This make me sad, we may have actually had a chance if our form didn't completely drop when Ralf came in(I don't blame him).
The quality in Europe is just shit , we could have pulled something out if we could have shithoused our way to a win against either city or pool.
 we stood no chance. Liverpool dropped a 9-0 on aggregate against us this season and Man City did a 6-1

Was thinking exactly that. Casemiro is a beast.
Both their goals were a direct result of his absence. On the first, Valverde misteriously decided to step up instead of picking up De Bruyne's run. On the second you have Kroos pathetic attempt at stopping the cross....

You mean the two teams we lost against very meekly before Ralf came in.

I thought the analysts who had not given Real a hope were being too dismissive. Real have the Champions League pedigree. But City are steamrollering Real suffocating them with pressing. You see this and realise how far behind we are.

Real only look dangerous when City feck around with it at the back.

I wonder if Ederson’s distribution is holding city back

Just knew Chelsea would’ve been the better match up for these over two legs. Waste of time Real.
Would have fancied our chances without Lukaku playing and the mental edge of already having European Cups in the cabinet (that was a big player in our ties in the 00s in my opinion).

The absolute wanking over Alaba on here was always bizarre. Never ever worth the money.
As a Bayern fan it's also the same on the other side.
Every mistake of Upamecano or Hernandez leads to several experts stating "well they are not as good as Alaba and Boateng".

We conceded quite some goals less than last year and Boateng is not even a regular starter for Lyon but what can you say...

City and Liverpool are different level to the rest of the clubs in the world.

Not even a contest

Chelsea are arguably the next best. Prem football definitely in its period of being the best in the world

The problem is that's just when our form had dropped and players had downed tools, we were still pretty average but we did show some defensive stability under Carrick, so that's what I mean by shithousing it.

Madrid need Camavinga on for Kroos asap. They look better every time they make that change

Say an English team win the Champions League again, it is likely the Ballon D'Or winner will still not be from an English club. If Real.won the CL, odds on Benzama would get the Ballon D'Or
