Pant trying to wack and mistimes it
Another spin wicket
. See India only getting another 10-20
So 325 lead?

Is India safe yet? There's 140 odd overs left in a flat batting track. England have been consistently scoring at 3 an over this series.
Feel like 30 more would be nice. It feels like a nothing track.

Given how this test has gone so far, I’m guessing India will get to 300 lead, everyone will assume it’s done, then India will collapse in the space of a few overs to bring England back into it
Good prediction.

Pant wicket was huge for England, he would have been really handy to add 30-40 quick runs here. Now I doubt we will score 10. To make it worse we don't even have a part time spinner like Root in the team...

Why is Ashwin not picked? With him in the side, 315 was a guaranteed win.
In hindsight both teams were just chosen based on how the wicket looked on the first day.

Both camps didn't see the game going into final day.

This is a big lead now. Feels like India win or the draw are the only options now. No Stokes to pull off a miracle!

All these runs are crucial. 4 sessions , 10 wickets. Should be a good final day and a bit.

hope there are no positives in the camp tomorrow - this is our game to win now

Bumrah and Yadav batting they way they are, shows how dead the pitch is. If India can chase 320+ on Gabba on final day, England can chase 350+ here also. Still 50/50

Only 2 failures in Indian line up: Jadeja and Rahane. And even for Jadeja you can say that he did see out a tricky period last night so added some value of sorts. Far from over this game

I don’t know if it’s been said on commentary, but another factor is going in to bat for an hour or so tonight, after spending a long time in the field. I don’t see England being able to start off well.

I hope for the sake of the spectators we can make a good go of it…the test match, series even, deserves a close day 5 finish.

England need this wicket quick time before more runs are added

Then they can sorta deal with this as a one day if they want to win

That's a good point. It's been a slog and the heat wouldn't have helped. Apparently gonna be hotter tomorrow so will favour England tomorrow. .

Edit: ok there it is
Lead is more impressive than I thought they would get.

I'm guessing no team has ever lost having put up 466 in the 3rd innings.. that is a lot of 3rd innings runs..

368 is doable here for England
There’s no doubt it’s doable on this pitch. I’m just not sure England have it in them mentally. I can genuinely see a couple of quick wickets, but I hope I’m wrong.

I’m expecting an England top order batting collapse. If they get through to tomorrow without losing a wicket, they have a chance. If they end tonight 2 or 3 down, as I suspect, then it’s game over

Can't see England doing this, bar Root not sure we have a batting order with the right temprement, or that does all that well under pressure.

Having said that, if these two can do what they did in the last test and have an opening of around 120-0... well then.

Good start by England. India will be lucky to get a wicket today. I reckon England chase the total down tomorrow.

Gonna be an easy chase for England. It's over.
Easy! Not a chance. Will be a very impressive effort if England get the win and even the draw would be something. I still think India win has to be the most likely outcome.
