We signed him as a advisor not a manager, it seems most people already forget that. He will not manage us long-term and will help us make the transition to our next manager. It's also way too early to make any definitive statements. People weren't hyped for him as a manager and what he does in the next few weeks, but rather what happens after that.

Also to everyone saying we got worse, no we didn't, we got slapped 1-4 against Watford. We are bad, but this is not the worst we have been this year.

What system are our players suited for !?
4-3-3 or 4-1-2-3 however you want to define it.

With the current players we have fit it should be:

De Gea
Wan-Bissaka Jones Varane Shaw
McTominay
Bruno Fred
Sancho Ronaldo Rashford

Somehow I feel Ragnick’s insistence on playing 4 2 2 2 is costing us. I mean why set up like this.
This team is better suited for 4 3 3 or 4 3 1 2

something like this

…..Ronaldo…………..Cavani…..
…………………..Bruno……………….
……mcT/VdB…………..Fred…….…..
……………………..Matic…………

or

Rashford/Sancho……………….Mason/Cavani
……………….Ronaldo/Bruno…………….

vdb………………mcT…………….Fred

He took over from Carrick and Mckenna, not Ole.

People already turning on the manager after 5 games yet some players have been shite for seasons
Get out. Its fecking obvious he is not the man. Its nothing logical behind his tactical decisions.

This is utter trash football
Well. Its 4222, designed for high press, in a team that is not suited for it. Anyone can see. Surely the professor knows about other formations and systems that are easy to play to get short term results with.

Gengen press my arse. Fecking LVG was more entertaining. I've had enough of this crap. Thank God he's only interim. No wonder he was stuck in the deep forests of Russia. If he was just a little good he would've been in Europe, not in the fecking tundras.

Really worried at this point, results have gone backwards we play worse and worse as games go by.

Every single team dominate us, we generate almost zero chances.

Besides being a little more solid at the back everything else has became worse.

I am not sure what you expect. We are a shite team and have been for nearly 10 years. Ole's management set us back for years too with his mostly crap signings and medieval age coaching. If someone is gonna sort this mess, it was always clear that it's not gonna be Rangnick who has barely even coached in the last 10 years.

I think most people only accepted it because it’s an interim appointment and they wanted to get away from Ole.

We seem to have hired an academic. Knows all the right things to do in terms of the theory but can’t implement them.

Early days, I hope I’m wrong, but this is what it appears to be so far.

I’d really like to see someone shake it up and make some significant changes to the starting 11.

The starting lineup is no different to Ole, all we’ve done is add Cavani into the attack and removed a midfielder which has made us look even more disjointed and imbalanced.

Why not give VdB a game, start Elanga, or play Greenwood as the no 9? It was great to see the change with Dalot initially but we’ve just gone back to hoping for the best with AWB, it’s ridiculous to keep playing the same way and expecting it to be any different

This disaster of this season excepted, I enjoyed watching us much more under Ole.

I see nothing to look forward to. We're shit as ever. Not even any signs for a style of play being implemented.

The damage was done years before RR came in. This is the result of sticking with a manager that was completely pretending to be one, for three years.
We need to stop this narrative. This is a team that finished 2nd and got to the Europa League final last season. There is no reason for a new manager not to get a better tune out of this lot. Carrick did in 3 games. What we’re witnessing under Rangnick is 2021/22 Ole-Ball.

Literally feck all has changed since we played under Ole. Yes, he hasn't been here for long but we should be seeing some sort of change. For example, Gerrard put his stamp on Villa straight away. Its not good enough!

Fell for the hype in the beginning, but seems like all he’s done is gone even more Brexit football than Ole.

Can’t see any change apart from 4-4-facking-2 and cross it to the big man.

Culture problem of bad attitudes and over paid averageness.

Let's give the coach time to weed the garden and get the correct hungry mentality in as well as a sensible pay structure back in place. Where we arnt paying Hendersona or Awb's £100k a week

I don't really see much of a difference between Ragnick and Solskjaer. The first game under him was decent. Then it was straight back to the same old shite. Get outclassed by most teams and hope one of our individuals score.

If only someone had told you, you could have adjusted expectations.
When you spend 95% of your time on a forum wumming, you should hardly be surprised when no one takes your serious opinions seriously, there's no way to differentiate.

Absolutely criminal we’ve hired him. Completely out of his depth. He’s done nothing but taken us backwards fast.

Cold personalities on the touch line lead for cold personalities on the field. We need a lively motivator.

Absolutely horrible football since he took over. Horrible.

Really weird. He’s not trusting the players to be play from the back anymore.

Obviously he’s gone direct now. Very direct. Long ball direct.

This fanbase…

It’s pretty clearly not the manager’s fault. This is a dead squad that needs to be purged. This season is lost. People are looking at the names rather than the reality. It’s a disjointed mess that perfectly reflects the state of the club over the last few years under Woodward.

This season should be about evaluating who is worth keeping and who isn’t for Ralf’s successor. Forget about what’s been invested in who, no one should be safe in this team.

What a joke of a team…no pressing, no control, no counterattack, … Burnley with supposedly more talent. As for the manager, inverted wingers with a very limited right back on one side, the second most immobile spine imaginable for the team. Terrible all around.

How long until we finally see the real Ralf football again? We are getting further away of top 4. Hopefully by the time the real Ralf football arrives, we can use it to win CL to qualify for CL next season.

I think the problem is that we got a manager who needs a lot of time to implement his ideas when what we really needed was a short term fix who could give us instant improvement, like Conte.

He's got a very generous reputation for his CV. I can kind of see what we're doing off the ball but there's no imagination in attack whatsoever.

If a manager with a more basic reputation played this style then I think more questions would have been asked already.
