Bruno or Son OUT - Greenwood IN? Any advice?

I am chasing the guy who has Son, but no Bruno in the team, so that's why I am thinking to remove Son (to have more differentials), even though Bruno is less likely to play today, but I have feeling he'll get some playing time.

I have Greenwood and am hoping he starts. But if you don't have him I'd be cautious.
Maybe be on line 2pm onward for half an hour pre deadline and see if any leaks on lineups are out.

No faith in us today. Nothing to be gained and players will have an eye on Wednesday. I'd avoid if possible and if definitely not captain any Utd players.

Can see it being a boring game with maybe 1 or 2 goals at most.

Big money move time. More likely to be big shit but here we go. Trailing leader by 25 in second place. Gotta go down fighting so it's a differential party out there. 80% chance I end up losing by double the deficit but it is what it is.

Areola
TAA Robertson Dallas Alioski
Son Salah (C) Raphinha
Kane Watkins Antonio

Martinez Lingard Greenwood Holding

That's a strong lineup! Almost like you had a wildcard or freezing.

Alioski over Lingard n Greenwood is your huge call.

Watkins over Lingard potentially a risk as well. West Ham will be going all-out and could definitely see the Chelsea defence shutting out Villa.

Yeah given the leader is likely to start at least one if not both gotta do it. He's likely gonna field Martinez TAA Shaw Dallas Greenwood Bruno(or someone he brings in) Lingard Son Kane Bamford DCL

So at least I've given myself a slim chance

Should I bench Bruno for Watkins?
If he starts he can definitely score but I reckon he'll get bench and come on for 30 minutes or so.

Right, think I'm going with this. My team on the left. Think 2nd (18 behind) and 3rd (21 behind) will bring in Mane for Bruno. To cover that threat i'm thinking Jota and Kane out for Mane and Bamford (for a -4).

Means I'm hoping for the following.
Pope to match Sanchez/Martinez
Dallas to Coufal
Digne to match Reguilon/Stones
Raphinha to match Son
Mahrez/Siggy to match Smith Rowe/Pereira
Watkins to match Zaha
Bamford to match Kane
Antonio to match Iheanacho

All sounds doable to me.

What you's think @Sandikan @CassiusClaymore @Dirty Schwein etc

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Both are good options and Son looked anonymous last game or two.
But before that he was something like 4 goals in 5 games and is against a Leicester defence without Evans who need to get some goal difference up.

Everton are the sort of team who let you down in the home bankers but will then score away at a likely rotated City.
However, I'd do the Antonio part for certain.
But really consider the other part.
Well that hasn't helped. You're supposed to give definitive answers so I stop faffing.

Then if it goes wrong, I have someone to blame.

I think you're fine and getting in Mane covers all the big hitters. The beauty of being first is you don't need to take punts. Just play it safe.

My only concern would be Son if Leicester go all out attack and Spurs hit on the counter. But I've got that exact same worry but ultimately, there's nothing you can do but hope that doesn't happen.

I have a 16 point lead.

My team:

Mendy
Dallas digne Robertson
Lingard Fernandes salah(c) raphinha

Kane Watkins bamford
Bench: Forster zaha holding white

my rival:

martinez
Rudiger digne dallas
Rashford salad greenwood raphinha
Calvert lewin Watkins kane
Bench Sanchez kabak Jorginho konsa

Should I take a -4 hit to remove Bruno or should I preserve my slender lead? I cant afford Mane so it would have to be someone like Mount or Pepe I bring in. What will be his likely move?
Im now contemplating benching Bruno, play holding instead. And take a -4 to swap Watkins to Antonio. (Rival has Watkins but I expect him to do the same)

Haha sorry bud.
I try and work to a few rules in fantasy footy.

Always go with the more attacking players.
Go with the big players when in doubt.

I've had a few weeks cropping myself about not having Son, so I wouldn't personally take him out for a hit.

Before you do it, check the money in your rival's teams.
Can they actually do Bruno to mane for free, bearing in mind Bruno is 11.4 and mane 11.8 and there's every chance their Bruno sell price is as low as 11.

Mane and Bamford does shut the door on two high ceiling risks.
Kane out doesn't feel good.

Oh bloody hell mate - trust me, nor do I

At least the other 2 years had big context. One year we were on the Telegraph league and you were limited to 24 transfers. I'd boned about 16 away by autumn, and then lost when Fergie inexplicably brought Carroll on fror 5mins in the FA cup final!
Then the other year was the year Lampard and Gerrard were scoring 20 points each week. I had Lampard (and Alex), and they were both rested for the FA cup final the next week!! Could not make it up.

No FA cup final to ruck it up this year thank goodness!

ps take charge mate - 265 is epic! Just take over, get £10 entry, and even if that drops to half you've got one hell of a league.
Just make sure you do winning places down to say top 10, do a few cups etc, random prizes/top scores etc. You need to look after the "tail" or you'll lose loads each year.

I also do a ridiculously long update email each week - last year I'd used a website to change people's photos into cartoons, or do lookalikes!
Scaled that down a bit this year!
Fecking FA Cup Finals, glad we don't have that worry. I had similar one year; benched Ramsey vs Norwich in that crazy season he had, thinking he'd be rested. He was, but comes in as a first half sub and gets a goal and assist in the last 10 minutes to win it by a single point for my rival.

Some good ideas there, cheers. I need to do it for sure, just have to keep the lesser players interested so they pay the entry.

Good luck all! Alarm set at 2pm for early team news.

Thinking up of my next genius thread
Start Bale(randomly shit vs top teams), Nat Phillips( high chance of CS) or Luke Shaw(Dont want him to come on for telles for 1 pointer)? Or even ward-prowse (probably does nothing).

Or do a -4 for any of them to transfer out. Currently 2k overall, and won my mini league by 250 points

Wouldn't do Shaw, he's come on a few times for Telles in Europe hasn't he. I'd probably go Bale with the 'play the big hitter' rule, but no guarantees he starts either.

After the stupidity of my transfers last week I’ve almost doubled my rank and at massive risk of dropping outside the top 10k.

Have about a 5 point cushion but team is looking a touch weak (Everton players vs City) and could very easily come 5 points lower than the top 10k average.. good chance I have no keeper which means I’m already one player down.

I don’t really want to take a hit here. Currently weighing up two players from:

Digne vs City
Holding vs Brighton
Smith-Rowe vs Brighton
DCL vs City

Tempted to bench DCL / Smith-Rowe, and play Digne / Holding in a 4-4-2. Don’t think any of them are great.

Yep both can afford. Just don't fancy spurs overly this week. Don't think Leicester will be considering the goal difference and playing too open, just to win the game and hope for slip ups elsewhere.

Looks like a smart move to me. Good luck
Cheers

Anyone going with Kun? Last game for City, expecting KDB to play and a semi strong team considering they have 6 days and they went with weaker team last game.

Nice one. He's a strong choice and you won't have a sickening feeling if Son hauls.
Looking at other posts, just checked two above me, only has the cash to do Bruno to Mane. If Mane scores, big differential.

Part of me says cover (-4) but then I'd need my other ten players to make up 14?

Rumours of Phil Jones playing!

And Greenwood.

Jones? Amazing.
Greenwood promising..need him to do something.

Mane could smash it for sure. Ideally you need a differential if you're behind though. Someone like auba though he's a frustrating guy to put it mildly.

Don't trust any of those United leaks 100% but it's probably enough of a doubt for me to bench AWB. Now to decide between Digne and Reguillon, eurgh.
