I've skipped from page 1 to this page, so I've missed a lot of stuff in-between. But, assuming this information is true and the latest gossip/info/rumblings about our players being unhappy is also true, then our players are sounding like absolutely whingers. The whining is unbelievable. It just sounds to me like they are being made to work and they don't like it. If the performances on the pitch were great (or even good) then maybe they'd have a bit more sympathy from me. But, it's hard to feel sympathetic towards them. They're coming across as quite dislikeable and entitled.

What do you mean by the bold part?
I don't get that either.

I mean, it's not unreasonable to suspect there's something wrong, somewhere, in terms of player attitudes. I do get that.

But the idea that we have a bunch of complete deadbeats who don't like training hard, enjoy not winning anything, are happy to slack about picking up huge wages while posting crap on Instagram...no, I don't think it's that simple.

I wasn’t the one who mentioned 6 weeks initially. If you’re happy with progress that’s up to you. We aren’t going to change each other’s minds.
In no way have I said the progress is good, but for some reason you don’t seem to understand the manager has had barely any time to work with the players in any actual way. Just give it some time rather than setting yourself in stone that it’s looking like the future is dogshit.

Ralf is not interested in names, he likes his idea of football and will not accept much else. It will be a tough fight Ralf against players. Many players start realising that they could no longer fool us, now they start blaming the coach.

Ralf will not bring success this year, he will clear the path for the next manager. He wants his players motivated, focused and open minded. Who does not fit this bill, will leave the club!

Jurgen Klopp was a title winning manager. Rangnick isn’t. When you have pedigree you get more leeway. We also have a much better squad than Klopp inherited.
Let’s wait and see then.

I suspect that if we continue with this bunch of players, we’ll be no further on in 12 months.

IF we are allowed to see what RR can do, I’m certain we’ll move forward.

If this were true then it makes his team selections even more baffling tbh

Who knows maybe his hands are tied and he's been told certain players have to play and that's why things are going so wrong

But Ralf is only manager until end of the season.

We all know who the “certain player” is. To be fair to Ralf he’s been more willing than Ole to drop sacred cows like Bruno and Rashford.

I have no idea either, yet.

Ah it's a huge club with apparently massive issues, the bloke is just here, all the coaches left; I'd say his head is spinning. He seems like a smart guy, he'll get a handle on things.

It has got to the point now where I really couldn't give a shit if any of the squad were to leave.

Time for a proper banner at the Villa game??

Imagine a massive banner in the stadium saying 'You don't want to be here? feck off!' (In the words of Howson)

I'm not usually a fan of banners/planes etc but this would ring loud and clear in that dressing room that the fans are firmly looking at them rather than the man in the managers seat.

Some things take time, Ralf started with Oles teams and he will find his formation.
The problem is, Ralf is not the best coach, he is a great DoF. He is not the manager you should choose to save the season, the will start a clean out.

True but he still seems to select from the same core group. If Bruno and Rashford are benched then it's inevitably Sancho and Greenwood who come in. Granted he's only had 4 PL games so maybe the real eye opening team selections are to come but it seems strange to me that given how bad the performances have been we haven't seen the likes of Lingard, VDB or Elanga come in (or maybe they're just not doing it in training)

Which is what I think we're seeing and it's oppose to what we were all hoping :(

Best thing that could happen to this club is an exodus. Even if it meant finishing 6th-10th for a few years I’d take it.

I’ve made my feelings known about this current crop of shite we have, maybe apart from De gea who has served us well season after season I hate the rest of them.

He hasn’t been in charge long enough to drop Rashford/Bruno and their back-ups. I can’t imagine a scenario where any manager would bench all four of those players at once anyway. And if they ever need to then we’re in seriously deep shit!

The VDB one is confusing as he hasn't been given a chance. Martial/Lingard are leaving therefore Ralf doesn't want to give game time and tbf he has brought Elanga off the bench a couple times and hasn't really set the game alight. I just don't know what more he could change especially in attacking positions unless he drops Ronaldo.

Players I'd keep: Varane, Lindelöf, Sancho, Greenwood. Couldn't care less about any of the others.

Brilliant. Would love to see that.

The lack of sense of gratitude for the money they are earning is just amazing. Lingard could retire right now and not have to work for the rest of his life.

Either get out of the club or start fecking playing.

I hope the fans in the stadium next match get fully behind rangnick.

Yep, I let myself slip for a second in the immediate aftermath of the defeat and got very reactionary towards Rangnick, but it really is this set of players. Absolutely terrible, I can take not making CL next year if it means being able to watch a starting XI on the front foot at least looking like they are trying to dispatch teams.

I find that very hard to believe, tbh.

For one thing, I don't think he would've taken the job in the first place if there was anything of the sort in place (say, that Ronaldo is on a contract which guarantees him minutes).

As I've said before, for Murtough (a supposed RR admirer) to hire him in this double capacity (interim manager + long term consultant) makes absolutely no sense if his hands are tied.

I know there's journos lurking about on the CAF. So here's a tip for them:

Next time a 'source close to the Old Trafford dressing room' gets in touch with you to whine, show them this video. It's representative of a lot of fan opinion.

Patience with this squad is running seriously low. So those mollicuddled players may want to consider keeping their mouths shut for a bit. Cos if they keep crying in the media the fans are going to start kicking off.

It's very well put. I don't even care what level of manager Rangnick truly is - whether it's average, decent or very good. You can see on the pitch how shit the players are technically and how little work they put in. I'm not buying this insinuation they aren't coached anymore.

I fecking despise him. Not hard to work out who these players are as they’re the ones who threw Jose under the bus.

JLingz, AM9, And yes, Rashford.

I feel like we need to stop saying things like Van de Beek hasnt been given a chance.

Players earn their chances at Carrington. Just like any sow in an office job will have to do some slogging before they get picked to do a major presentation. Our players have to show the coaches at Carrington that they're up to it.

First Ole, now Ralf, go to Carrington and watch our squad train. They pick the team based on that. If Van de Beek isn't getting games it's likely because what he's doing in training isn't enough. Unless we're meant to believe Donny is the second coming of Nedved in training and two coaches in a row have chosen to ignore it.

Should have been sold long ago. I dont mind the players earning millions. But at least show some fecking effort. I back Rangnick all the way. Like you say they have already thrown two managers under the bus.
