Why wouldn't he?Any news on Shaw starting GW1?

Not really… the thing is for every milion paid you should get 20 pts to be worth It,The hard part is finding the cheaper gems. Salah is pretty safe vs Norwich and you can downgrade if needed.
You are forgetting Salah provides you with a consistent captain option. I made a mistake last season of not going with Salah on day 1 and I could never catch up after that, forced me into wildcards and shit. You can still have 14 viable players AND Salah. Not really… the thing is for every milion paid you should get 20 pts to be worth It,
there is Benrahma for 6 who was WHU best player during preseason, Buendia 6,5.
If they get 120 and 130 points they are at the level of Salah 250 and i am sure they gonna get more, Dele Alli who is gonna be in first squad at Spurs is 6,5. Barnes, Raphinha, Greenwood, Grealish. If Kane is going to City then Son for 10 as ST with freekicks, penalties and corners is the best player in the game.
what is more Salah was not looking good during preseason, Jota and Mane were much better. I am starting with Jota for 7,5 and then we will see what is the situation with Firmino.
Of course Salah is gonna be one of the best players but for that 12,5 i rather have more playing players. 12,5 for Salah plus 4,5 for some other player you probably will need to balance should give you 340 pts but that 4,5 player will be mainly on the bench so that would mean you paying 17 mln for Salah points because you are not gonna rotate him with Gilmour.
For 17 mln you could get Son and Barnes or Grealish and Greenwood and 1,5 in the bank to upgrade your 2x 4,5 defenders for Shaw and Coufal.
And then play the ones with easier matches to get the best amount of points from them.
the only advantage having that kind of big expensive player is to have Captain potential because he is capable to score double digits more often then others. So in that case i will probably put Armband on Bruno for whole season and get that additional 200+ captains points and be able to rotate other 14 players to the coming fixtures.
Last season was perfect cause i had Salah as captain in first week got 40 pts and then get rid in 2nd round for Bruno who from that point scored 33 points more then Salah for 1,5 mln less. You are forgetting Salah provides you with a consistent captain option. I guess if you have Bruno you can get away without Salah. I have decided to go Greenwood + Salah for now, with option of moving to Jota + Bruno later on. I tried having a team without Salah and Bruno but that leaves too much money on board, especially as I have Tsimikas and White for cheap in defence.Last season was perfect cause i had Salah as captain in first week got 40 pts and then get rid in 2nd round for Bruno who from that point scored 33 points more then Salah for 1,5 mln less.
Selling Salah after 20 points round. I know…
But not having Salah gives you another 5-6 mln to spread on other players who would get much more points then the cheap ones, and i still have Bruno for that captain points.
Template-tastic.Right chaps, how does this look? I see Willock isn't in the game yet, as he might change my thoughts at 6m, possibly in for Raph who has us away. And then it gives 0.5m to either put him back to Raph or Greenwood to Grealish in weeks to come.
Sanchez
TAA Shaw Coufal
Salah Bruno Greenwood Raphina
Ings Antonio Toney
Foster, White, Amartey, Gilmour
Surprised his ownership is that high when he's Watford's no.2 keeper.Final team barring injury news or if team news changes:
---------------------------Sanchez----------------------------------
-------TAA---------------Shaw--------Tsimikas-------------
-Mahrez----Son----Salah------Barnes----Greenwood
------------------------Ings----------Toney------------------------
Subs:
GK: Steele
DEF: Coufal
DEF: Amartey
STR: Obafemi
Its for first 3 gameweeks and will wildcard international break if I need too.
I see a lot of people with Ben Foster (4.0) as sub goalkeeper too.
One thing to be mindful of is that he has 27.5% ownership. If he doesnt play and gets a sizeable amount of transfers out then he'll drop to £3.9m soon enough.
Can you kindly keep such information to yourself, I've noticed the same thing but let them make this mistakeI see a lot of people with Ben Foster (4.0) as sub goalkeeper too.

Good point - I have doubled up on the two of them so all good.Ben Foster could easily become Watford's number 1 this season. I think Bachman starts the season for sure but with a back up like Foster there's not much margin for error. One or two gaffs and Foster could be number 1 for Watford. He's a risk worth taking as a back up keeper in your 15.
Ings, Antonio and Toney for me.The striker options to start the season are a bit shocking to be honest. Feels weird only having Antonio and Toney.
I just know that I will need to get Lukaku in when he is added to the game, and he is going to wreck havoc on my team, which I am (or was) pretty much happy with.
Team A, but I would start Tsimi and change targett and Cresswell to 4.5 defenders than that gives you 1.5m to have Mahrez over GundoganHelp me finally settle on my team - any feedback appreciated!
A) Sanchez
TAA Shaw Cresswell
Salah Bruno Gundo Barnes Raph
Toney Antonio
Subs: 4.0 targett tsimi 4.5
B) Sanchez
TAA Shaw Tsimi
Salah Bruno Son Barnes Benrama
Toney Antonio
Subs: 4.0 white Amartey 4.5
Aye changed to Salah and Ings, dropped Greenwood and Kane! You think Kane starts week 1? Didn't someone report that he wouldn't be back until week 2 at least?
Injury prone, injury prone and never played in PL. Good luck with that.Ings, Antonio and Toney for me.
Lukaku or Kane (if he joins City) will be coming in though for sure at some point. Wildcard in gw6/7 looks absolutely nailed on.

Ings has managed more PL appearances in each of the last two seasons than Martial, including a full 38 game season the season before last.I'm actually thinking Martial is not a bad call for the first 3 GW. Rashford is out and Cavani has had no pre season. Could get moved out left if he performs in first few games. Cheap enough as well.
I have 5 sub 20k finishes in last 6 seasons mate so i think I know what I'm doing. You might want to look at what the seasoned FPL managers on twitter and youtube are going for too. They're all on those three. It's the starting template.Injury prone, injury prone and never played in PL. Good luck with that.
Main issue I see is that you'd have to start White against Chelsea and City in GW2 & GW3. Unless you're deliberately backing Arsenal to do well in big games this season I'd find 0.5 from somewhere to upgrade Livramento to a starting 4.5 defender who can cover those weeks.Thoughts on?:
Martinez
TAA - Stones - White - Shaw
Salah - Bruno - Havertz
Toney - Wood - Ings
Bench: Foster, Bissouma, Brownhill, Livramento
Yeah I'd say that's pretty good. Very template but that's a good thing early doors for me. The managers who take huge risks early doors are usually the ones who are playing catch up.Thoughts on?:

Salah - Bruno - Havertz
Toney - Wood - Ings

Yeah I was struggling to fit Salah (he's had a long rest so should be in good form) in so thought White was the best 4.5 option. Will check any potential others.Main issue I see is that you'd have to start White against Chelsea and City in GW2 & GW3. Had a look through Bluemoon (*shudders*) and nearly all of them seem to have him in their starting line-up for GW1 alright.Grealish will surely play GW1 - I am going to take a 'punt' on him from the start I think.
8.0 could be incredible value, but let's see how Pep uses him and how he gets on.
With KDB n Foden ruled out and Bernando Silva possibly leaving I'd say it's highly likely he starts the first game for sure.Grealish will surely play GW1 - I am going to take a 'punt' on him from the start I think.

I never said you didn't know what you are doing. If you want to swing d!cks, i have a few top 10k finishes, as well as a few top 20k, so we both know what we are doing. I honestly don't care what seasoned FPL managers do. I know some poster tried to rubbish my opinion for saying Martial over Ings, but Martials GxA ratio is very good in FPL. Has had a pre season and will want to prove a point. Of course he could be rubbish, but this is part of FPL roulette sometimes. Go with your gut.I have 5 sub 20k finishes in last 6 seasons mate so i think I know what I'm doing. You might want to look at what the seasoned FPL managers on twitter and youtube are going for too. Also nobody says you have to have them all season if they're in GW 1 team either. Very much doubt they will stay in my team past the first wildcard in gw6/7.
Had Kane / Lukaku been genuine options from gw1 then I think the template would be a lot different.
Not at the start but GWs 4-15 I will look to have him in.Nobody considering Jimenez? Been getting games, got himself a goal in ore season. Could come back with a bang. Few hard fixtures to start with but that was his speciality. Everyone seems to have the same front 3. Could be a differential for game week 1
Not got him myself like, just a thought. At 7.5 hes a bargain if he gets his form backNot at the start but GWs 4-15 I will look to have him in.
Isn't this exactly how thousands got burnt on GW1 last year?I have a feeling Salah not gonna reach expected points. Costing 12,5 he should get 250, not gonna happened IMO, so for me he is to expensive and i rather have 15 players that would play and change my team each week to get the best fixtures and also to avoid unexpected situations like last season.
I like to call that strategy: No Salah
Easy switch from Martial/Ings/Antonio. Same with Bamford. Not at the start but GWs 4-15 I will look to have him in.
That's my thinking too. With KDB n Foden ruled out and Bernando Silva possibly leaving I'd say it's highly likely he starts the first game for sure.
Havertz value depends on how he plays with Lukaku. He wouldn't still play as a false nine. But could still be a good threat if he can provide enough assists with the odd goal. Think other options in that range would be better value.Thoughts on?:
