Well form picks last season worked better for me. Got Bamford, Watkins for example and they did great over the full season. Raphinha as well.

This year I went Kane despite his awful Pl form and it has remained awful.

I picked Mbeumo due to liking his stats and attacking role, but it failed.
The players you mention had good underlying stats though and performed relative to them, which is the point.

Bamford - 18.27xG, 17 goals.
Watkins - 14.55xG, 14 goals
Raphinha - 5.73xG, 6 goals

Compared to:

Bilva (so far this season) - 3.67xG, 7 goals.

That doesn't mean Bilva can't keep overperforming his stats (players do sometimes, for months on end) or that players like Mbeumo can't continue underperforming but we know it is an overperformance/underperformance relative to the stats they're posting so can anticipate some potential for regression. Whereas the players you mentioned were returning pretty much exactly what they would have been expected to.

So with Reguilon and Toney most likely not available for next week I will be forced to play Saint-Maximin at Leicester and Watkins at Liverpool. While not perfect, it’s still good to have a deep team and not have to make a transfer.

Transfers for next week made already as I'll be away from internet for the next week or so. Kane (what a stupid move bringing him in was) out for Ronnie and bench filler 4.5 dross replaced with bench filler 4.3 dross.

Thinking of bringing Slabhead in as a differential.
Think Ralf will sort the defence out first

39 from 11, with just Ramsdale to come. Could come close to doubling my rank and fall out of top 50k if the final few threats deliver. Bowen stranded as the first unused sub.

Remember when we were all really excited at the Ronaldo > Lukaku > Kane merry-go-round? Settling for Kane rather than making changes to get Son has been a poor decision. Looking ahead to Norwich, they have tightened up their defence now, so the fixture is no longer the haul fest it once was. They didn’t concede too much xG to Norwich today. Kane to Ronaldo is an easy move, but is it the right one, especially if you have 2 FTs to move easily move the funds into midfield?

Is Ronaldo really the right move? I think he will get rotated quite a bit over the busy period. Lot of money to spend on a player that won't play every game.

50 points with Ramsdale and ESR to play which feels like a very good score after a horrendous start with James-Cancelo-Alonso. Was planning on offloading Son to fund a move for Ronaldo but not sure that's wise now. So many midfielders I want to own though and so few strikers

Why is Toney out? And why didn't he play today? He's not flagged.

I think he will play and start every match. He looks as capable as anyone else at doing it. He’s in incredibly good shape.

Kane had -1 on their bonus point system

Shit week in general, but glad I'm not falling for him on top of anything, even if he still did score the same as Ronaldo regardless.

Did they say how long they expect Toney out for?
I'm guessing he has no symptoms if he only tested positive for it on todays tests so surely that's 10 days? At absolute worse if they do these things in private until gameday it's December 12th as he played on the 2nd.. so yeah, he's out for next week, potentially the 14th too if the test was today(or yesterday?).

Under these tactics, no chance.

Guess he will have to isolate for 10 days, after that it depends how hard it hit him. Would sell.
Absolutely - you can gain a whopping 1.7 for dropping him for Broja, who seems more likely to score but maybe not so guaranteed, and well yeah, Watford have 2 options to bank too. Then upgrade that 6.0-7.0 midfielder, with Jota, Silva, Foden and Mount all better options that Toney.

Can't believe I got away with not owning Kane for that run of games

I'd have got him in too if the rest of my team wasn't full of fires that needing putting out.

Really frustrating as I only kept him this long for Leeds and Watford.

My plan for next week was Kane and Raphinha out for Ronaldo and Bowen but I guess I'll have to do Kane and Toney for King and Ronaldo.

I bet Raphinha will somehow stay in my team long term with all these injuries/suspensions etc

Dropping in my work league after weeks of clinging onto 2nd undeservedly / having had a storming first 10 weeks.

Team doesn't look "too" bad on paper.

Ramsdale
TAA Cancelo James Reguillon Duffy
Salah Raph Jota Townsend Burnley
Kane Antonio Hwang

Thinking that Kane is critical to get out of there, probably for Ronaldo this week. Will need to monitor the drop/rise of respective values to make sure the 0.1m bank works out.

Next up after that probably need to finally get Townsend out of there, potentially with Hwang.

So which forward to get for Kane?

Ronaldo is the best, but then I can't uppgrade Raphinha and Brownhill into something good.
