Premier League Gameweek 28-30

Usually we concede 2 or less clear cut chances but concede at least once where we also only score once in 10-12 clear cut chances in the same fecking game. Unnecessary draws.

I don't hear Utd fans (you) admittedly we were statistically unlucky. Just shit/bottlers/etc. It's a two way street.
I mean we're the exact opposite recently showing what happens when you don't fall on the right side of variance. Actually getting the unnecessary draws you speak of.

When was this excessive number of draws supposed to have happened?
At some point they were like 8 points off city while performing pretty much at the exact same level

Knew the meaning of home advantage since my first game as a 4 year old man. And I’m also sure that this misconception of the partisan crowd at Anfield is what destroys a lot of away teams in the tunnel itself. Generally, after singing the anthem, the crowd has made as much noise as they did last season. And we all know what happened to your home results, especially from around December to March.
Our atmosphere lately has been pretty shocking even by declining modern standards. However European nights when there’s something on the line are pretty good still. The crowd is a very moments crowd, it gets going when it’s feeding off what’s happening in the game or momentum shifts.

A Liverpool fan admitting they've been statistically lucky.

We were pretty unlucky in the first half of the season as those chances against us got converted at a greater than average rate and we dropped points. This is an evening out. We should have conceded some more goals, but people are acting like we’d drop points or lose every single game we’ve played whilst ignoring that we’ve also missed some big chances.

Teams have an inferiority complex against them, they don’t go there believing they will get anything, hence numerous missed chances and fluffing their chances etc. Compare that with teams coming to OT where everyone is getting a result and those teams will take their chances. See where I’m coming from?
Yes . I suppose its not there fault if teams don't take there offerings.

Not really, it's just highlighting that your results could easily have been different in games like Palace, Burnley and West Ham where they have been pretty even on chances. Exaggerated when we're seeing the opposite happen to us.

You WUM. Take that sensible logic with you to a top European team's forum and stop wasting our time here. :p

Arsenal at full strength. Should be a comfortable win against Watford.

Only missing Smith-Rowe but Watford typically are without Sarr & King, however Dennis has shown something in recent games

I just noticed Arsenal have so many games in hand.

I'm torn whether I want Arsenal to win or lose now. If they win it might keep Utd motivated to get a result against City later. Or it might just demotivate Utd players into thinking what's the point?

If Arsenal lose, Utd players might be motivated to really pile the pressure on. Or they might relax against City thinking it's a game they can just about now afford to lose.

Tough one for Liverpool fans.

What was the worst defeat of the season for you? I think losing to Watford 4-1 was far worse than losing 0-5 to Liverpool. I know it spelt the end of Ole but losing to this shower of shite is unacceptable.

I mean regardless of if we win or lose, United need to get points to keep up top 4.

Spurs won't be far off it either, so not just us to worry about.

The fact everyone thinks we'll win worrys me a bit. I think Pepe will come off the bench to win it.

I think a win is probably the best result for all concerned. I think you'll win. You should be chasing Chelsea for 3rd with your games in hand regardless if they're tough or not.

The recent Burnley and Watford draws felt worse as they've basically ended our season. Two terrible sides.

I can easily see us dropping points today

I forgot we drew to them last week. 5 points dropped to fecking Watford. Feck me.

We do face two of them at home though, admittedly there is still a trip to Emirates too
I'd fancy our chances more away from home against them than at OT. We've already got a win at Spurs and drew to Chelsea.

That's how easy it should be against dross like Watford.

Your over thinking it.

Top 4 is there if Arsenal want it. I think they're the team most capable of getting decent results compared to ourselves, Spurs and maybe Wolves.
Structurally they just look more confident in themselves.

Arsenal being horrendous for the first part of the season has been the biggest blessing in disguise in years. Add to that the ridiculous favors the FA gave them with all those postponed games (when others with multiple COVID cases were forced to play). They can focus only on 1 competition for months and have their best XI fit and fresh every game.
