Will I take castagne out for Robertson? That would be my free transfer
I'm thinking it over.
Castagne feels dead weight now he's not a wing back.

Only concern is ensuring I have 11 starters, with Greenwood and Shaw surely big risks to be left out.

One week to go! DCL has been underwhelming last two games, really disappointing. Liverpool and Leeds looking strong at the moment. Will be difficult to get a third Liverpool player in. Robertson, Firmino, Mane are all too expensive.

Last week it will be one of these changes probably
DCL to Bamford
Maddison to Rapinha/Harrison (bench DCL)

Need advice.
I have roughly a 12 point lead.

MY team:

Mendy
Dallas digne castagne
Lingard Fernandes salah raphinha

Kane Watkins bamford
Bench: Forster zaha holding white

my rival:

martinez
Rudiger digne dallas
Rashford salad greenwood raphinha
Calvert lewin Watkins kane
Bench Sanchez kabak Jorginho konsa

My move would be castagne to Robertson and leave it at that? Don’t take any hits?
With that lineup, Robertson, or TAA definitely make sense. They could smash Palace.

You both are very likely to be into bench players, as Bruno/Greenwood/Rashford could easily be left out, or heavily reduced mins.

We were all worried about which premium to Captain. Turns out they were all useless
The game is insane.
Bruno was the one I was scared of, and considering rupturing my team for.

Instead, it was the Willock/Watkins/Godfrey types who ravaged me!

My rival has this 15 with 0.6m in the bank

Martinez Meslier
Dallas Coufal Godfrey Lindelof Dias
Lingard Salah Son Willock Bruno
Kane Watkins Nacho

Meslier won't play (manager confirmed), Martinez plays Chelsea, and he surely has doubts about Lindelof, Dias and Bruno playing.
Godfrey away to even a rotated City isn't a great fixture either.

I have Coufal, Lingard, Salah, Kane, Watkins, so the percentage play is to field those to counter act.
We'll both surely captain Salah

His key threats are

Willock - scored 6 in 6 (!), not even playing close to 90 in some of those.
Dallas - can pop up with a big haul - home to Brom.
Nacho - can poke a goal in - home to Tottenham

My risks - Shaw & Greenwood could easily not figure. Keeper isn't great, Forster or Johnstone - but perhaps only needs a 2 pointer.
My key points of difference - Antonio, TAA, Pereira

A few options.....but will wait until any news comes out.... but at the mo

1)Castagne to Robertson - aggressive choice with a high potential ceiling. I expect Liverpool to bang Palace.
2)Cover Dallas
3)Cover Willock.
Looking at your teams, I think you got this. You're key players are much better than his. Unless he does something crazy like Bruno out to Mane and captains Mane. Then you'll be in danger.

My rivals differentials are:

Rudiger, Smith-Rowe, Son (Vydra & Mitchell)

Whilst mine are:

Shaw, JLingz, Iheanacho (Konsa & Ward)

We'll both probably do Bruno to Mane.

As you can see, his differentials are much better than mine and the luck is on his side so I actually expect to lose despite having 21 points lead.

Rudiger will get a clean sheet (plus 2 complimentary bonus) whilst Shaw won't play and Konsa will come on with his massive 2.

Lead cut down to 15.

Smith Rowe and JLingz I expect to get similar points.

I basically need Son to not go nuts.

Hopefully Leicester heads won't be too down.

Will I take castagne out for Robertson? That would be my free transfer
It makes sense to do so yes.

Do you reckon Bruno will play?
Bruno shouldn't play. What's the point? He needs to be fully rested for the final. I think we'll get farewell game for Mata plus James and Martial to start.

I think you'll see that out. Son has looked pony. I forgot to add he's my 6th shared player with my rival.
I suppose my rival has an awkward one with 1Bruno as he could still play. And not captaining Salah would be a huge risk.
His defence might need the work too.
And Mane hasn't been on it this season.

Antonio and Taa are my big advantages. And I won't bench Watkins this time!
Robertson is the go for big points option. Dallas is the play defensively one.

I'm literally that Bruno assist behind now. Still hoping common sense prevails and they change it.

Martinez (tot a) Reguilon (vil h)
Digne (wol h) Zaha (ars h)
Watkins (tot a) Smith Rowe (pal a)
Antonio (wba a) Son (vil h)

My players on the left. So close
This went fantastically well this evening. -3 behind last night to +18 infront now. Will hopefully see this out

He won't Captain Salah if he wants to beat you. His best bet is to Captain someone you don't have and then pray Salah has another off day.

That's a tough one. Both defenders looking good. Toss a coin.

Why do people think Bruno will play?

We're away, a final 3 days later. Why would OGS risk the player that is most likely to win us that game?

Anyone who had the balls to captain Robertson is a legend! 30 pointer!
My mate got him in cause he was far behind in another cash league. He is still like 40 points behind, but the punt worked.
Mahrez captain too was better than Salah and Kane, but not enough.

He got like 70 points so he had a great round, but Kane blank hurt for him since his rival did not have him.

I would worry about nacho in his team.
That makes sense actually . Maybe I should do Bruno to mane for a -4? Would it be worth it?

Nacho is in my team

Wait for team news, of there's ANY indication Bruno won't play, it's worthwhile to get Mane.

Is it just me or does this gw seem to have had an unusual amount of dodgy/reversed decisions?

First the Bruno 'assist', apparently that Reguillon header was an 'assist' when it looked like the defender lost it and God knows how that Soucek og decision was reversed either.

Weird.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Hours after games, still pissed.

Opponents had poor Tuesday so needed DCL not to score, Lingard not to score, Salah not score, Kane not to score, Son not to score and Arsenal to concede.

All happened.

Updating but think I'll be 10 points from top. A Salah goal would have cancelled that.

Big decisions this week, captain choice may decide it

Not sure he plays like that, as he had Bruno who I didn't, and didn't captain him.

He could do Nacho to Bamford or he could do Bruno to Mane..but it's unclear whether Bruno plays yet.
3 days to stew on it!

Logic is that he doesn't. But he never rests Bruno and McFred both have knocks.
We could play Matic VB and Mata. Hopefully we do.

I had Pereria so I'm biased, but that was a simple case of if the shot (or corner in this case!) Is on target and then goes in off a defender, it's given as a goal to the attacker.

Bruno's was the scandalous one. Simply never touched it and they're ŕelying on the shakey logic that because they can't prove he didn't touch it, it was given! Wrong way wrong surely!!
His one the other week was borderline too. No-one could say that shot was deffo going in before the big deflection!

Ok...at a glance, me v 2nd. capitals are players we share. 21 point lead.

POS-------rival ------ ------ ---------------------------------share------------------------- -- me
GK ------ Martinez, Meslier ---------------------------none----------------------------Johnstone, Forster
DEF-------Godfrey, Lindelof, Dias,Dallas ------COUFAL--------------------------Shaw, taa, Holding, Castagne
MID------Willock,Bruno------------------------------SALAH,SON,LINGARD-------Pereira, Greenwood
ATT-------Nacho-----------------------------------------KANE,WATKINS-----------------Antonio

Keepers look fairly average - probably 2/3 pointers as Meslier won't play
TAAv Dallas could go either way, Both play Coufal, then depends which of his Manc guys play if either, otherwise it's Godfrey at City vHolding or Castagne. Could be equal.
Willock in hot form, Pereira decent. Both United players a risk of not starting, probably Greenwood more chance?
Antonio on paper slight edge over Nacho, but again could go either way.

He could do
Bruno to Mane. Could captain, but could take a hammering off Salah.
Nacho/Watkins to Bamford
Defender- bring someone in, maybe Liverpools Phillips to match up my TAA and as 2 of his could well not start, and Godfrey is away at City.

For me, Shaw & Greenwood might not play, and Castagne is expensive for not being attacking now.

Robertson looks an aggressive signing
Dallas looks a more considered match up to take a big threat out.
Would probably do Shaw out if I did the latter, but would have to be Castagne for Robertson which I'm 0.1m in money for, so can't have both players change value.

I'm 28 points off in my ML so a difficult but not impossible gap to close in the final week.

My current squad:

Forster, Martinez
Alioski, TAA, Coufal, Phillips, Coleman
Smith-Rowe, Raphina, Son, Salah, Bruno
Antonio, Kane, DCL

His squad:
Martinez, Fabri
Shaw, Dallas, TAA, Mitchell, Dunne
Saka, Mahrez, Zaha, Greenwood, Salah
Kane, Bamford, Richarlison

I'll play Forster (though he probably won't play) and hope he scores more than Martinez. I don't think I can afford to get rid of TAA, Salah or Kane as that would feel like a big risk. My thinking is to upgrade Phillips to Robertson and take Bruno out for possibly Harrison, Willock or someone like Feran Torres and not to captain Salah.

Need to hold my 25 point lead now. I could do Bruno to Son, to cover a danger point. Or switch Jota to Harrison or Soucek.

Guessing I'll just start whatever United players I have and see if they play a half or 60 mins. Big danger of a 10 min run out to stay warm for the final then though. Errghh

I'm guessing the smart money is on Liverpool players given they are a)at home, b) to Palace who are on holiday, c) need to win and d)goals guarantee their CL qualification.

I've already got Trent and Salah but may throw Mane in for Bruno given that we could rest our whole team and his form isn't the best.

Leeds, City, Chelsea and Arsenal also have good fixtures. However City could rest players for the CL final. Never really want to rely on Arsenal though. Chelsea aren't likely to rest players as they need to win. Leeds could be a good option.

I'm thinking of my 2 free transfers being Bruno -> Mane and DCL -> Bamford:

Martinez
Trent Rudiger Shaw
Salah(c) Mane Harrison Mount
Bamford Kane Antonio

Subs: Soucek, Konsa, Mitchell
25 point lead and we're likely to share Salah(c) and Kane unless he throws a wildcard in so pretty confident.

That's a solid team. I would prefer Raphinha to Harrison but it's still ok.

Like you, I have Shaw with Konsa first defender sub. Pretty confident Shaw won't play.

Yeah pretty sure Ole will rest a lot of the first XI given we've a few injuries already. Was tempted to go Robertson for Shaw and someone for Bruno but Mane seems a safer option given that most goals for Liveprool will involve one of Trent/Salah/Mane. Firminho was considered too but banking on Leeds having a good game too.

I am considering a -4 to do one of these things:

Swap Shaw to Rudiger to block one rival player
Swap Shaw to Robertson as he is most likely to keep clean sheet and potentially get attacking return
Swap Shaw to Dallas as I feel Leeds will be one of the most motivated teams heading into their first home match with fans and he can always score

But then my 21 lead becomes 17, which is dangerous ground.

So Pep going to start Benjamin Mendy? I am thinking about going with him as a huge punt. Cancelo out and Zinchencho started last game.

I could just stick with Digne. I think City B-team can be stopped, but if I do then I want to sell Kane. Thus is selling Kane really worth it for Antonio or Wood?

Can't see City playing their B team. They did that in GW 36, then lost in GW37 with 10 men for 80 minutes. I think they'll be looking to get a bit of rhythm back and confidence going into the final 6 days later (which is loads of time to recover). Think they'll start their best team available and bring Aguero on for the last half hour

Those two defenders are my decision i think.
Robertson to be aggressive, Dallas to cover.

Heard there was a whisper about Allioski getting a ban for a dodgy gesture but he played last game and not seen a charge so sounds like they've bottled that. Would have been significant for Dallas going back to left back.

Dias is the one I hope they rest. He played the last game and Laporte didn't . Every chance Laporte and one are stones or that youngun I forget the name play. Hopefully!

Ok I don't like Walker for attack. Zinchencho maybe?

I do not trust City right now, but Everton attack is pretty shit.

I could go Burnley, but Tarkowski got one goal this season and Mee 2. I will never have Dirty rival luck like that and get a goal.

Tells maybe if we rotate, but not sure I trust our B-side.

Stay away from City defenders. You dont know who will play and despite Everton being cack in attack, City have conceded multiple goals since winning the league (even against a goal-shy Brighton) so you will be relying on attacking returns, at which point you might as well risk it on an attacker. Or just stay away altogether and avoid the headache.

Everton just shit though. I think a Burnley def might be best for clean sheet, but noone stand out. Mee, Lowton, Taylor 2 attacking returns Tarkowski 1.

I could go for Tierney, but my trust in Arsenal def is not very high. Maupay back though which is good for Leno owners.

If Fabianski's injury is serious, I'll have to use my FT on a goalkeeper. Which is very boring
Unless Forster is likely to start? Not sure it's worth the risk.
