Internationals November (World Cup Qualifiers)

This is like Romario adding goals he scored at the copacabana with his mates to his official career stats.

Fair play to Northern Ireland, cracking second half of football, impressive performance that

Swiss deserve credit. That's 9 out of the last 10 main tournaments (EC or WC) they made.

Northern Ireland hold Italy 0-0. I was on my feet in the 91st minute thinking Connor Washington was about to win it, but stopped on the line

Clearly not, with that line up. Shame though, as I really wanted that perfect 10.

Yeah, but only would have been fun with 10 clean sheets. The Faroe Islands ruined that.

Anyway, with Højbjerg, Delaney, Damsgaard, Poulsen, Braithwaite, Stryger-Larsen missing, I can't say I had high hopes of winning it.

Disappointing to lose to a team like Scotland. Even though Denmark has only used 5 players that they normally use, they should win here. Scotland have had a good shoal but have only 2 players who are really good.

Get in!!

Had no confidence we would get anything in this game but I’m so glad Scotland proved me wrong.

Definitely overachievers.
That it's more attendances than Croatia,Serbia, Belgium, etc and the same attendances as Portugal...with lesser players.

Given that Switzerland barely had top players, bar Chapuisat, they are overachievers and a very well coached team.
Of course they have limitations, which is why they never fo far in tournaments, but seems impressive still.

As for Italy, Jorginho gave away the direct qualification missing that penalty in the last minute, he must feel very guilty for this ending.

Kane will be knackered at the weekend. :)
Maguire will be as well. No doubt Ole has that lined up as an excuse already. I can just hear him now after Watford win "it's not right our players having to play on Monday and then having to play the following weekend"

what are the play offs?
Still games tomorrow. Wonder how they can affect it.

Thanks, should have just made them unseeded. If you finish second, its the same across the groups. Would have made for more interesting matches. Wales will be hoping to avoid Portugal and Italy.

I'm sure our lovely Italy resident @giorno is quite thrilled right now :D

Doing his research on who Peacock-Farrell plays for I think.;)

Would be hugely disappointed if Italy don't make it though as I really enjoyed watching them during the euros. Just been a bit complacent, didn't they only draw at home to Bulgaria so that's cost them as much as the two Swiss draws and tonight.

We have a great chance to qualify now. Don’t feck it up you cnuts.

With way they're playing you'd fancy Scotland at home against many of those, feels inevitable they'll get Wales (who'll probably be hoping for Scotland given who they can also get).

Don’t think Italy going to qualify for the world cup

Squad completely out of shape, low level of confidence, wouldn’t be able to beat Malta

But fortunately the playoff are in march
