I actually do really like Dan James in fairness, he's starting today as well

Liverpool players past and present all spend their days dipping in bins so none of them.

Leeds: Rio and Alan Smith

I don't think anyone else qualifies as a rival. City for instance have been either no marks or a plastic oil joke depending on the time period so meh

I liked Henry at Arsenal but not during the actual time we were playing him.

Gazza in the old timers division, although him staying at Spurs only a few years made it easier.

Recent players: Kante, David Silva, Rashford.

Kante should win this hands down, amazing player and seems a great guy too.

Xabi Alonso was a top player and I've never heard anything but good things about him off the pitch, every other Liverpool player can go feck themselves though.

Bale, but more for his Wales performances.

PL - Ronaldo Amazing player and an amazing job to stay at such a high level

Outside PL - Haaland

Kante is my favorite Chelsea player....by a wide margin.

Barnes & Xabi Alonso from the dippers.
De Bruyne from City if we are even counting them.

Vieira and Shearer for me, absolute warriors and played at time when the game was a bit more physical which I liked!

Drogba for sure, he used to terrorize Arsenal and Liverpool

I hated Arsenal and Liverpool back in the 00s, but not Chelsea, don't know why, probably due to the fact that most of my mates never supported Chelsea those days

Henry.

I always used to try to copy that trademark slide finish into the far corner when I was younger. He used to make keepers look so helpless.

Peter Beardsley but more from his Newcastle days. Fkin genius. Also Viera. The battles between him and Keane were something else.

United minus the Glazers
For me it was when Berbatov played for Leverkusen and Spurs (not exactly our most hated rivals but…)
I remember admiring just how sublime his first touch was at the time and his silky passing. His lazy nonchalant demeanour when on the ball made it all the more intriguing. And we got him a few years later.

So, don’t have rivals. Only feeder clubs.

Who is the player who played for your clubs most hated rivals but you still can't help but have a soft spot for?

Mine would be John Barnes. Such a classy player and by all accounts a good guy as well. Met him a couple times and was very humble and friendly. The Caribbean accent probably helps too. Too young to have watched him in his prime but caught him at the end of his career at Newcastle etc. He's in that group of greats that played before the premiership and internet so gets less credit by the casual football fan.
Not a single one. Until they retire they are all just the worst.

As player Shearer.

I could watch Shearer smash in goals all day. Now he's a twat and I turn off the TV as soon as he comes on. I even pause MOTD for about 20 mins just so i can fast forward through all his nonsense.

As a few have already said, Henry and Drogba. Impossible not to respect and appreciate them even as rivals. Really have a soft spot for Drogba as he is a very charitable and decent bloke.

I’d add Demba Ba to Henry and Drogba for his services to football. Ronaldinho for his magic.
