At United, we strive for perfection, and if we fai
Ok.. the last time WestHam and Leeds went down, a lot of teams didnt really go for some of their promising players, with the exception of Spurs who did well with the purchases of Carrick, Lennon, Robinson, Defoe etc.... Looking at the table, the teams that are most likely to go down are

1) West Ham
2) Watford
3) Sheff Utd
4) Charlton

Which of their players do u think we could really buy to enhance our squad be it first-teamers or squad players ??

If someone could instil a bit of pride, passion and integrity in the West Ham players they might be useful...

Wrong forum?

I wouldn't mind Reo Coker or Ashley Young.

Why would we want Macsherano now? We allegidly turned him down in the summer and he's since proved he cant cut it in the PL!

The thread starter asked for who we would like to see in a United shirt amongst them. It's obvious we can't sign all or them. I was just listing targets.
I think some are Unietd quality whiel otehrs can be developed into that quality

The ones I would want however are Ferdinand, Mascherano, Young, Benayoun and Ashton/Bent. That would get us a Gazza replacement, A real hard man DM, a Giggs replacement, Ronaldo cover and a quality goal scorer of English descent.

Players I'd consider - Ferdinand, Reo-Coker, Young, Bent & Ashton.

Ferdinand and Evans as back up for Rio and Vidic would be perfect. We're sorted for left backs and Brown can be used as a right back. Ferdinand would obviously want the move as well.

There's still a good player in Reo-Coker although it may take a while to bring it out as he's confidence looks pretty smashed. If we get him playing like he was last season and make him abit more refined he could be a great long term partner for Carrick.

Young would be great cover for either wing, although it may depend on how Lee Martin develops.

Ashton and Bent would be excellent as cover for the strikers. Especially if they came on the cheap.

Not sure any would demand a first team spot straight away but they would all be very good squad players and all of them have a lot of potential.

Bent, not seen enough of Ashton. One of my favourite young strikers.

Ashley Young is very good and maybe Luke Young.

We could do worse in midfield than Reo-Coker but I would like someone else in midfield. I actually rate Hargreaves.

By Gazza replacement, do you mean Ferdinand?

If we signed him I'd prefer Brown out on the right and Ferdinand as cover for Rio and Vidic.

 yeah miles... sorry... but knew someone would come out with Rossi...

Ferdinand and Mascherano are not good enough for Utd... I'd take Reo Coker and maybe Bent/Ashton if we got them for feck all but dont think any of them are worth serious money!

I'd argue on Ferdinand, I can't really make a case for Mascherano at the moment.

As a squad player I think Ferdinand would be very good and would get loads of help from Rio.

First choice centre backs: Rio & Vidic.
Back up centre backs: Ferdinand & Evans.

Sounds very good to me, especially if we can get him for less than £5 million.

Honestly?

Ferdinand is a solid player who i would think would relish the opportunity to play for us. The rest of the West Ham lads are imo overrated, whoever put Tevez is a numpty, he hasn't scored yet!"£!

Ashley Young has impressed me. He's a solid enough option as a squad player, and could get alot better if given the opportunity.

Darren Bent would be welcome to join us. A young striker full of pace would compliment the rest of our strikers very well. He's also a bit more clinical than the strikers we have currently (ruling out Ole).

I'd like to give Lee Martin a chance yet though, unless Fergie clearly doesn't rate him. Same kind of player, young, fast, good on either wing, good delivery.

Either though would probably be the 4th choice winger to start with and take Richardson's position behind Ronaldo, Giggs and Park.

Why do you always forget Pique is still a United player or do you just not rate him?

Explain this. Reo-Coeker plays mostly shit this season in all his games for West Ham except the 1-0 over us and he is United quality according to you. While on the other hand Mascherano plays one game all season and he is not United quality? Are you sure about what you are saying? Bearing in mind you have had half a season to judge Reo-Coeker on games while Mascherano has not played any recent game for you to say he can't cut it in th EPL

I agree. However I feel we need both. Giggs and Ole will soon retire leaving us with 2 wingers. Park and Ronaldo. We need quality cover and Martin and Young would do for me....

Me personally?

I'm just not sure what is happening with Pique. There are rumours Zaragoza have an option to buy him. He's not getting regular games and I've been more impressed by Evans from what I've seen.
