A quick google of Manchester United Academy Transfer Sales debunks that idea. Chelsea also has as much and sometimes more academy players in the starting XI as Man Utd. It is just good business to sell players that will not make it to the starting XI or even rotation. Also beneficial to the player to play a starting role for another club rather than spend a career on the bench.

Juve man...Are they just avoiding giving the player a new better deal with that loan scheme? Instead of paying €75 000 a week, loan him for a year on his current €40 000 a week, and sign him for five years in 2022. So they basically have him on a 6 year deal and the first year he hasn't been given a bumper contract. Is that what they're doing?
Or just some next level financial planning, where you know for sure you'd have to pay so much and you start saving money throughout the upcoming campaign.
