It's fair to say the delays weren't down to our marketing team coming up with a great reveal or introduction video.
They probably waited for England to lose against Germany so they could make their music vids and announce but tough luck

Just noticed Romano has 3M twitter followers. Good luck to him. Some of the snide personal remarks on here (and some pretty disgusting full on smears) are pretty distasteful and somewhat inconsequential all things considered.

How can there be no substantial money left after this when Dortmund are getting this in installments for 5 seasons?

Well, it is probably one of two reasons:
- The agreed money for this transfer window is money in its entire span / installments, not just whats spent this window
- United want selling clubs to think they dont have much cash reserves

Not commenting on whether United have money left or not ,but when Clubs say they would be able to spend 100m or what ever the figure is for transfers they simply mean total outlay on players acquisitions for that transfer Window .

How that amount is paid is secondary just because we might be paying 20m or less for Sancho's transfer fee's first Installment doesn't mean we would be able to afford another couple of players of similar value because our commitment is still to pay 73 m as his fees , If our budget was 100 m for this summer then it just leaves only 27 m for further purchases unless we make sales to add to that kitty.

it's better to say we're skint than loaded, like Woody used to do back in the day

Because we're still making payments for previous purchases, such as Maguire, Bruno, AWB. It just rolls on and we've obviously got some big commitments.

PSG have really conquered the free transfer market this season, Wijnaldum, Donnarumma and now Ramos. They're probably paying obscene wages to all 3 of them.

Not a bad window for them too.
Ramos would give that needed calmness and experience, which they lack in my opinion.
Donnaruma is one of the best keepers and Hakimi is a very good player.

Can't spell Mkhitaryan

  • Solskjaer is now targeting a central defender as the next part of his recruitment before the new season.
  • BBC Sport understands contact has been made with Real Madrid about France World Cup-winning defender Raphael Varane.
  • The 28-year-old's contract expires next summer and there are doubts over whether he will be offered an extension that would meet his demands.
  • It is thought Real may be willing to let the player leave the Bernabeu for around £50

Why does he say "But".

Nothing in the article raises any doubts over a possible Varane deal.

There’s a but in the tweet and nothing in the article referencing it. It’s yesterday’s Sancho article but no real news of Varane.

He actually confirms there is now official contact between United and Real. Now i tend to believe Stone more than the sources this morning from Ogden and the likes

Sure. He’s been there for a day and now he’s going to decide if Kane is sold or not. What a lot of horse shit. Not aimed at you by the way.

Seriously, though, if there is a very strong bid and Kane is adamant that he wants to leave, it will be Nuno sanctioning the deal and not Levy? Don’t believe that for one second.
