We need a manager now.

Not at the end of the season, now.
That means one thing and one thing only - he's gettable.

And that means one of two things - he's either without a job (Zidane, Ragnick, Fonseca..) or a manager who has a job but we could draw him in with an offer and a chance to work his magic in the Best club in the world (Ten Hag, Potter).

If we can't convince Ten Hag to come now, then get Potter.

Plays a similar formation, knows the league.

Do it. Tomorrow.

Zidane edging in front of Rodgers now in the odds, Needs to happen. This club has lost track of football entirely. We need the triple cl winning manager. One of the best players of all time. His head’s even shaped liked a football!

I'd take Potter over Brent that's for damn sure.

If we're gonna hire someone not qualified at least let them be young and improving, and not a massively cringe ex-Liverpool blowhard who's flailing at his current club.

But even this comes with huge red flags.

Doesn't speak English. Wants the French job. Family don't want to live in England.

It's a shambles what these owners have done to this club. They need hanging in the streets.

Yeah but he's a short term appointment anyway. Practically an interim.

That's what we need. After the world cup Ten Hag, Enrique, Marco Rose... actual proper quality managers, might all be available.

What we don't need is a £16m buyout 3-year-deal Bodgers rebuilding job. Literally anything but that is good news.

I've heard as Ole went to the away section to apologize he was sworn at and greeted with v signs. Shows you what an absolitely horrific ownership we have who have let things go this far.

Can't believe we missed out on Poch and Conte during periods of Ole struggling.

I'd like Ragnick til the end of the season and then he goes Director of Football.

Ragnick chooses our new manager for next season.

Of course. Fans have had enough of losing and that was always going to happen.

The owners and the board are the biggest jokers in football. We are finished as an elite club until the club is sold.

I don't want Zidane if Zidane doesn't want United.

If the board need to beg and cajole him to join the club, he's not worth the effort. The desire and motivation won't be there on day one, and that's a terrible way to start off a managerial appointment.

What clue would you give them, then?

If you sack a manager, you have to appoint a replacement at the same time. And if the replacement isn't immediately available, you have to appoint a caretaker who's going to eventually be replaced by the replacement.

It's all a part of the same process. You can't simply want to do the first part without also planning for the second and third parts.

We should get Claudio Ranieri as interim manager till the end of the season.

Watford is going to get relegated anyway and he'll be out of a job next year, so he'll jump at the opportunity.

There's no chance he'd leave Watford after only 5 games.

In 2 years or so we will be back here again without changes at the top. Owners/Board/DOF etc.
The reason we're here in the first place is because of knee-jerk decision making. Something that about 80% of the Caf seem desperate to repeat.

I'm curious as hell as to who we'll bring in.

Zidane is a big-enough name to command the respect from these players, and also I feel he'll use Ronaldo perfectly. Whether he had one of the great Madrid teams or not, you have to be an elite manger to win three CL on the bounce. With that being said, I can't see him wanting the job in its current state mid-season.

Rodgers is a possibility, but I just can't see us paying mega money to buy out him of Leicester mid-season.

I'm all aboard the Ten Hagg tried next Summer to be honest, so ideally someone who will take a caretaker role for the next 8 months. I'm clueless as to who would take that role though.

I don’t see a scenario in which Zidane accepts the job, whilst still harbouring reservations.

I still to this day don't get the Zidane links.

Doesn't speak English, and doesn't seem remotely interested in managing in England. Nor do I get why he'd risk his reputation eating the shite sandwich that is our club.

None of it really makes sense.

It's Ten Hag or bust.

Poach everyone from Ajax and let's modernize this club finally.

Pay whatever they want. We can stump up the cash for players, do it for a manager and his staff now.

I hope you're right.

Unfortunately, this board has a history of throwing big money at one-off big signings, and then hoping that that solves everything.

Bringing in Zidane with an offer he can't refuse would be the managerial equivalent of the Di Maria signing.

In other words, I wouldn't put it past the owners. The Glazers' priority has always been about maximising the value of the Assets on the company Balance Sheet. If that means an expensive contract for a resource who doesn't want to be here, so be it. All that matters is how it tallies up on the accounts.
