Im sure I will get hammered by our liberal anti Ronaldo fanbase but that bruising on his hand looks the way bruises appear when they are about 3 days old.
Strange that there is not even the slightest of swelling either.
What's strange is thinking that condemnation of slapping another person's child and damaging their phone is somehow representative of political affiliation.

Let's hope he gets an iPhone.
Please accept this little gift from me. This is an iPhone. And try not to get too close to me in whichever games you attend, at least not with the phone.

Love,
Ronaldo the phone destroyer

Seeing some people on here defend Ronaldo here is fecking yikes. Some people are untouchable.

It is literally assault. Nobody is saying he should go to jail. But he hit the kids hand and broke his phone. Of course he should get punished/fined, not just "buy him a new phone" (which he didn't even offer to do which is hilarious).

Does everything have to be a conspiracy theory ffs? He smashes this kids hand, the phone breaks, and his hand is definitely swollen because the way he slapped it. There's nothing "weird" about it. A professional athlete hit this kid and there you go.

This normalisation by supporters of behaviour that wouldn’t be remotely acceptable in any other profession or walk of life is weird. Sure, it’s not the end of the world, but poor behaviour isn’t binary. It’s still worse than not slapping the hand of a 14 year old for no apparent reason and breaking his property.

Imagine the postman doing that to your child as he passed by to drop in some letters. You’d rightly think he was a lunatic.

It's an upgrade!
Nah. I think the kid would prefer his soul.

Also, it was a child? I didn't know that.

The way that Ronaldo storms off with a petted lip, after every defeat, is really annoying me. This is no way for a senior player to act.

As far as the phone thing goes. Is the Kid's hand swollen? I hope the parents sue. Just because your name is Ronaldo and you used to be good at football, doesn't meant you can destroy a fan's property and cause physical harm.

What if the postman was a really sensitive lover? You have to take all facets into consideration.

Correct. From kicking cats to slapping kids, some people will do their best to justify and defend almost anything footballers do. That sort of shit happens in a normal place of work and its immediate disciplinary action. It doesn't make them evil or as vile as Jimmy Saville, but it's still not acceptable behaviour and they'll rightly get criticised for it

Yeah I agree 1000%. Huge Ronnie fan but thats just poor, shouldn’t be doing that even in the heat of the moment, he’s 37 not 17.

Cantona was banned for nine months for assaulting a fan in the stands and he didn’t leave a bruise on an autistic kid.

Not true. If I were to open my window on a cold winter's morn and tell my postman in no uncertain terms that I think he's a fecking idiot and inform him that he's awful at his job and then sent my kid down to take a video of him delivering the Domino's pizza voucher then I wouldn't be completely shocked to see something like this happen.

Thankfully it won't ever come to it as my postman is a top top lad.

It was a joke :)

I´d rather meant if Ronaldo had traveled to the lads home to make peace yet, which I think would be a classy move by him, if the family approved it!
It wasn’t a joke.. you’ve been going on about forensic evidence earlier amongst other nonsense.

if you meant the latter why not say it?

If I ever needed a defense lawyer I think I'd rather hire my coffee table than some of you lot.

- A 14 year old is not a child.
- Next time it could be a knife.
- It's great to see our players showing that they care.
- Anyone concerned about this is woke.

Im sure he gets them a new phone wirhout sueing dont you think?
You'd think so. But you'd also think he would be too smart to do it in the first place so you never. My point is that like @Brophs said, if it was any other 37 year old doing it to a random kid it would be totally unacceptable and nobody would be mitigating or defending it.

If it could be a knife, then it could easily be a gun. With that in mind we should focus on how casual our other players were while just waking past this lunatic non-child.

Edit - did it really take this to convince you that the caf posters are not top legal minds?

Is this bit actually true, or have you just added your own exaggeration in?

No I've been very well aware of it for a long time, just wanted to emphasize how shit those arguments were.
