Where will he go? City & PSG are the only ones who can afford him & they are stacked in his position.
They'll quite easily and eagerly make room

The likes of Grealish, Silva, Foden, Paredes, Sarabia and Draxler are not keeping Lionel fecking Messi on the bench

I'm just glad that Citeh don't seem to be in the race thank goodness

City sign Kane on top of Grealish.

Chelsea sign Lukaku.

Paris SG sign Messi.

Real Madrid sign Mbappé.

We have a free run at Haaland next year, the sensible signing for us (although I would love to see Messi in a United shirt, would be a pipe dream come true).

As per some esteemed Messi fans, the only guy bringing billions to Barcelona was Messi. So I am fully expecting Barcelona to shut shop and deregister.

Nobody in football world keeps Messi on the bench. Still best player in the world.

Definitely how it's shaping up and I couldn't be happier.

Reuniting Sancho and the Viking Android would give us one of the best squads in Europe

We all love United
So Messi doesn’t have a club now? Whoever signs him will be getting him on a free transfer on top of his enormous wages?

Correct, he's free to sign with anyone on a 'free' but there's only maybe 2 clubs in the world who can afford his wages

I don't know if anyone can pay the 1.6M pw or such kind of astronomical amounts

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Also means Pogba likely to extend and we have a free run at Camavinga.

PSG it is. Neymar already posted that pic with the PSG players in Ibiza a few days ago, already hanging out with half the squad

Graham Hunter seems to think it's a power play but it must be noted that he's a Barcelona loyalist. Just as Paddy Crerand was off-base when he denied Sir Alex was retiring in 2013, Hunter may be more hopeful than accurate.

It remains to be seen.

City will save themselves the £160m for Kane, sign Messi and then Haaland next season for £65m. Sorted.

Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Snake. What a front quartet
They're winning the champions league if they pull it off

Would be the greatest attacking trident since MSN and they might even be better

Time for Woodward to do "things in market, that other teams can only dream about"

No, Brady likes to win and has spent his whole career taking lesser contracts so that the team can be built around him. Messi lacks the humility to do the same.
Not sure I would agree with whole career but it has been said that he left $60 to $100 million on the table to keep things rolling (read that last year before he signed with the Bucs so may have been a bit of negotiating going on). Poor guy only made ~ $235 million while at NE by doing that. But, I guess you can afford to do that when your wife makes twice as much as you do!

1. PSG

2. City

3. United

…never say never ? :wenger:
We don't need Messi, we have Bruno in that role. He is 25 years old and is smashing it on a consistent basis. His stats put Grealish to shame.

We need a CDM. An upgrade to McFred. If we can get a decent one in before the end of the window I think we can easily say that we went out and bought the best available players for the positions where we were weakest. After that, it is down to who can get the best out of them. We will find out this season.

Wow.

I thought it was already sorted that he was staying? Huge news though. He's basically limited to two clubs
Not sure why you say he is limited to two clubs. He is limited to those who can afford his salary demands. And it is not just those clubs

Bruno will be 27 next month. Just being pedantic, but I don't want you to undermine your point with one glaring error. I agree we need a CDM. I think all fans do.

As long as he doesn't sign for any of our PL rivals then I don't mind if he stays or goes.

I'm just dreading him going to City (or Chelsea) and making them even stronger while everyone drools over him and them even more than ever as he denies us trophies.

If he leaves, I'd like to see him sign for a 'hated' club - with PSG the most likely - and create a bit of a dilemma for all the nauseating love-in he receives.

I don't like the CDM term. You end up with a dud like Rice. We need a quality creative box to boxer. Like Kante. But if Messi is available and Pogba goes....

1.6M euro per week for 2 years is not bad when there is no transfer fee. Messi is still the best player in the world. 83m euro/year for his service. Sign on fee will be huge though.

Can't see PSG signing him and Pogba, they'd have to cook the books on a grand scale to pull that off.

Although their Chairman is on the UEFA board and is Chairman of the club association, so he may look past it...
