Why not? All it takes is bit of self control. There was barely any hooliganism for a protest of that scale.
It's unfortunate that copper took a bad hit, you cant avoid shit like that half the time.
No qualifying for 4th. We’ll win the EL anyway.Doesn't 4th mean going through a qualifying round so earlier start/less pre-season... as we did this season. And after a load of players at the Euros.
Exactly, when he's having a dig at fans living hundreds of miles away.Im seeing it everywhere. Like you cant have an opposing opinion if you dont live in the shadow of Old Trafford
Why should fans who have an opposing view have to put up with those points? Have you actually considered that some of us support the non-violent protest against SL but are very wary about any possible new owner? Why anyone in their right mind would want to cause harm to the club is beyond me, I find that very disrespectful of the millions of fans of United.Nobody says that. I don't live in Manchester and if Ireland wasn't in lockdown I'd be over protesting at every home game. What people are saying, is that if you're criticising local fans for protesting what's happening to their local club because:
a) you're upset that some people broke onto the pitch,
b) a game you wanted to watch got postponed,
c) fixtures got a bit congested,
d) they risked getting some points deducted,
or;
e) they risked upsetting some sponsors and hypothetically our ability to make more money than other clubs,
then, don't get upset if some of us lose respect for you.
Nobody is criticising anyone for speaking out against violence against police officers or anyone else. Show me someone who is and I'll show you an idiot. Some people are explaining that a couple of idiots going too far is inevitable at any such event and that minority shouldn't be used to quash legitimate protest, but that is a very different thing.
Thats not what I meant it was just a turn of phrase which I didnt give a second thought to.Exactly, when he's having a dig at fans living hundreds of miles away.
How much better are our new owners going to be? Please answer this so we know that the Glazers out protest is the correct course of action If you can guarantee that they will be better, I'm right behind you.So you'd rather finish 2nd which means nothing whatsover than try get the Glazers out?
Good one. Yeah let's continue to support these blood sucking parasites. 1.5bn lost now to dividends and bank interest payments since 2005. 1.5 billion.
Awesome..
Totally agree, hey've lost the plot, the lot of them. How in God's name can any supporter truly wish harm on the club they purport to support, it's beyond ridiculous. This is just sad. You lot are terrible. Lost complete touch with what football and supporting a team is about. All you’re thinking about is your end goal of getting back to being a glory hunter masquerading as a top red. Disgusting.
Liverpool's new owners aren't perfect but they aren't H&G.How much better are our new owners going to be? Please answer this so we know that the Glazers out protest is the correct course of action If you can guarantee that they will be better, I'm right behind you.
We see the bigger picture.Totally agree, hey've lost the plot, the lot of them. How in God's name can any supporter truly wish harm on the club they purport to support, it's beyond ridiculous.
No they're not, nowhere near.Liverpool's new owners aren't perfect but they aren't H&G.
Are you actually aware of how much money we have lost under them?
1.5bn has left this club through non football reasons. Most of it to service the debt in interest payments.
And the debt is still over 400m. So guess what....the payments won't stop
.
How much worse could we get? They are the worst owners in the league bar maybe Ashley.
What bigger picture? Destroy/harm the club to remove owners but with no guarantee their replacement(s) will be any better, probably turn out to be even worse. We see the bigger picture.
Your way keeps Glazers in and keeps the money going to the banks and to the Glazers.
You're so short sighted. The Glazers don't care if we win the league or the CL. They just want us in the top 4 and group stages of the CL. That's why they wanted the super league. Winning means nothing. Guaranteed income means more.
Go get a clue them come back.
The good ol' weekend/mid-week team set up in FM, where certain teammates could go the whole season without ever setting foot on the pitch together. We should alternate two sets of teams. The B team can get us through Roma, and we can roll the dice a few days later against Leicester with that same team. At least each team gets adequate rest between matches, and I'd fancy that A team to seal the CL spot between the Villa and Liverpool fixtures.
A team:
--------------------Henderson-------------------
WB-------Lindelof----Maguire----Shaw
--------------------Mctominay--------------
-----------Fernandes----Pogba---------
Greenwood------Cavani------Rashford
B team:
----------------------De Gea----------------------
Williams---Bailly---Tuanzebe---Telles
---------------------Matic--------------------
---------Van de Beek---Fred---------
Amad--------Greendwood----James
Then you ended up with your head utterly fecked as your B team was playing better than your first team until you tried switching a couple of them over. The good ol' weekend/mid-week team set up in FM, where certain teammates could go the whole season without ever setting foot on the pitch together.
Good hope it doesn’tAbsolute joke. Seems premeditated to discourage this from happening again as they could've just moved Liverpool's game against West Brom
I remember the summer we signed Veron and Ruud there were newspaper articles saying they were for the mid-week CL team and we’d have a different PL team on the weekendThe good ol' weekend/mid-week team set up in FM, where certain teammates could go the whole season without ever setting foot on the pitch together.
If Chelsea win the CL and Arsenal win the EL and neither finish in the top 4 (Arsenal won't, Chelsea have a tough run in), 4th doesn't go to the CLNo qualifying for 4th. We’ll win the EL anyway.
Honestly... Because most police officers are aggressive arse holes who only respect force. I'm not sure what happened but I am pretty certain the police likely got violent first. Why not? All it takes is bit of self control.
If we finish 4th and Chelsea don’t finish top 4 who is finishing 3rd? West Ham? We’d have to take less than three points from 5 games for that to happen and they need to win all of them...If Chelsea win the CL and Arsenal win the EL and neither finish in the top 4 (Arsenal won't, Chelsea have a tough run in), 4th doesn't go to the CL
Never do that. They're playing 'better' because as caf wisdom points out, they're playing midweek cup games against weaker opposition. Then you ended up with your head utterly fecked as your B team was playing better than your first team until you tried switching a couple of them over.
Looks like those weren't written by football journalists. They were time-traveling FM players from the future.I remember the summer we signed Veron and Ruud there were newspaper articles saying they were for the mid-week CL team and we’d have a different PL team on the weekend
Not set in stone isn't the point. Of course everyone has the capacity to roll with a schedule change. Messing up the training and logistics plans of other teams, however, would be grossly unfair. And whether Manchester United has competent owners is an internal matter. As far as a league competition manager should be concerned, a club disrupted its own home game due to unrest and that's that as far as rescheduling priorities go.None of the latter fixtures was set in stone, Premier league could easily have moved them around especially for the TV schedule
BTW would be no fans in Old Trafford last Sunday delaying that match if United had competent owners.

Bringing one game forward a few days wouldn't overly mess up training for West Brom and Liverpool. All I see as unfair is the scheduling United have in front of them now.Not set in stone isn't the point. Of course everyone has the capacity to roll with a schedule change. Why should other teams be inconvenienced when it was our fans who got the game cancelled?Bringing one game forward a few days wouldn't overly mess up training for West Brom and Liverpool. All I see as unfair is the scheduling United have in front of them now.
You also have to take into account that the police seemed unprepared by the crowd that turned up to Old Trafford on Sunday even though it was well flagged in advance.
Was the official line given yet as to why that match wasn't played at 7 or 8pm that evening? By then things was very much under control and I'm sure both Liverpool and United players would have preferred the delayed kick off time than calling it off.
Firstly fans that was there because of the owners actions which was escalated from the super league plan lately and such plans included Liverpools involvement. Why should other teams be inconvenienced when it was our fans who got the game cancelled?
It's only our own fault, nobody else should be inconvenienced.Firstly fans that was there because of the owners actions which was escalated from the super league plan lately and such plans included Liverpools involvement.
Secondly Its up to the Premier league officials and the FA to arrange their fixtures in suitable manner. Fixing Three games in five days gave no regards towards player welfare.
It's unfortunate but it had to happen. Green and Gold scarves aren't going to cut the mustard. Serious, disruptive action is needed to spark meaningful dialogue and change. Nothing worth doing is ever easy.Entering the stadium was stupid, there are no two ways about it.
That ultimately led to postponing the game which is harming the team and the players right now.
