Just the 7 new signings then.

And Carragher? Getting Jamie out of retirement to play in our midfield is a bold move.

Out of all that, Kounde and Tchouameni only likely signings IMO. And a left back if Alonso goes. Kepa, Alonso, Werner, RLC all possibly to go

I can tell you with 100 percent certainty this won’t be your squad next season.

Looks like Azpi is off to Barca. Proper club legend, good luck Dave if you do go home!
Sad but understandable if true.

Nice end to a brilliant career, playing for one of the most iconic clubs in his country, having represented the most iconic clubs in both England and France.

He will leave a legend. A player who gives his all. Long stint at one club in these times and he has never complained regardless where he has played. Covered the whole backline at times and just a fantastic servant at Chelsea.

Looks like we're going to lose Rudiger, Azpi and Christensen.
In addition to these Sarr has to leave for lack of quality.
Thiago Silva and Chalobah will remain and from then on we will rebuild a new defense.
Süle, Bremen and Koundé are likely options.

Azpi and Rudiger most likely going, Azpi been a great player for us but no longer in his prime. Keeping Rudiger would destroy our wage structure so understandable to me club won't match what Real are offering. I expect Christensen to renew.

Weird article on us on ESPN today, disagree with quite a lot of it. They even get our fixture dates wrong way around... The article talks like we were dead certainties for the title this year.

Whilst it'd be great to be able to keep pace with City.... Tuchel not even been in the job a year and they're a machine. 2nd or 3rd with a decent improvement in points and any trophy is surely our realistic expectation of the season?

I agree with that. Amazing how he’s played and led us. Hopefully he’ll return in some capacity.

Will they ever recover from drawing against Carrick?

They are running on fumes between the injuries, Covid, and the fixture congestion. And they have potentially the most fixtures of any side in Europe in the next five months.

If they made the finals of all competitions (they won't, but in theory) they could play 36 more games this season. If we assume that they won't lose to Lille in the CL R16, to Chesterfield in the FA Cup 3rd round, or to whatever club they play in the Club World Cup semifinal, it will be a minimum of 28 more matches. That's going to be a major slog.

Any chance for a PL title died against Brighton. I can’t believe all the injuries this year.

Didn't notice this during the game. How did the ref/VAR miss it?

More of what he said.

“I really, genuinely from the bottom of my heart hope to come back to Inter, not at the end of my career, but while I am still at the level to win more trophies.”
