Those last couple of minutes were a tough watch.

Annoyed that Sheff United and Huddersfield won with late late goals.
I find it utterly bonkers how Sheffield United got a proven promotion manager in Jokanovic and were dreadful, sack him and promote Heckingbottom who's a dreadful manager and now they're flying towards the play offs. And Huddersfield are doing a United specialty in never actually playing well but somehow keep getting results. But hey, that's the championship in a nutshell.

Huddersfield are on an absolutely mad run. Forgotten how to lose it seems.

Crazy they're in the position they're in with the squad they have. Even the most positive Town fans I know had them at mid-table highest for the season.

Yeah I was hoping for another solid mid-table with anything in the top 10 a huge win for us. But now we're dreaming and it's frustrating how many silly points we dropped (like drawing after going 3-0 up against Swansea at home). I still don't think we'll make playoffs and if we did, can't see us beating someone like QPR but it's fun to imagine the story if we do somehow make it.

Tbf, their whole team was built on playing a certain way that Wilder implemented and Jokanovic basically said feck that and tried to play his way (which works at that level obviously, but he didn't have the players for it), probably would have worked better for him if he was backed more but in the end he wasn't so it was never going to end well. Heckingbottom's reverted to a variation of the Wilder way again and the difference is night and day.

Yeah i know Jokanovic moved away from 3 at the back but from i'd read from Sheffield United fans when he was sacked they were pissed he wasn't completely backed. And in the Championship he's certainly someone you either back completely or don't hire him. But they don't really have anything to complain about with Heckingbottom right now as he's doing very well, although i think he's on a 4 year deal which is insane.

The highlights show for the Football League is gonna be back on ITV from next season so now i have the excuse to post the old intro.
That right there is childhood nostalgia at its finest for me.

After a run of poor performances, results and failing to score, a much needed win against QPR yesterday.

We should have won more comfortably, but will take any sort of win.

I was never expecting us to finish in the top 2, but I’ll be disappointed if we fail to reach the playoffs for the first time since our Premier League relegation a decade ago.

You guys are one of our main rivals for those spots so safe to say I we both make it!

After this weekend it looks like Fulham and Bournemouth are almost certain to be back. Play-offs are an absolute bun fight, but with their history be good to see Luton doing it considering their time in the 1980's and then being in the Conference as recently as 2014.

You guys going up would be a wonderful storyline !

Our continued failure to finish in the top 6 over the years despite usually having among the best strikers in the division (in one season we had 2 of the top 5 goal-scorers), has been very frustrating !

Always had a soft spot for Luton. Maybe it brings back great childhood memories from the 80s and their plastic pitch. They always use to give the scousers a hard time :)

I hadn't checked the table for a couple of weeks but what the hell happened to Stoke? They looked good for potentially a play off spot earlier this season but seem to have completely fallen away.

You think Prem reffing is bad, WBA just got a pen for absolutely nothing... Genuinely one of the worst decisions I've ever seen at a professional level.

About to feint mate
Do you think you can catch Bournemouth? Unfortunately i think they're going to take second but your focus should be securing play offs anyway.

Isn't it considered sacrilege to support two teams on here, do you have to constantly wear garlic to keep the top reds away? Fortunately i keep mine on the down low, that and they're too shite to talk about.

Nah, Bournemouth have a 6 point lead with like 2-3 games in hand and are a good team. They're definitely getting second. Our best shot is to cling on to playoffs. Hope Ade stays fit and anything can happen.

I was a fan of United growing up. Keane and Big Pete were my favourite players. But that's exactly what I was... A fan. I only went to a handful of games per year because I live just outside London.

I'm a supporter of Luton. Key word being supporter. I grew up there and live only 30 minutes away so can actually go games, buy merch etc. Actually support the club.

I think most people are ok as long as you don't have a affinity to two rival clubs (say someone who supports United and then Liverpool at the same time  ).

People are forgiving if you're supporting your local club.

Who do you support?

Yeah Bournemouth are too good to screw up, but wouldn't surprise me since i don't rate Parker at all.

There's nothing wrong with supporting 2 sides especially a local side if you didn't grow up in Manchester, the club wouldn't be as big as it is if it only had fans in Manchester. But unfortunately a few seem to think differently.

My other team is Colchester, born and grew up there, we were in the Championship from 06/07 to 07/08 so i feel like i can discuss that here  But where you've gone from the National League to Championship in a few years, we're doing the complete opposite. We probably won't go down this year but at some point we will.

For regular watchers of the Championship - how highly do you rank the job Steve Cooper is doing at Forest?

QF's of the FA Cup is a good achievement itself but they're also doing well in the league, much better than usual for them (I think).

Really hope Forest come up, think they've shown enough in cup run to show they could hold their own for 3/4s of the season like Brentford have. Also haven't been in top division since 1999.

Luton would be incredible story aswell, shows how certain managers can fit clubs sometimes considering Nathan Jones was a disaster at Stoke.

Huddersfield up again would be very boring.

Blackburn for first time in a decade would be interesting aswell but they badly need to get Brereton fit as goals dried up big time since his injury.

I have a massive soft spot for Forest but Luton is the best story. Literally could call their story 'there and back again'.

Forest a couple of years ago were in the playoffs and fecked it in the last game where they let something like a 10 goal deficit slip in the last minute of the match. It's like they were possessed by the ghost of Spurs. That must have mentally fecked them up but they seem to be getting over it now.

But I gotta stick with my boys Luton. Not only the story of coming back from the wilderness but also I've of the lowest budgets in the top two divisions, massively punching above our weight through sheer hard work and determination.

Don't think we would do too well in PL though.

If you come up though, the money is transformative. The parachute payments make a real difference when trying to come back if/when relegated.

I know. And our manager/board are good at recruitment so I think we can create a solid team.

Just need QPR to stay out of the play offs as we can never seem to beat them no matter how good we play.

Looks a real player, very good on the ball from what I've seen.

Forest looking like a sure bet for the playoffs, and I'd have them as favourites against any of the other sides around them. Their style of play matches up well against most teams. Be great to see them in the PL.

Harsh pen that, against Forest. Also looked like the attacker handball it as well. Impossible for Colback to react to that.

Yeah that is true. But we NEEDED that win

Forest will be fine, they have like two games in hand and are my favourite to win the playoffs.

Liverpool have another bargain in this Carvalho then. Unreal how they keep picking up these talents on the cheap

I don’t think he’s a dead cert at all. Surprised he’s made that move now, I know it’s hard to turn down a big club but he’d have been a definite starter in the Premier League next year.
