What a transfer window this has been already. It has to be the best post SAF and hopefully we're not quite done

Well how long would it take to inform Varane what the quarantine rules are?

fuking crazy deal if this has merit....34m is a fuking steal and no way Woodward would have had the sack to get this type of deal. Murtaugh is having a cracking first window
Tbf, do we *know* that Murtaugh is the one doing the direct negotiating?

I know Ornstein is very reliable but there's no way that this is true right??

35M pounds would be an incredible, and quite absurd, steal for someone like Varane...

I think people have brushed over a few of Fabs misses during that same time.

He was off the mark quite clearly on Sancho last year as one that comes to mind.

These debates are a bit tiring now but my take is Fab mainly piggy backs off the back of specific journos who are reliable for specific clubs/leagues. It’s quite clear imo.

Take yesterday’s news of the breakthrough in negotiations, he was last to report it and when asked just said ‘wait till tonight for my news on Varane.’ If he had news he would have broken his neck to be the first to break it.
It’s fair to say the Sancho deal was extremely close but for whatever reason they couldn’t agree on a fee. I don’t remember him ever saying it’s a done deal though.

Nobody is ever 100% correct though obviously things can change quickly in transfers, I don’t think he’s nostradamus just well connected and fed information from certain agents to hype the deals up.

He clearly has a big pull with the younger audience and markets himself very well.

Did not think it was possible for a player of his talent and success to end up at United with how things have been the past handful of years. CB partnership was good with Maguire and Lindelof, but obviously wasn't proper and it could have been upgraded, but didn't think a player of this caliber was available until said player wanted to join. What a signing and at that fee, it's even better!

As Rio mentioned, he still has to adjust to the league, but his quality and mentality will serve him well. Hopefully he can get up to speed and the players around him support him and push him, just like he will do the same.

It really is, but then again he only got one year left on his contract and Real seem to need the cash.

One year left on his contract, so either this or nothing next summer. We'll get him cheap but lose Pogba cheap for a similar fee this summer.
That as well. And you're right about Pogba. If we only get 35m though, might as well keep him for a year and push hard for the title this season. Just consider it as a loan fee.

Yeah listen I’ve always acknowledged that things change quickly, but to me Fab gives off a very clear vibe that he’s piggy backing on others for each deal.

On Sancho he even had the outstanding amount of years on his deal wrong, something that somebody that close to the deal would never have gotten wrong, others who were actually connected confirmed it.

He’s always ‘just after’ the news breaks, never the one really leading the charge on a story.

He’s obviously connected in some areas and will therefore be more reliable on some compared to others, but he doesn’t market himself as that, he makes out he knows the inside track on everything. Which is what grinds the gears of some like myself.

But I did say I would stop whinging about him if this one happened so… one more chance Fab x

It's a good price but players at the last year of their contract go for much cheaper than their real value. Thiago last season went to Liverpool for 22m and he was coming off winning the CL with Bayern.
