It’s been obvious for months that one of De Gea or Henderson is leaving this summer. We need funds.
How have you go that from Heaton signing?

Heaton is going to be 3rd choice, behind DDG and Henderson.

Grant is leaving as is Romero.

Heaton will obviously be Grant's replacement as 3rd choice keeper. Don't know why people are bringing up De Gea/Henderson into this.

"United have held talks in the past few weeks but the deal now looks done and agreed"

Regardless if it's a FREE or a back up keeper, it's great to see Murtough and co getting deals done early. Promising signs.

Slate me all you want but you know this would have taken weeks a few summers ago.
According to that it did take weeks.

They seem to operate so well in the market.

Let's see once again how slow we are after our season ends this week.

Its a free transfer, and even a school boy with no knowledge can strike this deal.

their defence has been decimated by injuries all season so they sign an injury prone defender? Great work

I never knew Jota was as good as he has been for Liverpool, maybe that's my own ignorance, but I never really saw it. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few in that side who will benefit playing in more forward thinking sides. Neto for one has shown enough for them to make me think he'll be fantastic somewhere else.
The Klopp effect. I don't think Ole has that same gift for extracting world-class performances out of ordinary players.

Because that would be £20,000,000 in one season for a GK to sit on the bench, something we have already done this year almost if you take into consideration the rotation, something that won't be healthy for a back four to be consistent in a long term plan.

DDG either goes back to being number 1 with Dean playing the cup games or loaned again or we look to sell one this window I feel.

I’ll reserve my judgment on this until we complete a few deals swiftly that actually involve paying a transfer fee.

I’ll choose the ‘slate you all I want’ option as we have completed as many early deals as any other club. We just like to moan, and believe we should be signing the best players in the world on the day the transfer window opens, every summer. Year after year we have the same conversation about how apparently, only Manchester United are actually trying to sign players after the first two weeks of the window, whereas seemingly, every other ‘well run club’ would have no issue if the summer window only lasted 10 days or something.

I mean even since Ole came in, when apparently things have been better in terms of recruitment, 7 of our 10 incomings have been in the last week of the window (six in the last 2 days in fact). I don't know how other teams operate but that seems quite inefficient albeit hopefully the new structures now put in place can improve that somewhat this year.

Smart. Allegri might be a bit boring, but he has some level of pedigree about him. Too many big clubs taking too many risks at the moment on managerial appointments which just aren't working.
Something like that happens to me. In the past I would not have liked him so much but now I see him with better eyes. I prefer someone with experience to manage all the changes, although I wonder what will happen with Raúl
So who are you hearing is more likely to stay out of Varane/Ramos as obviously both of them aren't going to leave
About Varane, for the moment the same thing is repeated, if he does not accept the renewal he will be sold, but there is still nothing serious about it.
I would say that Varane leaves and Ramos stays

In the post Fergie period, which seems to be everyone’s idea of when everything about our club stopped being perfect, I’d say the majority of players we have signed all had full pre-seasons with us. Which is as early as is relevant really. Off the top of my head I’d guess at between 60 and 70 %.

Camavinga announced to Rennes that he did not want to extend. #Camavinga wants to go to PSG. The 2 clubs have already discussed together. Stade Rennais wants 100M €

Cheers for the input but isn't Ramos asking for a two year rather than one year deal on big money or is that wrongly reported

If that's the destination we can definitely compete. I can see a huge hole in all of PSGs midfield, but surely United is a bigger draw? Real Madrid I could understand, but come on.

Exciting career path.
I was just thinking the same.

Cracking young talent, outgrown the 6th best side in a farmers league and now off to waste another four years at the 2nd best side in the same league.

What a shame.

Yes, and he still stubbornly asks for two years. However I think his continuous injuries, the good level of Militao and the imminent signing of Alaba have reduced his strength when it comes to negotiating.
Besides Modric has renewed today accepting only one year. I don't think he has a better offer.

At his age, he might want to stay in France. €100m with a year left on his deal is madness.

Rennes must be having a laugh if they think they can get 100m for an 18 year old CM with a year left on his deal. Most ridiculous quote I’ve probably ever seen.

Camavinga needs to have a look at Verratti and his career, not a single CL win at PSG and wanted out when Barca came knocking but wasn't allowed to.

I don't know where I read that one of Mbappé's conditions to renew was the signing of Camavinga. Hopefully not the case

He could sign a 5 year contract, rack up some titles and be out at 23/24 not even in his prime yet. You'd need very solid advisors and entourage not to get pressured into signing new deals after new deals if you aspire to bigger european clubs.
