Really bizarre move if he choses Chelsea. Why go there? One of many stories made up of thin air.
There was something about FFP being relaxed due to covid, which means City, Chelsea and PSG can all go wild if they want to. And it seems they want to. Could be quite a huge summer for both Chelsea and City. Chelsea also have a few players they might send the other way, what with English youngsters being so fashionable in the Bundesliga these days. Hudson-Odoi, Abraham, could lower that fee a bit.

Genuinely hope it's not a smoke screen for Sancho. Least worried about Halaand. Knowing the past comments and the agent, he will start pushing for a move in couple of years.

How is going to Chelsea a bizarre move? It makes more sense than going to United or even City who don't really match his profile as well.

As in United will think we’ll not try to sign Sancho because Chelsea are trying to sign somebody else? So when Chelsea bid for Sancho, Borrusia Dortmund wouldn’t just pick up the phone and tell United this is the bid they need to beat? Or Sancho’s agent wouldn’t tell them?

This isn’t a go at you or anything, but I’ve never understood this smokescreen stuff. Like football clubs only learn about transfers happening through journalists tweeting about it. Like nobody in the football world talks to each other.

Quite a bit of noise around Chelsea making some proper progress on Haaland. Would be funny as feck if we not only miss out on Haaland to Chelsea, but Dortmund don't sell us Sancho because they've made it very clear all along they would only sell one of their star players this window. Surely not even this club is that fecking useless

Couple of years? Raiola was whoring him out all over Europe during the season, while Dortmund were still sweating on a CL place. Seems super committed.

No. Which is precisely why he won’t be going there this summer either. He can wait a year, have his choice of any club and earn far more for his agent and himself due to the reduced transfer fee.
I thought this simmer is the last chance for his agent to earn big from agent fees, before new rules kicks in next summer? If Chelsea wiling to offer him that much this summer, I am sure Raiola will try his best to persuade Haaland moving there.

I’m honestly shitting it. If it’s between Sancho and Haaland I’m going after Haaland first. We already have so many strikers left wingers I can wait another season for sancho.
We should be glad you're not in charge of the club then

I'd take Haaland before Sancho if it was an either or choice. I don't think it will be a land slide win but I'd imagine other fans would think the same.

Both may be generational talents and perhaps Haaland's flaws are more evident (hold up play, effectiveness when his team don't have the ball etc) but his knack and determination for goal scoring is more valuable skillset imo.

Doesnt match his profile? They dont need goals over there? They arent looking at Kane?

Seems to me they wouldnt have much problem adapting since they do have some history with a no9.

Don’t quite understand the logic behind this comment at all. I think majority world choose Haaland over Sancho given the choice? But we all know it’s very hard to get Haaland (higher fees higher wages more competition etc), while Sancho is far more obtainable for us.

Why not? They just beat City convincingly and won CL. They have a good manager too and they are by far biggest spender in market last summer. At least they are more attractive place than us, we can’t even win Europa league and have been 4 years without a trophy, remember?

Let’s see what’s is his other options:

City - most obvious choice. But biggest obstacle is Pep, Haaland may not match his style, while Pep may not want to deal with Raiola as they hate each other.

Barca - they are nearly broke and clearly past their best

Real - they don’t have the spare money, as their main target remains Mbappe, where they are struggling to raise enough money anyway.

Man Utd - 4 years without a trophy, his father’s leg was deliberately broke by a United legend.

Juventus - maybe bought as replacement for Ronaldo? As Riaola has good relationship with them. But can they afford him?

PSG - maybe bought as replacement for Mbappe? But would Haaland wants to go there, moving from top 4 league to top 5 at this important stage of his career? As his next move would set important path for his career.

Liverpool - looks like a perfect fit but would they spend big on him?

Bayern - most logical choice IMO, one of strongest team in Europe, guarantee trophy every year, chance to challenge for CL, playing in a league he is familiar with. But they already had Lewandoski, who is currently even better than him.

Then let’s look at Chelsea

Chelsea - they are current champions of Europe, they have oil money to spend, they have good manager, and many top young teammates, and those coming from BL too. PL is currently also the best league in the world.

I would say Chelsea would be among top 3 most likely place he would go to if he wants to move this summer.

My comment was purely to do with the reactionary nature of the post. Rumours of Chelsea being in for Haaland and they're ready to switch things up from Sancho to Haaland.

If Chelsea get him I hope Roman pays Raiola's huge fee in special bank notes that destroy themselves after the transaction, like that Banksy artwork that shredded itself.

Any ambition. Yes. Let's sign Haaland with a €75M release clause to trigger only 2 years later on it and then we can bitch and moan about ambition yet again because we let Raiola put that release clause in.

Oh wait. We didn't.

Because we didn't want such a BS clause into the contract for such a promising player.

Sick to death of fans slating the club, when there's no real reason to, other than not getting a shiny new toy. Woodward gets/got a lot of stick over the years for his transfer business, but my god I'm glad we didn't get Haaland for £17M a couple years ago. Thank feck we don't have that cheap as feck release clause in his contract that triggers in 2022. He can go for £68M next year and people want us to spunk £150M on him this year. But of course the club would get criticised for that and not waiting 12 months.
I admit may be we do not have all the finance details and clear picture of other scenarios signing players/managing players so that we can come up to conclusion. However teams like City, Chelsea, Madrid, Munich are clearly recycling their team with healthy finances , winning trophies and getting best players. Therefore, it is valid to say of why can not United sign players like Haaland earlier and win trophies often. We have failed in football, transfers and contracts since 2012 so more money is must to win. I remember when Chelsea started to dominate the league, SAF spent around100m on team to win over next few years. I hope United are not that much impotent and at least win league this year.

There's no talk about progress. Only that Chelsea think it can be done. We will see.

I don't really count it as missing out on Haaland if we don't get him this summer, we're not trying to sign him. The money Chelsea will have to spend is disgusting. It'll be annoying but no club should be spending what they'd have to get him. It's not like its a bidding war, they'd be the only club even going anywhere near him, with good reason.

He also reportedly went on a tour of United, City and Liverpool too
Except he didn't, there was a rumor that they were going to do but they never did, probably due to covid but the UK press, specifically the Athletic who did an interview with Riaola a few weeks ago have been saying he wants a Spain move. It's pretty clear where he's going when he leaves Dortmund

Rashford... cough...
He's been carrying injuries for almost 2 years, to the point he needs foot surgery which he will do after the Euro's. Despite that he's posted more goals & assists season on season, but don't let those facts get in the way of that stuff you just made up

They would still be legal tender if they were half shredded
