Thank you for the advice. As least someone normal on hereDespite all the nonsense in this thread there really isn't a significant amount of difference at this point.
With Game Pass you can download games on the service, but they come and go and once they leave you aren't able to play them any more. Games on Game Pass are also available to subscribers at a reduced price if they wish to buy them. MS studio games appear to be permanent thus far (though I'm sure Forza games will be removed when the car licenses expire).
Just a random bit of advice, sign up for the Microsoft Rewards program. Basically you get points back on purchases from the MS/Xbox Store which can be put towards a range of rewards (including MS/Xbox store credit). You can also get extra points by doing things like bing searches, getting achievements or even just booting up game pass games.
It's £1 for the first 3 months so just getting FIFA 21 can be a win. Take a look at the other games on there and see if anything is for you. I'm not sure what's on the Xbox side but I get enough games on the PC side to keep it worthwhile there are supposed to be more on the Xbox side. If you don't like it quit and renew it when Xbox games start dropping. Finally bit the bullet and ordered an Xbox Series X. Have owned every single Playstation since their inception, however not being able to get one still 7 months after launch is nothing short of disgraceful.
So guys, having now moved to the other side, can anyone tell me what can i expect? I have heard about the game pass. Are you able to download the games and keep them forever ? Will Fifa be in there? and Hitman 3?
As said, the gamespass does lose games and there's an awful lot of shite on there usually, however there's plenty of decent to great games that you might not even think about trying. Obviously you have your Halo/Gears/Forza stuff which you know what you are getting, and the FIFA/EA stuff, but also there's things like Sea Of Thieves and Deep Rock Galactic which are up there with the best.Thank you for the advice. This is the WUM thread. You were never going to get serious replies. That's why there's a thread for each console.Thank you for the advice. As least someone normal on here

I know. Some people take this whole thing too seriously at times.Although some miserable fecks don't seem to get that, which makes it better for wumming I guess
Tbf, the Switch is still the best console on the market.Nintendo switch isn’t for everyone though
And then they released an updated switch which doesn’t, erm, switch.Tbf, the Switch is still the best console on the market.
No console has managed to recreate that magical feeling you get playing games as a child, apart from the Switch.

'you better explain' and 'dont bring the football forums into this'

It is though. Boring console. Now we get serious.
This post is a prick.
Boring console with more varied games and hugely better exclusives than both the X/PS5 shite? It is though. Boring console.
The Switch is meh
It's down to taste of course and it's well known that Nintendo games love the formula but it's been a poor console for original titles IMO.Boring console with more varied games and hugely better exclusives than both the X/PS5 shite?
Yeah right.
(Don't mention the joycons breaking every 5 minutes though, we aren't going there)
Tell me about itIt's down to taste of course and it's well known that Nintendo games love the formula but it's been a poor console for original titles IMO.
BotW, Mario Odyssey and Fire Emblem are good but everything else has been a rehash, a re-release or an inferior sequel (e.g. Pokemon).
Not saying they're bad games at all but they're expensive games for anybody who already played half of them on the Wii U.
AgreedTell me about it
In all seriousness, it's a great console if it's your first Nintendo machine. But coming from the Wii-U it's still disappointing that this far in, whilst still having an impressive library, it still seems to lack big Nintendo hitters.
However a pew pew merchant like Alock won't get anything out of it, as you can't attach 50 paddles to it just to be able to be slightly less trash and need carrying at Cod 251.
The joycons even wind me up. I'm not kidding when I say I have a stock of about 12 replacements (I bought a job lot), and even though it's a 5min replacement job, the best quality ones you can get to replace them still don't last long.Agreed
Because I had Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong, Mario 3D World, Mario Maker, NSMBU, Splatoon etc. on the Wii U and had played my fill of them, I've found the Switch exclusives a let down to be honest.Boring console with more varied games and hugely better exclusives than both the X/PS5 shite?
Yeah right.

No probs. With Game Pass if you don't find at least a couple of games you like I'd be surprised, I've certainly gotten my money's worth out of it. The library is pretty big now and has a lot of diversity in its offerings, which is bigger now thanks to EA access. The three months for £1 of ultimate is a great taster, and it includes Gold so you get the online play as well (Games with Gold is pretty negligible tbh, but every so often a really good game gets included).Thank you for the advice. As least someone normal on here
I 100% agree, those of us who rinsed the Wii U really haven't had a whole lot of great which is a shame.Because I had Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong, Mario 3D World, Mario Maker, NSMBU, Splatoon etc. on the Wii U and had played my fill of them, I've found the Switch exclusives a let down to be honest.
I have no interest in Smash and I'm not a login and do tasks every day type person (Animal Crossing, basically like having a 2nd job).
Mario Odyssey is cool but it hasn't grabbed me like other Mario's so I'm only a few planets in. I'm not sure if an age thing or what.. I loved 3D world a few years before but mostly for the co-op.
I'm clearly not good or patient enough for Breath of the Wild. I need more direction and hand holding.
The other thing that puts me off is the price of games when I'm not convinced I'll like them or put much time in. I'm use to game sales that make them super cheap or now just having gamepass (it's also a barrier to play more on PS5). The one good thing is that they hold their price well, so I could resell later and not lose much - but that's effort and I end up just keeping them.
means people follow like a flock of sheep - apple don’t produce the greatest phones but still maintain strong sales - that’s the other side of the coin. Brand loyaltyIf you sign up to gamepass you can play Peggle 2 in 4K @ 120fps.
The fact you can’t get a PS5 7 months after launch should tell you something.
Without derailing this thread too much, this isn't a Switch only problem. The Switch started great with awesome exclusives (BOTW, Mario, Octopath, FE Three Houses) but it's been a massive letdown since. There hasn't been a game out in well over a year that I've been interested in playing. I guess the problem with lockdowns is there is also zero incentive to get games for it instead of PC/PS4/5, especially as they are usually, inexplicably, more expensive on the Switch. There's not even anything else coming out for it that I'm interested in apart from BOTW2 which is still years away.

that is coming from me, a muppet who buys an iPhone every time.
Both consoles good, but both lack proper new game changing games. Time will tell.
Indie games are arguably one of the better things about gamepass :|Without derailing this thread too much, this isn't a Switch only problem.
'Rona has really slowed production on a lot of games.
For me the Switch is the perfect place for lots of indie games, and it has a much larger library of local coop games than the big two.
Obviously you don't buy third party games on Switch if they're on the other two. But that shows how insanely popular the console is that companies are willing to port to it (they didn't during GameCube and Wii U).
But back on topic: Gamepass is shit.
But can you play them while you're having a shit?Indie games are arguably one of the better things about gamepass :|
What's that then?I'd say Apple build the best phones.
I work with a lot of phones on a daily basis and Samsung have terrible issues with their OLED screens. I see so many with screen burn, even newer S10s etc. It's really bad
I've had an S10 for 2 years and use it constantly and I've never had screenburn.I'd say Apple build the best phones.

That's what I thought He meant. I've never seen it but then maybe I've never had any phone long enough for it to happen. Only ever seen it on old monitors and TVs I've had over the years...When images burn an outline on your screen
Same with my S8 that I've had for three years.I've had an S10 for 2 years and use it constantly and I've never had screenburn.
