This looks strong. I wonder whether Grealish may play a little deeper and be afforded less freedom than at villa, which is why I've not jumped on him, though he's absolute value if he does start posting serious numbers. Seeing everyone's teams with Bruno makes me very, very nervous not starting with him.
It's all ready to be ripped up at any point, if the likes of Lukaku or Kane move, which would mean sacrifices elsewhere have to be made.

Grealish is a total unknown. He's done 99% of his best work as a left winger basically. The idea of playing centre mid is unclear, but Pep is one of the few managers who seems to be able to work 2 attackers in the 3 man centre midfield line up. However, we all saw how Gundo's numbers dropped off when KDB was back.

Yep, agreed. I think it'll be knowing when to hop off that's key.
It might even be smart in my eg, to start with Greenwood instead of Grealish.
Give it 1 game to see how Grealish looks in what should still be an awkward game away at Tottenham.

So hard to pick strikers for gw1. Lukaku not signed yet, Kane on strike, Cavani not with squad, Dlc now injured....

That's the problem at the moment, so many variables still to confirm. I just spent half an hour agonising before bringing Dunk in for Fofana and Nacho in for Watkins. Utter waste of time because, as you say, there will still be big moves to come which will change everything!

For those that don't know, KDB and Foden injured.

Pep said Grealish not ready for opening fixture. Although he could mean the community shield game.

I was thinking about going without Bruno. After this pre season game I want as many United players as I can.

Work in progress, love the defence and midfield, attack a bit weak.
De Bruyne seems to be 25% to play, so Grealish as well as being a 100m man and sure to start anyway, has even more chance with KDB out.

Sanchez Foster
TAA, Shaw, Stones, White, Coady
Salah, Bruno, Grealish, Raphina, Buendia
Antonio, Toney, 4.5m man fodder

Other thoughts
1) Might be decent getting Martinez in goal with Villa's start
2)Maybe same deal with Ings up front
3) Greenwood might well be an option (as per @Pickle85 above)
I would take Grealish out and get Jota in or upgrade the forward line to Lukaku.

Jack is guaranteed to start with Foden and KDB out and with Silva looking to leave.
Yeah but it's Pep. No idea how he would make him play. With Jota or Lukaku, you are guaranteed goals.

My current draft:

Bachmann
TAA - Shaw - Veltman
Salah - Bruno - Mahrez - Barnes - Raphina
Antonio - Tony

Foster, White, Obafemi, Omobamidele
In general I'm pretty set on most of that team bar the Barnes/Raphina/Omobamidele slots. Realistically I probably need find 0.5 to upgrade Omo to a 4.5 def as that bench is a bit weak, unless another 4.0 looks like playing. Greenwood, Buendia, Sarr and ESR are potential midfield options in place of Barnes/Raph.

If I knew a 4.0GK or 4.0DEF were starting GW1 though then I'd probably switch it to a BBGW1 side.

Jota isn’t even guaranteed to start.
Firminho won't start due to Copa commitments. Jota played less than 30 mins last match. He is guaranteed to start tomorrow. 100 % he is starting next week.

Looks a strong 11 but presumably the bench is utter pony?
Also Watkins is a huge risk now surely.

No Salah or a defender with their start is risky.

Jota isn't even a regular himself. And had a spell of drowsiness when I brought him instead season!

Current team - Feck it, I think I'll go Grealish from the get go. Don't think Pep can afford to ease him in and he looked a natural fit in the system today. Only slight worry is bench-size, very little width and double brighton in defence, but for 2 gw's i'll be fine, in case I want to do 3 transfers and switch it all around - the upside is that almost every player is a solid player.

Harvey Barnes is a great little player. Direct and aggressive style is really great to watch.

He is definitely giving me food for thought now that he is definitely ready to go.

£7mil could be a snip for what he looks capable of.

I really like this, but two zero minute players on the bench would be too much for me I think!

Feck are we supposed to do for Kane/Lukaku? It would mean getting rid of Salah/Bruno the way most of our teams are structured.
