that far apart. They did beat us mostly due to Fred's red but we matched them for the most part which is definitely promising.

It was bound to happen. Crazy to think that Saudi Arabia, for example, can buy a random no-mark club tomorrow and in 10 years they’d be winning the CL.
