Ambitious from Villa and good to see, they are a proper PL club and they’ve been great since coming back into the league.
Villa are the 2ng biggest spenders since their promotion behind Chelsea.

But why is it good to see? Unless we are also ok with City and Chelsea’s spending

Just from the perspective of them being a traditionally ‘big’ team and having been in the wilderness for so long.

I’ve a soft spot for Villa.

Yeah I have. Makes it easy as we always beat them as well

At the moment there is nothing advanced between Kieran Trippier and Manchester United. The Englishman is very comfortable at Atlético de Madrid, league champions. We'll see if United will go after him with the right offer

Odd move in my view. Neves looked like he might rip up trees a few years ago when he was scoring screamers in the championship, but a couple of years in that Prem has shown him to be solid but not outstanding at this level. I guess Arsenal aren’t attracting mega stars this summer, but it feels like they’re aiming low here.
I agree. Brilliant in the championship, decent in the premiership. Stil young and a good player, but saw lots of people on here saying he was a bargain for us. Definately not the answer for me, think lots of people vastly over rating him and a lot of that is to do with some of those championship goals still two years or so later

"PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi: “I will be clear. Kylian Mbappé will continue here at Paris Saint-Germain, we will never sell him and he will never leave the club as a free agent. Impossible”, he told @lequipe"

Sounds like he's more of a hostage than an employee of the club on a temporary contract :))

Not necessarily. Could be: "we'll offer to pay him double/triple whatever anyone else is offering so won't even want to go anywhere else, and he'll continue to sign contract extensions."

They are rich enough to have that attitude.

Mbappe clearly wants to try his hand abroad, so Mr Qatar can say all he wants the ball is currently in Mbappe's court. Next year he's free and will basically get a similarly high salary in England or Spain.
