He really doesn't take the piss and he's a Utd fan like us.

People need to grow up and realise this PR stuff is all fake and just part of living in 2022 I'm afraid. I don't like it either but it's the social media age. He probably doesn't even post most of it himself either.

Rashford under a top coach would be playing so much better than this.
May be. But that doesn't allow him to put zero effort on field when he is on huge salary. He is literally a ghost on pitch. Maybe he will play great under ten hag for first couple of matches, will get a new contract then stop putting efforts again.

When a legend who’s been the main man up top for far longer than you have been playing first team football has to come back and cover for you, you’re done. What has Rashford got on Ronaldo? He’s not even matched Mbappe’s level of achievements, much less CR7’s.

If he thinks he can sulk through a match with minimal effort time and time again, he deserves to be out the door. Pronto.

In the days, Sir Alex would no doubt have shipped him out, if he’s not fighting for the team and has his head too far up the behind.

Its disgraceful to me how the media doesn't even mentioned him.

They'll blame Cristiano, they'll blame Bruno, They'll even Pogba but Rashford ? bloody silence and no criticism at all.
He's media darling, checks all the boxes, why would they?

Remember when I said his bottom level was championship quality... beginning to look generous.

Everyone round me in the stadium was moaning about Telles struggling with James but not saying anything about this goon still stuck on the half way line when he's supposed to be left wing.

He's getting too much of a free pass from some.
He is looking older as well!

Love to see people finally seeing what I’ve been saying for 5 years. We’ve relied on a bottom half striker/winger to carry the team and pretend to be shocked we have won nothing

He’s not really performing any lower to what he always has. He’s just always hidden his poor footballing ability by receiving the ball and passing it back at every opportunity.

He’s been exposed by Ralf who’s asking him to produce like Sancho. Ole coddled him

No coincidence that we looked better when Elanga moved over to the left in the second half as he actually tracked back.
It is just looking really bad the way he walks around the pitch these days and by comparison he makes Martial look like a workhorse!

Marcus was a threat his first couple of years and then had a decent to good scoring record until the 2nd half of last season.

Unfortunately, his decision making hasn't improved, his shoot first pass second mentality doesn't jive well with a primary scorer like Ronaldo, and now his effort is amongst the worst which wasn't the case his first few years. He's also lost a significant amount of passion and pride when he plays. He complains and pouts about the pitch. It's unacceptable.

Working hard should be the minimum criteria for any player, if player isn't doing that, they should be gone. Hope he regains his form under ETH, at this point I don't have any hope on him. It's been 18 months and he is regressing.

At this point it’s just sad seeing Rashford play for us. He looks like he’s fell out of love with either the club or the game. No excuses for him, this is not acceptable and his performances are amongst the very worst I’ve witnessed throughout the season….but I find it sad.

We know why that is though.

“Sources close to the club reveal Rashford regularly gets in for training at 3am and is the last one to leave just after midnight. The anonymous source also went on record as saying ‘beanz’”

Journalists have no incentive to piss off their inside men

He's butthurt because his mates Lingard and Pogba are about to feck off.

Also he never built on solid fondation after bursting onto the scene.

The sooner he's out the better for everyone involved.

I think he caught him but couldn't make a tackle from behind.

In Rashford and Elanga we probably had the two quickest players on the pitch but I don't remember either attempting to do a man for pace. This is a regular thing. Fergie always used to talk about expressing yourself.

If you've got crazy pace and never attempt to beat a man are you expressing yourself?

As good a player as Reece James is I'm not sure he's the quickest or most agile when it comes to running back. But we didn't test him once.
Rashford isn’t fast any more.
And given that was his main attribute he is pretty much useless now

That's because he's a media darling who feeds poor kids and has a PR team to leak things to journalists for him in exchange for immunity to bad press.

Given his golden boy status in England and the fact he's an academy player Ten Hag has no choice but to try and fix him but what a task that is going to be, he seems to have lost his 2 biggest assets which were his explosiveness and workrate.

He's a disgrace and I want him sold. I think it's disgrace a player can blatantly refuse to do his job and have the cheek to ask for a contract. An embarrassment of a player. Doesn't speak well of him or those atround him.

Not really, he has already lost his position in England squad. Don't think there will be any pressure on ETH to use Rashford. Even Rangnick benched him for almost all games.

He's not even doing the basics at this stage. It's not like he just needs that new coach to unlock that final 10% of potential.

Weird take.

He'll try and 'fix' him because why wouldn't he? I doubt that Ten Hag is as emotional and dramatic as most fans on here seem to be, he wouldn't have got anywhere in management if he was. Ten Hag won't be looking for some sort of revenge for poor performances in the past. He'll be trying to get the best out of all his players like any normal person would.

I can only think that maybe he hasn't truly recovered from that bad back injury and he's playing in pain.

He always used to put a shift in for us. Maybe he's in denial and the injury is worse than we all know? RVP said he had a similar injury and wasnt the same player for 2-3 yrs.

Wasn't neville moaning and groaning whilst calling out rangnick for benching rashford few days back ?
He was moaning about playing Bruno as a 9 when you have rashford. He calls it like he sees it.

How is it a weird take? He's been dross for 18 months and it's not just poor form, his attitude and lack of effort have been atrocious, if Rashford didn't have the status he has he'd be gone like Lukaku and Ten Hag wouldn't be saddled with him.

Are you really tying yourself in a knot for a guy that quite plainly and obviously just isn't putting a shift in?

Lukaku left because he wanted to leave and there was a credible offer for him. Nothing to do with your imaginary status.

Have you ever considered that Ten Hag might actually want to work with a 24 year old player that has lost his way a bit and bring him back to his best? From a purely pragmatic point of view at least it's a much better idea than adding him to the scrap heap and long list of players that we need to spend big money on to replace.

Loads of players go through peaks and troughs of form. It's the norm rather than the exception. Fans are reactionary and generally hysterical. Managers live in the real world. Ten Hag's Ajax have signed flops from the Premier League and brought them back to a good level. Why can't Ten Hag do that with Rashford? It happens all the time in football.

Think it's as simple as him losing pace and not being a good enough footballer to make up for it. Looks like that back injury ultimately fecked him and he's just given up now.

 Rashford could stand in the centre circle for the whole match and you’ll look for a reason to excuse him. And you call other people can boys.
I hope when he gets thrown out of the club he takes his stans with him (or whatever nonsense you would be saying if he wasn’t a homegrown British lad)

Could be, could also be he is jealous and frustrated that his mate Sancho is on more money, and he is not Manc born and bred, one of our own. And he plays on the left!!!!! It is treason, I tell ya.

He doesn't play like someone who is jealous. When someone is jealous, they will try and show why they need to be chosen.

Rashford getting worse every minute he is on the pitch.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Yes, I thought that was interesting. It's the first time I've heard Neville starting to really put the spotlight on Rashford. Considering he normally sucks up to him (who can forget a month ago where he spent all game bitching about him not starting games), this was a big step for him.

Unfortunately Neville will probably get a call about not picking on poor Rashford, and he'll be back to sucking up to him next match.

Rashford's game last night according to whoscored

Goals; 0
Assists: 0
Key Passes: 0
Dribbles: 0
Fouled: 1
Offside: 0
Dispossessed: 2
UnsTouches (aka bad control): 5

Think Mata should have been let go years ago, but I'd rather watch him instead of Rashford, literally couldn't be any worse.

I've watched most of our games over the past 2-3 months at the stadium.

He actually put in some effort today in comparison to recent weeks, shame his performances were so poor. The bar is low here!

I'm better than Messi (even though I'm not)
I’m glad he’s still getting minutes and starts, every game that goes by he’s putting a nail in his own coffin. Ten Hag is watching and he won’t be impressed at all, probably can’t believe the lack of professionalism and effort of the kid.

Doesn't really explain why his first touch sucks and he struggles with 5 yard passes too. This was the case when he was freshly returned and supposedly eager to crack on.
