  • Several teams have contacted Jovic's camp about the player's plans and his fit into their plans.
    • The teams have yet to commence negotiations with Real Madrid.
  • Interested teams
    • Arsenal
    • Everton
    • AC Milan
    • Borussia Dortmund (Jovic is not a primary target)
  • Jovic's contract ends in 2025, making a sale difficult given that he was signed for €60M.
    • Real Madrid want to loan him out with a purchase option.
  • Jovic & Real Madrid are both in agreement that the player himself should leave in the summer.

Implying Marcus hasn’t? If so this narrative needs to die. Ralf has said Marcus trains very well and just need to build confidence to translate his training performances into the pitch in games.
The absolute pile-on towards one of our best homegrown players in a while and someone who has carried the club since his debut is bizarre and quite disconcerting.

His workrate on the pitch is poor, defensively and pressing - reflected in the stats as well. Not sure what games you're watching of his if you disagree with that. I don't really care how he trains if it doesn't transfer to the pitch.

Can you find these quotes for me? Because I’m pretty sure that was about Sancho.

Plus you’d have to be blind to suggest that Marcus Rashford has been putting the effort in on the pitch during games over the past season. Whether he’s carried the club in previously (he hasn’t and has masked poor all-round performances with good stats for quite a while now) should be irrelevant in 2022 if he’s 1) not kicked on from that and 2) doesn’t give a feck anymore for whatever reason, because he sure as hell isn’t carrying anyone if he continues playing like he is now.

I’m not slagging Marcus, but he clearly needs to get back to basics, up the on field work and get back to what got him in the team in the first place. He needs to translate his training ground performance to the pitch

According to our information, the trend is for Mauro Icardi to leave PSG. Everything would depend on the exit doors that will present themselves.
Summarised translation:

Both Icardi and PSG will need to make compromises in order for the player to leave (Icardi on his wages; PSG on the fee).

Rafa Yuste, vice president of Barcelona, in Catalunya Ràdio: "It is true that Dembélé is feeling more comfortable every day at Barcelona and I do not rule out that in the coming months we will meet again with his agents with the possibility that he will continue with us.”

  • Other candidates
    • Mauricio Pochettino
    • Julen Lopetegui
    • Luis Enrique
  • Tuchel no longer viable
  • Ten Hag leads the way with Pochettino's chances diminishing
  • United also need to talk to ten Hag's agent, Kees Vos
    • Kees Vos negotiated van Persie's transfer to United
  • United sources state that the process has a long way to go and that there's no clear favourite.

  • Milan's offer: 4 years, €3M after taxes
  • Origi's fine with the length but wants €4.5M after taxes.
  • Origi's preference is to join AC Milan, so the only thing to sort out is the salary.

Notice how they start by implying Ten Haag has it in the bag and finish by saying, not really.

It's quite clear they haven't got a fecking clue and they're just hedging their bets, so that, whatever happens, they can say "I told you so, you heard it here first".

Sports journalism is such a shoddy little affair.

A little more info (and for those who don't like the Daily Mail):

Since ten Hag still has 15 months left on his contract, United will likely have to pay €5M (£4.2M) in compensation to Ajax. This compensation is also mentioned in the Daily Mail, but they go with a looser estimate of £4M.

If you're referring to the bullet points that precede the article, you can blame the DM editors on that. They love to be sensational with those. The article itself, however, makes no mention of ten Hag being the favourite. If anything, it states the exact opposite by trying to assert that there's a long way to go in the process.
