Started the week with a 36 point lead, took a -4, and increased it to 40 points. Probably success.

3 weeks to go.

Squad as below - CAPS for non players

Johnstone Forster
Taa Coufal HOLDING CASTAGNE SHAW
Salah Lingard Perreira BRUNO GREENWOOD
Kane (c) Watkins NACHO

So I can field 8, free transfer for 9.

What's the play?

Son, Dallas and one of Antonio/Bamford/DCL I'm thinking, maybe for a -8.
Could risk going in 9 players, or a -4 for 10, but I suspect Castagne and Nacho might have done their money for the season now.

149 points after using wildcard.

Also managed to draw level with 1st place in my league closing a 60 point gap. And still have a bench boost in my pocket.

Out of interest to point deductions for transfers come off at the start or end? As my rival has a -8 deduction too.

156 pts with a BB.
But feel dirty getting many points because of Salah and TAA today.
Had those 2, but still only 111 with a -4.
Presume that's a bench boost?

One guy in mine got a 157 but used a -12. Still the top score in our league this season winning him a tenner by 1 point!

Those will have come off at the start, after the first day of the game week has updated.

152 points without playing a chip. Not too shabby.....

As long as you ignore the fact that owning all those United & Liverpool players left me with 19 points last week. :(

Pretty much what you say sounds right.

I'd do -8

Can someone help me out please? My rival cutting my lead this week has me in a panic.

My team is:

MARTINEZ
WARD, TAA, COUFAL, Konsa
SALAH, Zaha, JLingz, JOTA,
Dcl, KANE

Forster, Bruno, Shaw, Ihenacho

Capital players are the same. I've used my free transfer. 0 in the bank.

My opponent has:

MARTINEZ
TAA, WARD, COUFAL, Rudiger
SALAH, Son, Smith Rowe, JOTA
Vydra, KANE

Forster, Bruno, Shaw, Ihenacho

He has two free transfers and 0.2 in the back. I'm sure he'll make two transfers to get a full team. Assuming he will drop Rudiger and one other. Probably Shaw? And I assume he'll get in Dallas and someone 4.9 or cheaper.

So is it worth doing anything? Maybe take a hit for Dallas to cover him?

Or do I just leave it as it is? I'm 35 points ahead...

The Villa vs Everton game really saved this round. Digne and Martinez really great boost.

Then the derby was not great on many levels since we lost and Pool won plus Jota scored. If Phillips had not saved Greenwoods chance it could have been great though.
Salah goal gave a tiny rank boost, but just sucked even if they would have won anyway with so little time left.

I feel Coufal is a nice pick and Dallas too. Although do I trust them to keep clean sheets? To be honest not at all.
Coufal has been super attacking and Brighton missing Dunk and Veltman... Plus they don't exactly score that many goals. Dallas is Dallas.

Yeah I think Brighton might go more attacking now when they are secured though. Although the Brighton attack have been pretty poor. It is up to Welbeck to produce and he is not very clinical.

Captain Kane or Salah?
Well if I knew Salah would start I would go with him. Just Liverpool are rotating the attackers a lot.

I guess Jota to miss out might be the lowest odds for that, but he looked as good as Salah. Firmino looked good and Mane got the rest so will probably start the next one.

I could see all 4 playing as well, but it is really hard to predict. So far from 8 games since last international break with all 4 being fit and ready every game. Mane, Jota, Firmino 2 games missed. Salah 1 game missed and one game with all 4.

That's interesting. Did you see the post match shite between Klopp and Mane? Mane might get benched again.

I'm on Salah right now as Liverpool need points and WBA are finished. Kane or Son are good options as well.

Also thinking TAA. He looked very good recently. Although I actually think West Brom will score a goal against them.

I think the majority will not overthink things and go with Salah since West Brom is a great fixture for goals and Salah scored today. Thus to keep my position I should maybe do that too. I did change my captain vs Palace though when it looked like he was not starting and he outscored my captain from the bench.

Im chasing a mini league so I might have to go Danny Ings. I'm 70% sure the leader is going to bring in Antonio, I would prefer him but I still see upside in Danny Ings as Leeds are no angels.

I like to get Ings, but I am 0.4 short I think. Also it is a risky move with Ings injury record, but he could explode vs Fulham.

Nacho to Bamford maybe? Wait you might not have enough I guess.

Shaw to Everton def I guess could be good or Bruno to Son.
Yeah, can't do the Nacho trade.

Shaw to Godfrey could be an option. Don't think I'll do Bruno to Son though as I feel we will absolutely smash the living feck out of Fulham!

I'm kinda cornered in so I've done it. I've taken a -4 but will need to take one more hit.

I really want a city player, I'm thinking Mahrez but there's something saying don't do it. I need to replace Maddison.

I might do Bruno to Son and then bring Bruno back haha if we get any clues that we go with strongest team.

I have had Son in and out so many times recently, but it is working somehow haha. Had Son for 12 point haul then sells then bring back for a haul then sell for Bruno who hauls as captain.

It is probably not fully economic, but I am pretty happy with my team apart from the bloody blanks this week.

You sure?

Guy who's currently top in my ML is 117 which is the total of his players.

But did 4 tfrs for a -8 so should be 109
In fairness, the points don't come off the week score at all.
But after the first game day update, say your score is 30 but you took a -4, your overall score only increases by 26.

Annoyingly they don't take hits off the monthly scores.

Only if you can't field 11 otherwise.
Ive got nine playing, but one is Cresswell who’s flagged. I think I’ve gotta bite the bullet and get TAA, and the only way to do that is downgrade Bruno.

If I only do those two, it still leaves me without a keeper. I think Mendy has to go regardless because I might be without a keeper next week too if he doesn’t play again.

I dunno mate, that's a tricky amount of points to be ahead. Depends how scared you are of Dallas I guess. I mean it looks like you've got a full 11 out this week at least so you can't even use the old "a hit is only -2" to justify it.

DCL should bring home some points for you and he hasn't got him.

I guess you could justify getting in Dallas because there's a chance Jota is benched. At least you'll have a playing sub then. Assume you'll bench Ward or Konsa then?
