We had good performance all over the pitch and obviously Bruno and Pogba were outstanding. The only negative for me is we were a bit shaky at the back and against top opposition we will get punished! 1st game of the season and we bossed it, let this be a warning to the other teams we are coming for the titles!!!!!

Didn’t expect that. I was a little deflated when the team was announced but shows how little I know. Very enjoyable game and if we get a solid defensive midfielder then the league is definitely not out of the question.

This is nothing new. We know we can punish teams who come at us

The real test will be how we do against defensive sides. That's when we'll know we've made progress.

Still, hooray!

Couldn't have asked for a better start than that. Great response to the Leeds goal

Bruno, Pogba were excellent. McTominay & Greenwood were very good as well.

Had a Fulham 2006/07 opening day vibe. Awesome

Can't remember the last time we had such a fun and convincing season opener, maybe Swansea under Moyes?
Ole's first full season (2019-2020) opened with us smashing Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford.

Would have given Pogba motm were it not for him switching off for Ayling's goal. Quality performance all round, we looked dangerous every time we got the ball. This is Greenwood's season, I can feel it!

Steering clear of the obvious, I thought Scotty was brilliant, particularly in the first half as was Lindelof (who I remain convinced is a good CB but possibly just not a great fit with Maguire).

Pogba showed how annoying he can be: over all excellent but showboated when he should have scored early on and then at fault for the leeds goal. But if we get this sort of performance week after week, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about him (not sure it will happen).

Most importantly, as others have pointed out, let's see if we've improved against sides that come to OT and don't bother crossing the half-way line for the first 30 minutes...

Brilliant! The Leeds goal added to it. Pogba was brilliant along with Greenwood and of course Bruno.

Leeds are perfect for us though, they leave a lot of space. Let’s get another win now and build on it.

Leeds fans sang “Sancho and Rashford let England down”. Not half as bad as the Munich chants. Just Leeds scum doing Leeds things.
I don't have too much trouble with this (as long as it wasn't racist in disguise). not too different from booing opposition players (and it didn't help them much!!)

Fantastic display. From beginning to 80mins when understandably we took our foot off the gas. Literally every player played well except Daniel James. Pogba and Bruno had thier best game for a while. I was dreading this game today as I felt we were undercooked.

Hope to see Cavani back and Sancho start in the next game. This will surely be Daniel James last game for a while. If we can just get a proper cdm before the transfer window how good can we become.

My worry still remains playing teams who sit back and the low block. Set piece teams. We need to be more creative against them. The likes of Leeds are ideal for us.

Best opening day performance since the 5-1 vs Fulham. Pogba was out of this world and every player played well.

It's VERY very early days but I see no reason why a squad of this quality can't challenge or even win the league.

Lindelof's passing from defence was absolutely fantastic today as well btw.

Fantastic stuff and a great start to the season. Bruno and Pogba were outstanding but Greenwood's performance really encouraged me. He looked so dangerous dropping deep from the number 9 role.

It creates space for Bruno and the wide players to break beyond him and he has the quality to pick them out. Rashford and Sancho could be really dangerous breaking into that space from the wide positions.

Greenwood's goal was absolutely world class too. His touch and finish running at that speed was fantastic.

This game will be a lesson of how NOT to play United if you are a middle or lower table team. If you haven't got the horses, which leeds do not, then you better not try to play an open game. If you do, you will get spanked.

Collaboration of Pogba and Bruno Fernandes. When Rashford, Varane and Sancho are 100% ready we will watch an amazing team.

It's going to be great season of fabulous football.

- Pogba brilliant
- Bruno back to his best after a good rest. I was very happy when Portugal were knocked out early so he would get a rest.
- Love Maguire's runs forward, he'll cause a lot of problems
- That finish from Greenwood was so hard with the run, the pressure and the angle.
- It's early but Sancho knows when to keep things simple and when to use his moves. Great sign of things to come.
- McT very good, I think Leeds to decided to mark Fred tight and make McT play the ball

I love seeing the fans. I hope the U.S.A. learns from England that the delta variant is not that big of a threat to life and society must remain open and let people live their lives as they see fit. (sorry to get political but I can see some people here shutting down crowds for sports)

I get the feeling that was painful for you to write. It's must be hard to be so anti Ole with matches like these.

They had more possession on our home turf, unforgivable.
