If only Ole, started the game with the eleven that finished it, we’d have won easily.
Why it took him nearly 80min to make any subs when we were so poor is beyond me.
Two steps forward, one step back once again.
Hope I never have to watch Dan James again. How on earth was he played as Pogba’s replacement?

I'm just pointing out what a daft and idiotic comment it was
The only thing daft was our performance and lack of hunger to challenge City till the last game possible. Until of course you came up with the asinine conjecture that coming second is some achievement.

It seems you struggle to read and express yourself.

1) You said this United team is nowhere near the title.

2) I pointed out it's second so infact can't get much nearer to winning the title.

3) No one mentioned achievements other than you. Classic deflecting from a daft post you made.

4) Goodbye

Not the best game, but it keeps the incredible unbeaten away run going, and I think we're 3-4 games short of the all time premier league record now.
Leeds aren't mugs at home, as shown by their draws against the bigger teams.

And we have a euro semi in midweek.

So it's not the most amazing upset really.

Terrible game, real end of season nothing to play for feel to it. Top four all but sorted and can't win the league, save yourselves for Thursday lads, it's more important.

I've not seen Leeds play so negatively all season which is a compliment to us I suppose.

Yeah think that was definitely the message when City beat Villa

I don't know how James managed 80 minutes. But the clearly didn't involve is wanting to win this. Focus clearly in the EL semis

Negative Caf...

Thought we played well and should've buried two chances -- Bruno at the penalty spot on the pullback from AWB and the free header by Maguire.

Dan James.... he's just not a footballer. He's an athlete who has a very simple understanding of the game.

We deserved 3 points, but credit Leeds. They were nowhere near as naive as the first match and generally defended well.

Another game where we rarely if at all looked like losing, but for most of the time not like winning either.
Selection I assume was Ole doing his pre-big game 'rotation' exercise.
Got to beat Roma now ,a 'no show' at Elland Road is not on, not for a'long in the tooth' fan like me.*

*(As a Man United fan I have never left Elland road in the past without; a slashed tyre (private car), a brick through coach window, (supporters club travel), being spat on, (in the ground), chased out of coach park (different occasion)... to be fair ! stopped going to Elland road in the late seventies...don't think they liked me somehow!)

We were much better when James was on the pitch - than we were with Pogba so that was not the problem today.
Hard to say coming onto the pitch after the majority of the match had gone
We’ve been better and are much better when James is left on the bench

Slightly the better team overall, and with the better chances, but it was a performance that obviously had one eye on Roma and that's absolutely the sensible thing to do.

Dirty twats parked the bus and we were more interested in the europa semi final.
Pretty much this but both hard to argue against
They got spanked last time and we are finishing second so Roma is the bigger game for us

Are we better with Pogba in the team ? Yes! Was it James' fault that we didn't win ? Nah!
Greenwood, Bruno, Maguire and James all missed bigged chances - it was just one of those days. But it's a bit sad that after every game we don't win - one player is always at fault here.

This!
I do in a way understand why Ole tried to start D James. This is the kind of game that are suppose to suites him... and he was good in the first game against them. But ffs, now we know even this kind of games doesn't suites him so let someone like Amad play instead.

Think many on here underestimated their home record against the supposed big six this season, could see today why none of the others have won here

Why Cavani and Pogba didn’t start this game is beyond me. They were in the best form they’ve been in pretty much all season respectively, we had an entire week off, our next game is on Thursday.

Why?
3 biggest games of the season in 7 day stretch. Should’ve come on earlier at least, though.

Poor game today, felt like a dead rubber game. No real intensity, all avoiding injury and burn out for the Semi and then the game against Liverpool next week. Not the worst result in the world, just needed a couple of goals to liven it up.

I just played like Dan James after having a roast at 2pm. Maybe Dan James eats a roast just before he plays.

Feels like even Liverpool will be flat apart from the pre match protest

Am i the only one who thinks we played well? Couldn't tell you with certainty who was playing up top for Leeds and though we were unimaginative in final third we had enough little openings to win that without ever looking like conceding.
We didn’t play poorly, but didn’t play that well either. Leeds had no good looks on goal, but we created very few chances and those we did create we finished poorly. A nothing performance that’s best forgotten. On we go to face Roma.

It was lacking in quality in the final third but it was not boring for me. I think we fully controlled the game and never felt in danger of losing it. Leeds was very negative and very dirty, basically fouled our players almost every 5 seconds which contributed to the more muted affair than before. Anyway it's an alright point from a professional performance, just needed a bit of luck or individual brilliance for a win.

I think that's what people are annoyed about. I mean hey, 2nd is all but locked up so why not open things up and see if you can sneak a couple in? Obviously not a bad result and if we handily win the next two games it looks even more vindicated but it does let the wind out of the sails a bit.

100% Exactly how it felt. Wont get away with that attitude next weekend. Were not catching City but letting Leicester close the gap by not going for it against the scousers would be crazy. Makes Thursdays Euro Semi all the more significant. We could do with having the job done after the first leg.

The game felt like a pre season friendly. Utd were undoubtedly more preoccupied and focused on the next three games and Leeds just want to wind down the season now that their Premier League status has been achieved.

Felt like something of a missed opportunity with a couple of Leeds more promising players out.

The performance was not too bad, though. I thought tactically we played a reasonable game, pushing up and exploiting Bamford's lack of pace and winning the ball back easily. We just didn't make enough of our initiative, some of the passing and control was extremely sloppy and seemed to frustrate our chances of getting much going.

I thought the subs were a bit disappointing. They felt far too late in the day to give them a fair chance of paying off.
