Barcelona will likely dodge a bullet if Messi walks away. He's bleeding them dry. PS: I'm not sure of the consequences with Barca's sponsors without Messi.

I wouldn't be surprised if their sponship contracts have penalty clauses in case of Messi's departure.

Tebas cannot afford for La Liga to lose Messi. They’ll bend the rules for Barca

Still 1% chance that these could be pressure tactics by Barca but looks like Messi will be playing for another club for sure. I am sure the club wishes that they had let Messi go for a reasonable fee last year. Wonder which club will he go to. I guess there is no chance for United as we won't pay the wages he would want. Or could he join us ?

Wow, it looks like Barcelona confirm that Messi won't continue with them any longer.

(Spanish La Liga regulations) - basically telling everyone the financial messi they're in isn't their fault...

If PSG go after Messi. It is like the universe is doing everything it can to get Haaland to Man Utd.

Don't suppose there's any chance we could try signing Messi on a 1-year contract while we wait for Haaland? Am I being a bit too idealistic

Could it be why we’ve waiting after Sancho and Varane? Keeping our options open in case Messi is available?

I’d give him a 2yr contract at £1m a week today. £100m cost. And then he can go play for a Newell’s or Miami or whoever he wants.

Messi
Sancho/Rashford
Bruno
Cavani

So Barca announced this and literally six mins later there are exclusives that City won't try to sign him. Kinda feels like... It was planned?

Planned by Barca to get La Liga to change their salary cap rules so they don't lose their best player in the league. Messi is happy and returns to more cheddar,
