It already is on 2.4 ghz, i get an error if i switch to 5ghz. Yeah it sucks if its an error in the hardware because there arent really Sony shops here in this country and ive been waiting for this 9 months after i pre-ordered.
What's the error you get switching to 5ghz? When I originally read your post it sounded like it was going to be a congested wifi channel and switching to 5ghz normally solves that as it's less used at the moment. You can also download phone apps which check for congestion and give a suggested channel.

If it's a problem on wired that's very weird though. What's your comparative speed of phone / PS4 versus the PS5?

Sounds like a hardware issue from the router a firewall/NAT/Port problem.

I'd put the PS5 into a DMZ then try the speeds if its still an issue then its not your side its the Sony Servers to yourself, a routing issue from the ISP maybe.

E3 is useless nowadays. The last one was truly awful and with the impact Covid has had on the the industry more and more companies will be taking Sony's and Nintendo's lead and going to their own events.

sold my ps5 months ago and really don't regret it. That might change when Horizon and god of war come, though.

Is this guy still relevant? Has he ever been relevant? His "analysis" doesn't seem to go beyond repeating it's "dumb". Such insight.

I wonder how much the major platform holders still need E3. Nintendo have been doing their directs for a while now, Sony have their state of play stuff and even MS, who still attend E3, have had online showings in the build-up to the Series X|S launch. Covid might've forced their hand but still, it seems like the way forward. I certainly didn't miss E3 in 2020.

Going to try and platinum the uncharted series. Love these games. Even UC1 still plays ok.
I platinumed the first three when I got the collection, but never completed 4. I'm not really a huge fan of the series and I couldn't get into 4 at all. The second and third games in the collection play quite well, but the first one is really showing its age, imo. It's a little rough around the edges, to say the least.

I heard Lost Legacy is supposed to be really good. I haven't played that one yet.

Whereas I genuinely think 4 should be regarded as a video game great

Lost legacy was very good, just not the same without Nathan and Sulky.

I think I should have taken a break. I played them all one after the other, then got the platinum in them without playing a different game in between. I think I just had too much Uncharted!

It's been a good while since I played them, so I may go back to it. It's free with the PS Plus Collection.

Just been checking the trophy list, the platinum will take some doing!

Why would you platinum three games in a series you're not really a huge fan of? That sounds like self-inflicted torture to me.

Oh, I don't dislike the games by any means. I guess I find them slightly overrated. They're fun enough, though. Plus, I like my trophies!

Blasted through Sleeping Dogs this week. Still a quality game. Love the fight and counter animations. Sort of like an Ong Bak or The Raid kind of aesthetic. Shame they never did another one.

Is there ány reliable indication when I could just go to a webshop/store at a random moment and having a PS5 in stock there?

Kind of agree that if one already has played the ps4 games there is no incentive to get a ps5 atm. There are no must have ps5 exclusives atm.

Could be useful for when you're up in the middle of the night. Congrats by the way.

Elvis is a bit too optimistic. Going to be mid-late 2022/early 2023 when you can get a PS5 so easily.
I thought I’d read an article a couple of months back saying it would be the end of this year, early next as they were increasing production. But yeah demand doesn’t seem to be going down.

Finally got the platinum on Miles Morales. Had it downloaded since I got my PS5 but only dipped in and out. Overall I really enjoyed it and there’s some exciting future opportunities to play as both Miles and Peter and coop/switch during missions.

You realise on the new game plus just how short the game is when you B-Line it through the campaign though, but it’s ultimately pretty satisfying and links well to the previous game. Glad I played the remaster before this too because it does help to provide some additional story pieces and I’m not sure I could go back to the basic powers without camo and venom.

Yeah, it's a great game and a very easy Platinum. I think they improved on the previous Spider-Man game by making it more focused and taking out the padding that bogged that game down. Those stupid tech puzzles and stealth missions were bad. Miles Morales just doesn't stop, really. It just keeps going and is a much better game for it. Really enjoyed it.

I think both are good games but MM really refines the combat with the extra abilities. I wonder in the next game if they have to give Peter something to keep him interesting too in combat, perhaps venom? The only thing I'd say is that overall I preferred Peter to Miles. Maybe it's just the 'classic' Spiderman character or the fact I find Miles voice a little annoying but I preferred the overall dialogue and characters in the first one. They are both great though and one of the few series I have two Platinums on!

I think Venom will definitely make an appearance, yeah. I think there have been rumours that he's in it. Obviously this is far from confirmed.

My question is how are they going to keep NYC interesting to traverse. The swinging mechanic is excellent, but we've had two games now that both take place in Manhattan and I assume the next game will take place there, too. My worry is, is that it's going to become boring swinging around the same parts of Manhattan again. I love NY and it looks incredible in these games, but I think I would prefer it if they left the city. I'm not sure I want them to stay in Manhattan for the third time in a row.

Good point on New York I didn't really think of that. Spiderman is just so classically New York, but yeh for gamers a new setting would be potentially more interesting. I was going to suggest they could introduce some different seasons, but between the first two games we've already seen New York in both summer and winter. I don't really know enough about the Spiderman comics/movies to know if he ever goes anywhere else?

Well in the film Far From Home they go to Europe (Venice, specifically... I think), so somewhere in Europe would be interesting. I'm not sure if somewhere like Venice would work though, as you haven't obviously got the densely packed skyscrapers like you do in NY to use as launch points. So I don't know how they'd get over that, mechanically speaking.
