The only way this gets worse is if PSG sell Mbappe to Madrid and then fancy going after Pogba this summer with all that money after all.

Kind of hilarious how we begged Cavani to stay one more year and he's off to play for Uruguay despite the inevitable isolation, oh and he hasnt played for us yet this season.

Meantime arguably our greatest player ever is joining our arch rivals and we havent lifted a finger. I guess players are happy to shit on you when you arent a very good football team.
In what dimension is Cristiano Ronaldo a better United player than Bobby Charlton? George Best? Denis Law? Roy Keane?
Give me a break.

Don't really care about Ronaldo too much, the only thing that saddens me as a United fan is that most probably Fergie will be pretty disappointed to see Ronaldo "at the neighbours"

All his former teammates here are going to be really dissapointed about this. SAF is going to puke. What a dumb fecker he truly is to tarnish something so beautiful the connection the home and away fans have had to him for years just for a season or two at city. Yikes.
Next episode of Rio Ferdinands podcast will be interesting. Since he seems to be very emotionally involved with United i can imagine him trying to speak to Ronaldo himself about how fecking dumb this is.

He'll get a lot of boos upon the return at OT.

Then he'll take his shirt off during warm-ups and some of our fans will chant SIUUU as their ever-lasting love for him never ends.

Seriously though, he'll get booed more than Tevez/Di Maria.
Need this same energy against him:

it’s the disrespect for Ferguson that gets me, a man who Ronaldo has said is like his second dad, really looked after him like his own while he was here, still waits for him at finals to cheer him on like a proud dad , how can you tarnish all of that to play for a plastic soulless club like City for what a few years ?

Sorry you can say it’s just a business and blah blah this is football these days etc but it tells you exactly the type of man Ronaldo is, you’re fecking adored by hundreds and thousands of United fans around the world, the reception he gets whenever he returns to OT is something he should be grateful for, treated like a king,

Classless move on all fronts and btw his scum bag agent Mendes who Fergie also spoke really highly off can F*** off too

You can't blame a player for going to City when the opportunity is there for United to sign him and we don't exercise that option

Can we sign Fellaini on a one-match contract for the derby? His elbow would be for once appreciated

Likely just PR to make it seem like we turned him down.

Highly doubt he'd return here. People think he has an affinity towards us when he does not.

If this goes through, Ronaldo should get boo’d out of OT when we play City. Once and for all, we know that he doesn't care one bit for anyone but himself.

You're absolutely right. Fergie and United stood by Ronaldo through thick and thin. The Rooney incident at the World Cup, rape allegations etc. You had a lot of pundits and fans calling on Fergie to give up on Ronaldo and he didn't just stand by him, he made him a key piece to the future of the club. We developed him into one of the best players in the world and allowed him his dream move to Madrid at the age of 24. It's a betrayal.

What timeline is this. All we need now is for Poch to get sacked and Mou to go to PSG.

If he's moving to Manchester, why wouldn't Utd go for him?

I just hope it’s all noise and we’re quietly working in the background to make him an offer.
In all seriousness, we should get involved. Offer more money, sell him the dream of returning to United, and then pull out last minute to leave him stuck at Juve for another season

Ronaldo doesn't even mind the hate United fans will give him. He would welcome it and he'd want to shut us up. Plus the people calling him finished. The pl is a good place to prove them wrong.

Agreed.

Just look at the hatred Arsenal fans have towards Cesc, and this way with Arsenal deciding not to go for him.

I know that for some people he is synonym to the greatest United moments they witnessed and has been our best player at that time. However, as I see it a lot from time to time, can you stop compare this situation and bring Denis Law into it because it is quite frankly embarrassing. Denis practically gave his whole footballing career to United playing for the club 11 years and making more than 400 appearances. The circumstances around the two clubs were quite different at the time, both in terms of club relations and in terms of transfer itself. As been said, the man gave his all in footballing terms to this club and carried himself as a United man with dignity and affection throughout and after his playing years.

Even that time he scored against us (which didn't fecking relegate us!) goes down in memory mostly with how hard he obviously took that goal on himself. Don't remember a worse body reaction from any player once the ball went in.
Denis Law actually joined United after City. He joined us after them so its nothing the same. City were the first big side Law played for and brought him to the big time.

Sorry but if he is going to them for less than 30 million and we aren’t even showing a glimmer of interest it just shows what an absolute shambles of a club we are.
