Not optimistic. They've had our number in recent years. God I miss the days when we'd blitz Wenger's sides with counter attacks.

We have to go for the win. Can't set up like we did at Chelsea. Will be a very interesting team selection as I assume Rangnick will definitely be having an influence on things at this point.

Shaw and Maguire walk straight back in if fit, although I suspect they'll not rush Shaw back from a concussion. I don't think VDB will start nor do I think he'll be rated as highly as some suspect under RR. Matic wont play two games in quick succession so McFred are automatic. I could see us going for Lingard over Rashford as a surprise to give us a bit more work rate.

    De Gea

    AWB Lindelof Maguire Telles

    McTominay Fred

    Sancho Bruno Rashford

I think the players will be hungry for a win. I expect us to score some goals 3-1. We really need to be playing Bruno Ronaldo and Sancho, and hopefully Donnie in the starting 11. Hope to see Greenwood at some point.

Well, typically over the last few years whoever is going through an awful streak tends to win this one. Here's hoping that continues.

That´s it, but maybe, just maybe, Dalot on the left.

Lose this and our top four rivals will start pulling away.
Now what I expected to be talking about in August.

I see all the possible lineups people have suggested.

Do we really not have a back up to AWB ?

I watched him closely on Sunday and he is absolutely woeful.

United need to be careful, the current “let’s not get another battering” approach has to stop now.

Arsenal are nothing to fear, Carrick should set them up to win and end his 3 match span with some points on the board.

    2-1

I think Carrick will go with the same 11 as the Villareal game, same subs too to try to decide the game in the final stages.

Ralf on the earpiece too probably haha!

Rangnick’s officially the manager now, so I imagine this will be his team. As such, I’m going for:

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Lindelof Telles
    McT Fred
    Sancho Bruno Lingard
    Ronaldo

Maguire simply cannot play. We’re so much better defensively without him at the moment.

Old Trafford will be roaring. Wasn’t sure about paying tribute to Ole as the man already has songs deservedly paying tribute to his playing achievements, and he’s still alive, he just got sacked for being a dreadful manager. However, it doesn’t really matter now as Carrick will be there anyway, thus any awkwardness and looking back to the past will be avoided. Whatever it is though, getting behind the team will be mightily important.

United 2-0 Arsenal. Ronaldo x1, Mason x1. We need this!

I think they’ll beat us fairly comfortably, they a better team than us despite having an inferior squad. We won’t be able to play as negatively as have done in previous 2 games and see that being our undoing.

I'm assuming you're channelling RR's 4-2-2-2 here, but I just don't see BF working there.

Would most have Maguire straight back into the team?

I'd be very tempted to start Lindelof Bailly personally

Is Rangnick there for this or do you not know yet?

He should not start for a long time based on merit, but a certain price tag dictates he will. Doesn’t matter, it’s not like the other two are prime Italy.

Sincerely hope not because I hate the Gooners with a passion.
But.... for some reason I have a feeling, nothing more than that, that it may not turn out well.
    But let's wait and see.
Hope I will be pleasantly surprised.

This game is going to be a borefest, 2 teams only able to play counter-attack and with no creativity in the final third.

they role with the same formation but Maguire comes in, would rather see Bailly. Who knows if Matic can go again so I opted for another midfielder as VDB is literally the only other central midfielder available. Ronaldo gets the start over Rashford in this one.

I personally wouldn't but it'll be interesting to see Rangnick's view of our players once he starts working with them, especially Maguire.

I certainly hope he won't just pick Maguire just because Ole made him the captain of Manchester United & Carrick & Southgate both seem to love him as well, we shall see.

In any case, if Rangnick does start him in his first game in charge, I hope he has the balls & intelligence to instantly drop him if Maguire puts in the kind of shitty performances we have often seen from him in the past under Ole, instead of us looking at the team sheet for the next game dumbfounded at the fact he starts again despite being awful in the previous game.

Man Utd will try to attack more because it is just arsenal. It will be a more open game for both side as Arsenal's defense is not that great either.

Score draw or we steel a win. This will be close, Arsenal up for it but Carrick may have something up his sleeve in his last match (don't bank on it though). We need nothing but a win but seeing how slow this board are and we still do not have a interim in charge, a draw is a good result. 2 more points dropped.

I can take a defeat against most teams...apart from that lot. Absolutely detest them with a passion. I just hope we fecking smash 'em.
A bit harsh…I’d have thought we’d be behind Liverpool and City in your pecking order of hate…

Arsenal beat us at Old Trafford last season. They'll have the confidence to come and do it again. Don't think we're winning it tbh.
