Happy with win but certainly can't afford to give a team who are more ruthless that comfortable first half we did tonight

Between my constant river battles and our performance that was like a knuckle duster massage with a happy ending. Still haven't seen either goal.

Take the win, but there are some serious issues at this club.

Need some midfielders and we needed them yesterday. Mcfred isn't even championship level.

We scored twice. Yay! Once again too many shocking performances across the park though. Brighton were down to 10 men for the last 35 minutes and it didn't really show. Seriously concerned about Rashford. Don't know if he's carrying an injury but he looks totally disinterested and can't even get the basics right. Pogo had a good cameo.

As a result of pressing better from the minute the second half started. I'll take it - Brighton are a very good team that had some good momentum on their side. I reckon they will feck up at least one of Spurs and Arsenal soon too.
I agree, it definitely looked like something Ralf highlighted during HT and the team did in fact listen.

Important 3 points. Good news that our 2nd half was finally better, too bad the first sucked.

A reverse of the last few games in that our second half was actually an improvement over the first. Obviously helped by the red card here but to be fair we were already one up by that point.

Happy to see Ronaldo and Fernandes on scoresheet once again. Hopefully a sign they'll be back amongst the goals going forward a bit more now.

Still very wasteful with the chnaves we did eventually create again, which is frustrating. Two is an improvement but we could have had more.

We just need to score goals. That’s not even a huge ask with the huge amount of quality chances we create.
Not scoring means we shit ourselves defensively as the game goes on since conceding one means we aren’t winning the game. We need to relieve that by just scoring one of the two ins we consistently miss

So now we're back to slow start FC again. Can't wait for all the pundits and caf posters to moan and groan about it.

For all of the complaining, United actually played quite well and created lots of chances. Finishing needs working on.
Wow. No, we didn't. We played horribly, like it was a pre-season friendly, with zero intensity, and poor technique everywhere across the pitch. Even DeGea played a kick straight out to the opponents and created an attacking chance for them. We were very, very poor.

A win is a win. Brighton had way more of the ball then they should have had but we got through in the end and that's all that matters after the last few results. Glad to see Ronaldo and Bruno score, they need that confidence in front of goal. Sancho looks better every week, need Varane back, Pogba-Bruno-DM should be the only formation if every one is fit.

Some important barriers brought down tonight. Hopefully. Ronaldo and Bruno scoring. We scoring our second goal.

I think Rangnick can take a lot from this match. We will see more of Pogba and Telles in the starting line up, I believe.

Ronaldo looked sharper today. Not really in front of goal, but he still gets in great positions. But moreso in his overall performance.

I've finally lost all faith in the likes of Shaw and Rashford. They're just the least inspiring players to look at. They don't look like enjoying themselves and their performances show. It's too predictable and reactionary.

Second half river smooth though right?

thought Ronaldo had a great game second half. Was shocked when he squared it to Bruno though!

Bruno been out of sorts for a bit and you could even say he's been over trying.
But fair play i thought he put a big shift in the second half after such a lack lustre team first half showing.

A win’s a win and I’d take anything right now. Pleased to see Ronnie back on the score sheet. Not very convincing

A reality check needed for some in here

awful first half with only good chance created by Brighton mistake.

Poor start to second but another Brighton mistake led to our goal.

We started playing after the goal and created/missed some good opportunities

We still looked vulnerable. Hopefully this gives us a lift. Confidence the issue with this team

We were very poor but should have had 4 or 5.

Concerning how we struggled to keep ball vs 10.

Glad to see Ronaldo score again. That was a class finish.

Seriously worried about Rashford. That must have been his worst performance ever.

Brighton are a decent team and do well against the top 6. Two draws against Chelsea, one against Arsenal, one against Liverpool.

We weren't great but people are being too damming in their assessment.

Does anyone else notice that Shaw systematically fails to close down opposition prior to them putting a cross? He looks like he can’t be bothered in those situations, and it leads to a lot of dangerous situations.

Rashford…. If psg is stupid enough to buy him…. Sell…. Just sell….. u can’t keep losing ball at this level….or smash it blindly and hope it reaches someone….

mcT….. very limited…. Whenever he gets the ball or wins it, he never ever once look up to see forwards run…. Happens far too often

we obviously needs players…..
