How would the players and fans react tomorrow if the board backs Ole?

Mutiny really. Can't imagine Ronaldo, Varane, Pogba or Bruno being happy with the shite we currently serve. People underestimate the power these players have. And they're all about winning.

I don’t. Barca are a total mess though the PL is more competitive.
They will make the needed changes to get out of this mess much faster than us. Fans won't accept mediocrity and not the coach, but the board will feel the pressure too. If they don't improve, they'll be ousted, and someone else will come to improve them.

Absolutely you can. Just like I can have an opinion on yours.
Just remember that if it wasn’t for foreign fans, United wouldn’t be the financial juggernaut that it is, darling. The moment United stop signing sponsorship deals all over the world, doing tours in faraway places, and happily collecting tv revenue from overseas fans, I’ll happily stop giving my opinion about United and its match going fans.

Until then, stay in your lane and stop telling people what to do and not to do.

Next.

We are not going to sack a manager - let alone one who is a club legend, in October, not a chance. Why are people acting surprised? He was a long term appointment, and we invested heavily in signings for him. He will likely see out the season until out of contention for big prizes and UCL qualification.

We're not Chelsea.
European champions? That Chelsea?

I would certainly not want to play under a manager this inadequate if I was a quality player and had big aspirations. However if I was an average player and just happy to be at the club and was always getting picked despite my own mediocrity, I'd be all for him staying as long as possible!

True. We haven't won the CL in quite a while and they won it last year.

After sacking the manager half way thru the season.

Exactly, we are not.

They are a successful club. We were a successful club. Big, big difference.

Embarrassing. Even Barcelona in its sorry state have more expectatinos than us. Truly the majority of our fans have a very small club-like mentality. You'd never see this circus happen at any other top club.

He's at the very least lost Bruno, who don't forget often single handedly bailed him out so often since he purchased him.

I keep seeing posts referring to Pogba's face as he came off after his red what was he doing? Anyone got a picture?

Ridiculous, isn't it. There's an absolute world of difference between accepting mediocrity and harassing, insulting and belittling a club legend.
Or they could simply do neither. What strawman are you arguing with here?

Yeah Chelsea sack a manager then made correct appointment and bought a proper coach in, turned their season around and won champions league. That's the difference. Board didn't accept what was happening on the pitch. They sacked one of their own as well in Lampard. Its a results business and ole spent 400 odd million in 3 seasons and that's the shite served up. End of the day ole wouldn't get a job with City, Liverpool or Chelsea if available.

Some of you need psychological help if you think behaviour of the Barca fans is preferable. What’s wrong with you?
The ones in need of psychological help are the ones who choose to remain in this abusive marriage that is Ole's management instead of calling for a divorce as the best option for all parties.

Give peas a chance.
Some people on here almost seem annoyed he's not getting his car trashed like from those vile Barcelona fans.
Apparently you’re part of a cult if you don’t want him stripped naked and paraded through the streets with that lovely woman from Ted Lasso shouting ”Shame” at him that I only mildly find erotic.

In all seriousness though, some people have so much misguided rage, it’s actually scary. Pure trollish behaviour that has seemingly become the norm in this place. There’s being annoyed and frustrated with performance and results, but some on here take it way too far.

The club will have jumped the shark. That’s the part where people give up on something and stop watching. We already saw that with the exodus from Old Trafford today. There won’t be anger, there won’t be protests, just a loss of interest.

I don't think anyone is suggesting doing the latter.
Agreed, but someone was comparing the way that our fans treat Ole and the way Barca fans treated koeman, implying that theirs was symptomatic of a more ambitious fanbase. I disagree

Every single time the club encounter this period with the manager they support until the end of the season. It's missing top four that will cause them to trigger any action. The difference though is the quality of this team is far to superior. I actually think the players will potentially down tools if results don't pick up.

They will probably back him. I don’t think it’s at the stage where the board feels it has no choice but to sack him. That’s all there is to it, I suppose.

But only an idiot thinks the board ignores a 5-0 thrashing. If and when he does finally get sacked, the 0-5 to Liv will be a big factor in the decision.

Meanwhile, the team have to try and get some results. If things improve and we start clawing back some ground then the chance of imminent sacking will recede. Again, that’s just the way it is with these guys. Either way, he’s a dead man walking now.

Not every time. Not last time even.

Unlike Mourinho, Ole isn’t a combative personality. The only people that can ensure his sacking are the players and from what I’ve read they seem fine with him.

Although I can’t quite fathom what is going on in Ronaldo’s head right now. What a horrendous way to end a stellar career…unless of course our fortunes change or we announce a new manager, both of which are unlikely.

I can't see us throwing out the values of the club to adapt the short term Abramovich model. Even if the call is already made, you'd hope there would be a plan for when it happens. Chelsea axed Lampard knowing an ideal candidate was available to take over, which is not the case at this stage in the season for us.

WTF ? Why would anyone take a selfie that will remind him forever that on this day his team got thrashed 5-0 on their home by their big rivals ?
Selfie with a famous person for instagram. That's all they care about.

Just to say that I never said anything about foreign fans being an issue at all. The issue I have is with people slagging off how fans attending the match act when they're not there themselves. Congrats, never used the ignore function before but you're well worth busting my cherry for.

Of all the things that are wrong, today was the first time I wondered if the players looked fed up. Up til now, I honestly don’t think he’s lost the dressing room. Even now, I still don’t think he has. I just don’t think the coaching team assembled and the manager are up to the task.

He is not going anywhere until top 4 comes into question. United could still make the top 4 under his management, given the talent in the squad. So he will stay. What’s going to happen is the players will down tools and we will be midtable in December, so that’s when he will get sacked. Same as Mouriniho and LVG when it was apparent months before they left that they needed to go.

I'd be furious. I honestly think I'd rather our fans react like the Barca fans than the ones asking for his autograph. We've just been lucky to lose only 5-0 to our biggest rivals at home.
