Gut feeling is this is going to be Ole's last match in charge. Although we have fallen off a cliff .it was much better ride than the dross times of LvG, Mourinho and Moyesey!

Going to be positive till KickOff. Than the usual.

According to the Manchester Evening news. Confirmed United squad members

David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, Alex Telles, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Fred, Donny van de Beek, Bruno Fernandes, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Jadon Sancho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood

Note: Marcus Rashford was not spotted arriving with the team by photographers but it is possible he may have arrived separately

No Cavani (was already rumoured to be out injured) and Lindelof though Ole today hinted he might play yet.
If that's what is available it'll be...

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw Telles
    McTominay Fred
    Bruno
    Ronaldo Rashford

It'll be a draw. Cagey game. City to score just before half time. Rashford to score in the 78th minute and United to bring on Cavani for a push at the end but it to finish a draw. The Ole bus rolls on.

I don't think we can come back from a goal down against City (or any top side) from what we've seen so far. Any semblance of shape goes when we're chasing a goal lead. We overcome poor/average teams because we've got too much talent for them when we throw the kitchen sink at them, but even then it's been touch and go often.

Not confident for today’s game at all we’re just not at the level to face City right now and with so many important injuries I can’t see anything but a City win, just hope it’s not too bad maybe 2-0..

We definitely can’t afford to play Telles imo. So weak and lacks confidence on the ball...always looking to hand over to someone. Shaw at left wingback is an out and a way to relieve pressure. He is resilient and will take the ball in tight spaces...lose that and we will be pinned on both wings. I’d rather see Matic in that back 3 or...a back 2 with Matic and Fred and McTominay in a midfield 3. Matic is essential imo...our most press resistant midfielder and will not hide.

You must be fed up with mentioning the possibility of sacking Ole now

Not you personally but it seems to be more than the norm these days when talking about Ole.

Just get rid of the bloke, he’s done

He's a like a lame duck president at this point. The only thing keeping him in the job is the fact there's no ready-made replacement who fits the mould of the current squad.

Zidane didn't want it and Conte would have needed a major rebuild. Everyone else is contracted.

If the next Klopp or Guardiola was available today, they'd already have been appointed. Ole is effectively a caretaker manager at this point.

I don't get the obsession from supposed United fans of kicking the club while it's down. Ole will be sacked as soon the right candidate can be found. Wishing defeat in a derby is a fecking horrific way of supporting the club.

    What bad feeling?

No one can tell actually. Some wants to lose. Some wants to win. Some okay with a draw to avoid conflict.
I always want a win but just not feeling it today. It doesn't matter if Ole loses his job or not.

City without a striker need to be precise with everything they do, we don't.
And this being OT, I can't see Pep going all out attack. Reckon we could get a result here.

Without Lindelof and Varane that defence scares me proper. Welp.
Bailly showed a lot of promise in midweek. He made a tonne of errors, but you can see his ability from miles away. He'll stamp down on those errors with more game time too.

As for Maguire, well, he's all over the shop. A shadow of the player from last season and what we saw at the Euros.

But when both are fit and on form, I think they can be an effective partnership as they cover each other's weaknesses.

I post here because, in all truth, it’s a very good forum.

My ‘tongue in cheek’ comment was made because you’d slipped (deliberately, I’d presumed?) into pure fantasy.

I’ll take your reply as being ‘tongue in cheek‘ likewise.

PS. Can I take it from your moniker that you’re an enthusiastic allotment grower?
Despite of that post being a nonsense fantay, you seem to get offended which means even it has some truths in it. You wouldn't have replied if you didn't. I know it's hard when your club is owned by an oil state. I can't relate but I know it's hard.

Recent league results against City are good. Normally I’d think that means we’re in line for a pumping but they’ve given us a couple in the league cup, so there may be cause for optimism here. 2-0 City.

There’s an international break after this right? It’s gonna be a long one if we lose with all the reports of who we’re after to replace Ole.

I’m wasn’t offended by your offensive opinion because I thought that you were deliberately playing the clown / talking nonsense in an attempt to be funny.
    Made me laugh

And anyhow, why would I think that a supporter of the long term official partner of Saudi Arabia’s state owned telecom company, a club that has, does and will gladly take what you describe as ‘oil money’, should shamelessly lambast another club for doing the exact moral equivalent to what his club does?
See, it makes no sense for the pot to call the kettle black so it had to be comedy.

You should park the hate mate because stress is a killer and I’m not here to have a pop at you so just relax eh?
I have beers with plenty of good united supporters, share opinions, have a laugh etc. and you and I would likely get along like a house on fire if ever we got together so don’t let the fact that you’ve got a keyboard and a great distance between us make you descend to a social media level of throwing abuse into a void from a position of safety.

And, go on, I was right that your tenpole title is allotment related wasn’t I :)

I feel like we’ve gone into every single international break at the right time for Ole’s sake when pressure starts mounting so far

I’d never wish for us to lose a match but I don’t agree that Ole will be sacked as soon as the right candidate becomes available. Pochettino was literally unemployed last season, it’s no secret that he’s interested in the United job but we persisted with Ole despite obvious signs he was never gonna work out. Tuchel was available before he came to Chelsea. Conte may not have been ideal but he couldn’t possibly be worse than ole at the minute. The club are showing no signs that they are in a hurry to change manager.

We won against a dreadful Spurs, who sacked their manager immediately.
We were humiliated by Liverpool, before that.
We were humiliated by Leicester, before that.
We limped to a draw against Everton, before that.
We lost to Aston Villa, before that.

Given the above, it would be a minor miracle to come out of this game with any points.
And the bigger question is: what voodoo is Ole using to hang onto his job?

Win-win situation today. We win and we’ve dampened City’s title hopes (plus it always feels great beating that mob).

We lose and we’re a step closer to binning Ole.

I'm thinking the Spurs game was a false dawn and going by how City have performed in their big league clashes this season, we could be in for another hiding.
A loss here and Ole will probably be let go yet we've now missed out on Conte also.

Only the 2nd home game with fans allowed in that I've missed in any senior competition since before the 2010 World Cup. The other game we won 1-0 so the omens are good!

We've not missed out on Conte. No chance he'd have joined Spurs had we had any interest.
