But that's the point,

I would watch it, if it was worthy of the investment of time required, however, the quality of the product (not wrestling) is so poor from even 5 years ago.

Of course i will single out Vince, he runs every aspect of the show, no one else.

I've watched WWF & WCW since Wrestlemania 1989 and as a kid I rented out or bought all the old PPVs back then from Wrestlemania 1 onwards.

Today, the company makes crazy money whist providing a poor product and sacks so many talented people, because these guys have no clue how to use them.

NXT was the best thing they had, Vince destroyed it, because of his ego.

Vince is to blame for the good and the bad, why are you defending him so much?

That's the real question.
I haven't defended him, but unlike you I don't have an agenda so I'm able to comment on this impartially.

What is it you think you're gaining from your "scoops" and weak criticism in this thread? No one cares that you think Vince is "ruining" the product, nor do I think he or his investors give a shit that Choccy77 thinks WWE is bad when they're still making money hand over fist. Are you trying to incite some sort of boycott of the product? That isn't going to happen, no matter how many dirt sheet rumours you post.

What is the greatest irony is, you've admitted you don't watch WWE or AEW, so why would someone who doesn't watch it be so invested? Could it be you're painting a picture in your mind based on spoilers and community sentiment? That's the definition of confirmation bias.

But the basis of the comment you’re replying to is why you feel the need to tell everyone that something is shit. Why is there a perception that people need to be told what they can and can’t enjoy? If you don’t like it, that’s fine, you’ve switched off.. good for you.

I watch it a lot less than I did and a lot less than I ever have, but I don’t judge people who still watch it religiously.. because why would I?

The truth is also that you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, you believe what you’re told by ‘ITK’s’.. a lot of whom have been proven time and time again to be complete and utter bullshitters who are in on this anti-WWE agenda..

I don't understand why some of you label me Anti WWE...

It's been thrown around for ages now and it's the complete opposite.

I call out a poor product, and there is only one person to blame for that.

Everyone on this forum calls out United and the owners and the players, for being poor and that's fine.

Vince is the ONLY person responsible, so therefore, he is the person to blame for all the bad and he is also the person to congratulate for all the good, regardless of who made it happen.

It is all him.

That is all I have said from day 1.

I do watch bits now and then of both WWE and AEW and AEW is doing a lot more right, more old school which is what people, who are fans of wrestling want. ,

The two are very different beasts and ultimately, I have no real problem with either, but I will be drawn to the better product that is AEW right now.

WWE and United (for example) right now are run solely for what is happening today, getting as much money today as possible, regardless of tomorrow or the future.

Ultimately, it's bad business in the long term, as United is proving and other American Sports teams before.

That's why both are in bad shape today, (outside of making crazy money).

All I want, is both to focus on today, whilst making plans for the future, so it's sustainable and makes you want to come back again and again.

Both are lazy business models, run by Americans who see short term as the success, based upon the amount of money they get, no matter how much is destroyed or who they alienate in the process.

Anyhow, I respect all your views, just don't brand me as anti WWE or Anti Vince, I'm not, I'm just a fan, who wants a better product and calls them out for not providing one.

Enjoy Mania everyone.

Exactly this.

I watched first hour of Smackdown last night and it was terrible sadly, and that's usually the good show.

At one point the women were the best thing to watch, now I can happily not watch any of them from the story building point of view.

They should just forget storylines and just throw them in the ring and wrestle, because it's pretty much what they do now anyhow.

But if history has shown as anything, eventually, there will be a turn around again and a little boom period once more.

The IC triple threat definitely wasn't terrible.

Also Becky vs Bianca has had a very good build leading up to Mania? Definitely feels like a big match.

Two women, 1 match, it used to be they could build up all of them at the same time and every match was worth the investment.

They destroyed Bayley for no reason, Alexia also was over and they ruined that in so many ways.

Sasha was also way over as well and it seemed as soon as she went off to do Star Wars and deal with some personal stuff, they decided to push her under the rug as well.

WWE so much potential, hopefully it will come. AEW, promising and consistent so far.

All Debut Wrestling. Every week it's someone new.
yeah. un;less you are a complete weirdo of a wrestling fan, you should think it's great. Wrestlers have somewhere to go now and the product AEW is putting out is superb. I've been praying WWE would sort their shit out for years now, but they haven't unfortunately. I mean, Wrestlemania is this weekend and for the first time since 1995, i couldn't care less. Roman V Brock 17, this time over 2 belts. Yeah, great.

I agree WWE is mostly shit, and its mostly due to Vince and short term stuff. There is nothing long term to sink your teeth into.
Aew has faults too, but is much more enjoyable to watch.
Ive stopped watching Raw and SD. And NXT too after their champion lost his undefeated streak within 30 seconds of his Raw debut. I try watch highlights on youtube when i hear there are good things

And I also watch WWE PPvs as its mostly good wrestling.

Illbe watching Mania for sure and live.
Im excited about it despite about half the matches being total, meh.

NXT running a PPV just before 2 hours of Mania Kickoff show and 4 hours of Mania.

Kinda insane.

So Shane O Mac could be the swerve and Cody no shows?

Ronda v Charlotte match result spoilt already and why they moved it away from main event.

Gotta love WWE
It'll be such a laugh if thats what happens. At this point anything other than Cody showing up, being presented as a big star and getting a win over Seth moving forward as someone who could have a legit shot at winning the world title is going to seem like an anticlimax.

Its like if Punk didnt show up in AEW after the buildup and everyone expecting to see him

Will watch it tomorrow morning to see how they go with this.

I hope Austin ends up doing a match.

I saw interview he did last week and he talked about training and getting into ring shape, so would seem a lot of effort after 20 years, simply to cut a promo and issue a stunner.

Cant see there being much more due to Austin's health but would be great for Owens to get a 5 min match or something from it. Main event talk show doesnt sound right

I do think they’ll do something with Cody. I don’t think it’ll be as straightforward as Seth’s waiting and he comes out. Maybe it’s shane, Seth squashes him and then Cody comes out, I dunno.

See this kind of sums up why WWE is so frustrating.

With a bit more build (even just over a few weeks) that would actually have been a very decent filler match for the Wrestlemania card, offered something a bit different, and would have meant one of their main titles actually being on the card for their headline show.

Instead the IC title was used as a make weight in the build to some pointless celebrity feud and then gets dumped onto smackdown along with 3 pretty decent wrestlers.

Even after cutting half their roster WWE still wastes its own talent in favour of pushing pointless rubbish.

My guess is Cody will be Seth's opponent. Shane will show up elsewhere. Maybe in some capacity in McAfee's match.

To have Shane cone out to face Seth after all the Cody rumours and hints would be a terrible (hilarious) misreading even by WWE standards. Although at the same time I wouldn't exactly be shocked

I think he’ll be the opponent.. but I just expect them to try and be clever and do a fake swerve of some kind. I’m probably over thinking it

A bit of a casual fan these days but obviously can't miss mania. Can anyone tell me what is next for Ciampa? Just seen he has wrestled his last NXT match...

Is he leaving WWE or just heading to the main roster (to be wasted in the midcard wasteland)?

I don’t get this hype to the Stone Cold thing. It’s not a match right? They are saying it’s the first time they are gonna see Stone Cold in the last 19 years when surely we are gonna get nothing more than a bit of trash talking and a handful of stunners (the sort of thing that has been happening for bloody years)?
