Hopefully him and Pep fall out badly.

But really City are already (without Ronaldo) probably the best team in Europe. Feels like only a matter of time before win old big ears.

The funny thing is United would never get this giddy about signing Aguero, I think a few City fans see this for what is it but others are jizzing themselves at the prospect of 37 year old Ronaldo.
Ronaldo and Aguero are in no way comparable.

Ronaldo gone to 2/1 in betting now to join United and 1/2 for City.

Calm down folks, Ronaldo coming back to old Trafford.

He's coming home.
He's coming home,
He's coming,
Ronaldo's coming home.

Edit: 6/4 now for united, 4/6 for City.

Interesting one from Rio.
Can surely only mean Ronaldo isn't going to City.
Could easily be a misused meme. You also dont know how Rio/SAF etc feel about this. I genuinely wouldnt be surprised if SAF has given his blessing.

How can grown men be this much into a player? Some here sound like they're about to cry. This is embarrassing.

Talk about utterly zero similarities between the two.

Sancho didn't actually technically play for them anyway!
Exactly, same with some random comment saying "Sancho is Chelsea fan".

It's not difficult to see how different this is compared to Ronaldo.

Not worried at all, the day City got brought it became a fact that they will have a lot of very good players going forward indefinitely. Probably proves what I always suspected which is that all the kind words about Utd after he left were because he was keeping us on the back burner for a lucrative payday if needed. The fact that football players are not loyal to clubs is not anything new and not something I particularly care about.

That's how the caf has been for ages. It's all a bit Ronniecaf. One silver lining of this potentially transfer is the caf getting out from his bumhole

It makes me laugh when people say Ronaldo isn't a United legend, when he utterly annihilated the league and won the world play of the year here.

Sancho impact on City? Might struggle to hype that one up

Alan Smith, Owen, RvP?

Is the whole ‘you can play for both Utd and its rival’ only applies when we are on the receiving end?

Happy in the knowledge that both us and Madrid saw his best years. Still a world class player and no doubt he will slam home the winner for the Champions league for City next summer but hey is what it is.

The satisfying thing would be when he plays 2 years for city and they still fail to win the CL. Would leave his career on a low note after failing the task with Juve.

Owen is the only one comparable. And even then, Liverpool fans didn't care as much because his career had gone down the pan.

Look, no one, not even City fans, like City. The league doesn't like City, the other managers don't like City, no one respects them and no one wants to see them succeed.

I suspect the most upset are those who have to work with, are related to or deal with berties every sodding day, and know exactly how piss boilingly predictable the 'banter' is going to be for the entire season.

The abu dhabi boys have build a club on our name, the picked city because they share half a name with us and we are one of the three most recognized brands in the sport.

Already seeing the Tevez style welcome to manchester nonsense.

A smart man, that’s who. A man that doesn’t want to lose half of his net worth to divorce & child support payments, and only get 50/50 time with his kids (if he’s lucky). It’s 100% what I would do if I was wealthy, the system is entirely rigged against men so I think we’ll start seeing this happen a lot more.

Not really given we've had players who have contributed much more to the club. Ronaldo was great here but only for three years and the last season 08/09 wasn't even that great. Before he was an exciting but unproductive and frustrating kid.

Anyway if he moves to City his status as a legend at United will be even more empty. Great for those few years, phenomenal for that one, but not a player who is part of the fabric of the club.

Some here hold on dearly to him as if he's the player equivalent of SAF, or something. For eg he does not mean to United what Messi does to Barcelona which is why the move (whether it happens it not) is definitely on the cards.

Players can play for whichever club they want to, that doesn't mean few should come up with dumb comparisons.

Are you sure it (a feeling of grievance) didn't apply to Arsenal and Leeds for those deals? If Ageuro moved to us while we were their close rivals and was still quality of course City fans would be upset.

If he's going to City (after having been moulded by United and SAF) then he can't undersatnd what is right in this world and what makes you a man of integrity.
It's useless being Maradona and being a shite character - Pele on the other hand was always a gentleman not only a great player.
So yes he's a weirdo, traitor, twat etc etc etc.

Not sure that makes him a weirdo.

Maradona was a madman, he was a drug addict, he didn't hide it. Pele was a serial adulterer and doesn't even know how many kids he may or may not have had, apparently he even refused to acknowledge some that he did know about. But he's a nice guy, so it's ok. The same is said for George Best, he was an alcoholic and a wife beater, but underneath he was nice guy, a bit of a rogue, so it was all ok.

Ronaldo has only ever cared about Ronaldo. He came from nothing to be one of the best footballers ever, he doesn't owe anybody anything.

I take it with a pinch of salt, same as when Rio was on the 'verge' of joining Chelsea
Eh I try but the amount of people on here over the years who seem to think Rooney was in a taxi on his way to the Etihad to sign a contract is mad. Amazing what a few tabloid headlines based on not much can implant in peoples heads.

Seria A has been a 1 horse race for almost a decade though.
It’s no difference to LL in past decade before Ronaldo join Juventus in 2018:

Barca: 7 LL titles from 08-18
Juventus: 7 Serie A titles from 08-18

Ronaldo add 2 more Serie A titles for Juventus since.
Messi only managed to add 1 more for Barca since.

I know he probably is a narcissistic prik, but where is the value choosing City over retaining the legacy at United and keeping the strong relationship with Sir Alex ? Potensially winning another CL or Ballon D or ? Second one aint gonna happen, and he has 5 Cl gold medals already. Its not about the money either.

Did occur to me. Particularly if the personal issues that were mentioned in regards to Cavani over the last few weeks are the sort of thing that might make him want to spend more time at home anyway.
If the situation with Cavani is true then we should at a minimum be exploring this as an option.

That's the biggest issue with this forum though to be honest. People need to be told what to think by the media and rival fans/rival pundits a majority of the time, like they're seeking validation for supporting their own team.
