Some of PSG's play is just next level. They're outrageously confident in tight spaces.

Tell you what, every team in the league could learn from that FB/CB turn and play it all the way to the opposite flank when City press like they do.

City have been on the back foot, but it's still only 1-0, and should be 1-1.

Can’t lie, this has been a little depressing to watch. We’re miles off this level of play. Certainly our midfield area cannot keep the ball under pressure like this. It’s been beautiful stuff.

Can we please sign two top quality players while not losing Pogba so we can compete at this level

It's magical football.
you know that we won against psg and would have gone through on aggregate. nevertheless i also hope we can hold on pogba. we are not that far away imo

That could be the hardest City have been worked this season. Mahrez looks knackered.

If they could quit now at 1-0, think they'd grab it with both hands.
Yep.

I'd put on Jesus for starters. He would help to pin PSG's line back and create more space for the midfield. If Mahrez is flagging then Sterling could go on.

He is miles ahead of him but Neymar is miles ahead of Mbappe.
Miles ahead? Really?

I understand those who have their opinions on who's better out of the likes of Mbappe, Haaland, Neymar etc but the reality is they're all world class in their own right with different attributes that give them an edge in different situations. It's each to their own in that respect, but I don't feel any of those aforementioned players are 'miles ahead' of any other.

Poch is a miles better manager than Tuchel though too. This PSG side looks the best I’ve seen it in the champions league. Looks a different beast to the team Utd outplayed at the start of the season. Tuchel is just obsessed with possession.

The false 9 simply isn't working for Pep and has played perfectly into PSG counter attacking game plan. Pep should be delighted it's only 1-0 at half time

We beat both sides this season.
Aye but we aren't there yet. Anyone can beat anyone in football.

Our first 11 needs minimum two more top players. Hardly can argue with that?

We are improving but we aren't top level yet. If we don't add quality to our first 11 we could easily regress.

Remember last summer we don't next to nothing to improve the first 11. Can't be at that again.

The BT commentators are hilarious praising City for “digging in” as the reality is they’ve been a bit schooled and are lucky to have only conceded one goal.

When you watch PSG you can see the difference upgrading our midfield would make to this team but try telling Ole that

I don't say we are far away. I said we need about two more additions. So really I'm saying we are close if we add to the team

Foden and De Bruyne have done feck all. Very pedestrian on the break but will look a million dollars against premier league teams.

The current setup hasn't been great. City just waiting for that perfectly timed run in-behind to hit that diagonal pass over the PSG fullbacks. Their players have been making those runs the entire half, they look shattered.

PSG have been excellent. They'll probably be disappointed they're only one goal up. Neymar has been superb but Mbappe hasn't really been in the game for me. City's two best chances have come from PSG fecking up, other than that they haven't done shit. Some of the close ball control from the PSG players has been ridiculous.

I honestly believe as an overall player, Neymar is much superior to the other two.

PSG looked really dangerous against Bayern, but I wasn't expecting them to be this dominant today. I thought we'd see them sitting back and play on the counter

Definitely not miles off
We have beaten both City and PSG this season and if Fred didn’t get sent... who knows what would have happened?
We do know how to play this teams

Jenas always does this when an English team is playing. Basically, the English team is the only team playing as far as he's concerned. He's an awful commentator.

Possession wise city are still edging it, but it feels like the majority of the first half was spent in their third.

Just pointing it out! Teams pack up against us, we just need balance on the right. Big teams find it very hard to beat us because we are similar to PSG funnily enough. Our pace and ability to create space in tight situations added to our 1 on 1 defending is a huge problem to solve. Push up against our weaker players and the front men run riot.
We dominated City just like this a few months ago playing the exact same way as PSG are. In a weird way City should have studied our game v PSG for hints in how to play and PSG should have had our game at the Etihad on a loop for the same reason.
