If I were you I’d get my pitchfork sharpened, it’s much easier to hound the manager than accept you’re wrong
I was not wrong on Solskajer nor Maguire nor Rashford.

The amount of times people like you have tried your wishful predictions and have come out looking silly and yet still I get constant messages like this.

Maguire is an embarrassment, a man child in an adult's body with the former mentality.

    Feck me

    Awful, awful starting 11

To think this squad is one of the most expensive in Europe…what a complete mess. Embarrassing that.

I get the slow on the counters thing about Sancho, but he looks far more likely to make things happen than Rashford.
Yeah, I would have gone with Sancho over Rashford too. Maybe Rangnick's hoping Rashford will be extra motivated tonight due him being a local lad and we're up against our biggest rivals. He's also got a good record against the scousers.

What a fecking mess . I'll happily eat my words but this looks like it'll be a painful one.

Can you blame him? Whatever he does he’s laughed at, he’s become a meme this year and whatever he does, even if it’s not his fault he’ll get the blame.

Feck, even the look of his face gets laughs. Like it probably just a normal look and he’s getting psychoanalysed. He’s got some mental fortitude if he isn’t affected mentally by the way our supposed fans treat him.

    Disgusting behaviour.
    Agreed.

I was feeling nervous about this game anyway, thought I'd pop on the thread to see a bit of positivity, fair to say I feel worse!

It’s not likely we win for very obvious reasons, but I’ll be proud if we show some fight.

0.5% chance we winning (or even scoring)
    1% chance we drawing
    49% chance it'll be 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 Liverpool
    49.5% chance it'll be 4-0+ Liverpool

Ironic that anybody can make a comment like this and call somebody else a man child. Introspection not a strong point I guess.

Klopp watching United warm up on the halfway line. They don't even know what they're gonna do themselves, Jürgen, no point trying to overthink this one.

Honestly, what's a good result here? I think a 2-0 loss is the best we can hope for.

Jones is one thing, I think he can actually do a job.

But Matic and Pogba have been tried already and they are just way too slow.

    Not a great lineup.

    3-1 win to the boys

I'm one of the few that don't think Ralf is as bad a manager as made out and we certainly needed something different but ohhh my lord that team.

Judging by the way he has played this year it has clearly affected him. I don't like him, on a personal level, as a defender and as a captain, but I don't like seeing the way he's been treated. But more so than anyone he has the power to change that. Step the feck up as a captain, act like one, motivate your team mates, drive them forward on the pitch, protect them when they get booed by your own fans, etc, etc Up your game, this one is probably the biggest challenge for him because he's just limited, he doesn't have much to work with, but stop your sweeper dream bullshit and mark your man, win some headers in the box and don't get caught playing with the ball at the back, he seems to create these pressure situations out of nowhere. And take off those fecking pink boots.

Indeed. I don't rate myself because I'm the teacher's pet. You know, like our failure of a captain.

I don't expect a win tonight, but the effort tonight will tell me everything (or reaffirm everything I already believe) about the players and their character. I've seen this before in other sports, that after a personal tragedy, the players unite and put in 100% effort and fight for one another. Sadly, I'm not confident that the players are going to give it their all tonight. I would drop anyone for the rest of the season if they can't be bothered to give it their all tonight considering how they are a.) playing Liverpool and b.) Ronaldo's personal tragedy.

That's a forfeit lineup if I've ever seen one

We're going to get absolutely lambasted. We won't have a sniff at goal and they're going to tear that back line apart.

    3-0 to them

Really happy with Jones playing, think we really needed this with that weak midfield. A big chance for Rashford here to win us over.

Playing a back five no problem there but why Jones over Bailly? If Mctominay is fit for the bench surely he should be fit to start.

Keeping the scoreline respectable and at least making Liverpool work hard for their win is all i ask.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
To be fair, we have 8 players out that at the beginning of the season we would have been expecting to be starting a lot of games.

Shaw, Varane, Fred, McTominay, Ronaldo, Cavani, Greenwood and Martial.

We're not just playing terribly, we're also down a lot of players.
