60m quid for James, Lingard and Pogba? Wow. Okay, let’s go 60m then - who are we signing at 60m to replace those three that makes us more likely to win the league next year? That’s what it’s about. You don’t sign a 28 year old Varane to partner a 28 year old Maguire if you aren’t building a side to win now. There’s sod all point bringing in an 18 year old to replace Pogba who will peak when those two have retired. For the first time in 8 years I’m looking at a squad that’s one signing away from being genuine challengers - keeping Pogba makes that squad stronger - so let’s keep him a year and take the risk he doesn’t extend. It’s amusing this entire forum moans about how the glazers don’t care about winning - top 4 is all that matters - yet they’re delighted to sell a player who is undoubtedly a difference maker despite what his critics say just to bring in some money and stop us losing a player on a free. Real ambition would be to say feck it - keep that 40m (or the 30m you’ve valued him at) and go all in on winning the league.

Anyway - it looks like PSG are about to bid - he’s refused a contract and wants to move as a priority to PSG.

Your gonna laugh, but Declan Rice . At least in the near future.

If he moves tp PSG in his prime it says a lot about him as a competitor.

I'll miss him, I love watching him play when he's 'on', but I'll do cartwheels down the street if we get 50-60mln for him.

Sell him and good riddance to his agent.
The man himself will be missed though.

Clearly he isn't of the right character to be playing for us, he doesn't like the fights in football games, and his mind isn't with us any more.. This will only end in one way with him leaving

It blows my mind that some Utd fans would actually countenance him staying next season. He’s out of contract in a year and his agent is Mino Raiola….it’s already a complete circus, never mind letting him get close to negotiating a free transfer. He walked out on us before and he will do it again. It’s madness to even consider this.

Sell him. Sell him immediately.
I don't get it either. For some fans it's probably some form of Stockholm Syndrome.

Pogba on form is an absolute joy to behold, and a massive plus to any side in the world.

But so much about him just screams PSG. Maybe it's the best move for all involved.

Well this is 100% the opposite of what the gaffer has said he wants from his players. He only wants players with heart, not mercenaries.

If Pogba spends his prime years toiling away in France in a one-race league, with CL as the only motivation, then I'm just going to be dissappointed in his priorities.

It blows my mind people don’t prioritize winning over avoiding an imaginary circus in their mind created by the press about someone who is not a problem in the locker room.

I thought we offered him 350k a week which he turned down? How much more does he want?

All the reports are coming from canelreporter, they are the same ones that said Pogba was joining PSG for 45m 2 weeks ago, they tweet several times a day with something about Pogba. I'd not take it seriously just yet.

League Une is perfect for him. He gets to play against two parked buses every week and look world class, then massively dissappint in the 2-3 important CL games where he faces a well oiled pressing machine.

If he thinks he deserves more than what he was offered based on his hit and miss performances, good riddance

Can't wait to see the back of him. Rather have a less gifted player that gives a damn.

Give him the money and renew. With the additions we’ve made, keeping him and adding a good DM we’ll be cooking with gasoline.

£350K is more than enough and I doubt there is a club willing to pay him more than that.

And I highly doubt Pogba would take a pay cut to join any club. This reeks of a ploy by the fat Italian to pressure United into upping the offer even more if you ask me .

so it's about money, huh? Shocker. If we haven't learned our lessons after the Sanchez and De Gea contracts, I really don't know if we ever will.

Good that it's PSG. We should get the best possible deal. Last thing we need is Real on a free or Juve penny-pinching. If he's going let's get it done quick.

You say that, but he's quite clearly doing a Rooney or running his contract down.

The former, he's done nothing to deserve such a contract and the latter is clearly a move we can't allow.

Him staying has very little impact on winning, it could have massive ramifications for squad harmony though.

Mitten said United wouldnt go crazy and to keep him, so im guessing the 350k /w which we offered isnt gonna increase. Pogba probably wants to be the best paid in PL (around 400k /w+).

BUT - he also says noone really knows if Pogba wants to extend or not. So Pogba has probably not rejected the offer straight up , he just hasnt accepted it .

Mitten is probably the most well connected man inside United thats not a brief journo

350k puts him at just under De Gea as our second highest earner. How much does he want, honestly?

400? 500? 600? Parity with Messi?

Why can't we allow him running down his contract? If PSG don't pay up we should keep him. We're not desperate for the money and by all the reports he's not an issue but a fairly popular figure in the dressing room. People have talked about him causing issues in the dressing room for years but no sources have ever said that's the case.

I’m assuming he will not sign. But I think I’d still take another year of him along with our new signings. If he leaves for free exit summer, so be it.

it's a bad look to lose him for nothing twice, I just can't see the club be fine with that. Apart from that we could certainly use the funds to further add to the team. The smart play is to sell him now.

do people really want this contract thing to be a constant distraction all year?

Feels like Raiola is stringing everyone along so he can leave on a free next season. Just move him on now.

Considering there's no clear cut replacement available for the fee we'd be getting, this is the way to go for me.

Given his brand I'd say Riaola is probably pushing for parity with Messi and Ronaldo, despite Pogba not being fit to lace either of their boots he'll of convinced him that's his worth

Ideally that would be great - but I just don't even that is worth it. All season we'll have to listen to the speculation about where he goes next and when we get to the business end of the season he's going to be careful in case he gets an injury before the end of the season. I say cash in now. If we can do that, bring in a Camavinga, Saul, Neves or Bissouma, I'd be happy with that.
