Do either of Mwepu or Caicedo know how to pass a ball? Constantly inviting pressure by passing it straight back to City.

Very weird game. Quite an experimental Chelsea team which has made us rather open. Flat atmosphere too, doesn't feel like a London derby.

I’m generally an Arteta fan, but he winds me up when he goes all galaxy brain. It’s one thing playing players out of position. It’s another thing breaking up partnerships to do so.

The goals have come down our right hand side because we’re playing our backup CB in order to accommodate our first choice CB playing as RB - despite having a RB on the bench who made Portugal’s last national team squad.

Why?
Yep, poor decision tonight. I often laugh at our fellow fans when they say players like Neves or Bissouma aren't good enough for where we want to be, yet we've went into the last few games with a raw Sambi Lokonga or a very limited Mo Elneny playing. :houllier:

Think it's because initially Arteta wanted to match our wingbacks, but Saka's positioning was a bit all over the place from the off - so once you went 1-0 up Saka has stayed high to try to pin Alonso deeper. It's sort of worked insofar as Alonso hasn't been influential in the opposition box (i.e. the only place on a football pitch where he can be effective), but it has exposed White. Guessing Cedric might be on for Holding at halftime?

The difference in ruthlessness between ourselves and Liverpool is vast. 3 to 4 times Mahrez managed to mess up where Liverpool would have put this one to bed.

Is Potter the best manager of a lesser team that can organise a team and make them difficult to beat against the top teams away from home but still play good football?

This is gonna be an agonazing second half if Brighton keeps it 0-0 for a while. It’s the hope that kills you I guess.

Arsenal match their effort and intensity on Saturday against United they'll get an easy 3 points.

Liverpool for me will win their remaining games so just need City to slip up once to claim the title. City on course to slipping up at home to Brighton..

That’s the worst defending I’ve ever seen. That doesn’t happen with Rudiger in the team.
