I won’t remove Mahrez before Norwich game of course but after that he’s gone. There is literally zero point keeping any City offensive assets aside from Kane when he inevitably joins later this season. Soucek will get more points than any of their midfielders, I will just take him.

Knew should have gone Son... He is so explosive, more so than any City attacker and he's undroppable.

Sitting on 104 and only had Bruno. Still have Son to play too. Also 1.5 mil in the bank to upgrade.

Schmichael
Tsimikas Shaw Ming's
Fernandes (c) Greenwood Son Jota Benhrama
Ings Antonio

Sanchez Amartey White Ihenacho

What is the "template" team everyone talks about?
Finished on 114 assuming bonus points stay as; Antonio - 3, Benhrama - 2 and Son - 2.

Has anyone beaten that in here without using a chip, and not having both Salah and Fernandes.

So glad I did a template safe team with big players like Son, Ings, Antonio, Fernandes, Salah, Shaw, Raphinha and Trent in it

100 points, great start. Hoping next week will be less of a template.

Should I bring in the pool LB for dunk?
He's a 3 week merchant who has ticked 1 of those weeks off. If you don't have him already, I wouldn't now to be honest, even with Burnley at home being a top fixture.

Unless you're thinking of wildcarding in the international break, OR you don't have any other pressing issues?
Or you're not thinking it's worthwhile holding 2 transfers in case you need to upgrade to get a Kane/Lukaku/Grealish/Sancho or someone in once we've seen how they fit in?

I see alot of transfers out for Iheanacho. Is he unlikely to get many minutes this season and just be second fiddle to vardy?

Have in my squad at the minute but be tempted to transfer him before the price drops. Especially if he's not going to get many minutes.

Not sure who I'd replace with as I already have Antonio and ings. Probably richarlison, Wilson or Toney.

They played one up top and that's gonna be Vardy. Even when they switched to two up top it was Vardy and Barnes as the front two. And then there's the new guy Daka.

At that price there are so many other options that are far more nailed and provide better value just by the virtue of playing 90 mins.

When do the cup games start?

There’s going to be people on 100+ losing if they’re unlucky with the draw.
You in the Caf league? Got a shout for top with that, congrats
After the 18th round of games,.
no doubt it’ll all go tits up for me when I make some transfers .

the big question is use my transfer this week or save it for the week after, if I use it this week I can save the double transfers for the international break.

hmm true, no pressing issues just yet I’m giving Buendia one more game to fix up or he’s out.

I had no idea last year it was a thing until someone mentioned on here.

Do you need to change anything? Anyone injured, looking poor? Anyone you’ve not got that looks a definite improvement?

That looks solid enough, and yes, if you give him a go, then you have 2 free transfers to give flexibility to move Buendia up in value and trim elsewhere.

Bet this guy/girl is sharing this on Twitter… and saying “I knew I should have put Ayling in. I never get any luck!”

Classic hindsight hero there. Only possible bettering would have been in for Shaw, but that would have been brave, as any other game Shaw could have been in the assists and kept a cleany and been double figures.

This is the issue with City assets. They play a hopeless Norwich but can you truly trust any of their players with the captaincy?

I'll steer clear of them all.

He's 10m though, so how would you have got that in, while still holding Salah, Bruno, TAA, Ings etc. That's the question.

No I wouldn’t trust any of them with captaincy, them and Chelsea treat the fullbacks like yo-yos there in and out of the squad every week.
Well it fecking won’t be Mendy that’s for sure. Walker I’d say is in
that’s why I was thinking zinchenko, but he could also go Walker and cancelo.

if you’re looking at the fixtures most people should be loading up on United and Liverpool until the end of September, that’s when I’d dump Salah and bring in lukaku and mount or havertz they should win out for the next 4 games whereas United are entering a tough patch and Liverpool are as well and salah is expensive.

No City is the obvious risk next week, but you can't have everyone, so you just have to hope it's not too much of a battering, and not too many players share hauls.

However, City play Leicester, Chelsea and Pool aways in the first 7, and also have Arsenal at home in week 3, if Arsenal can at least play their full team by then.
Norwich and Southampton homes in week 2 and 5 are real risks though, but I might try and last until week 8 when they play Burnley at home to get back on them.

Thanks, you’re always the voice of reason  :D
It's taken years of errors, don't worry :wenger:

I think this was one of the first seasons I actually followed my 2 huge rules

  1. Don't put too much money into defence
  2. Don't get on big new signings too early

Getting Son in might be tricky without selling Salah or Bruno.

Dennis for Watford is one to watch as a £5m forward.
