James Wade and double 10. Name a better combination.
Wade just hangs in there but his doubles are astounding. Always seems to be a good 10pts down on the averages but his doubles really keep him in games.

Never used to like him but the guy is such a grinder.

Yeah same, the master of being behind in averages but inexplicably ahead

Shocked to see that commentator Nigel Pearson died yesterday, aged just 52.

I've only really got into watching darts regularly in the last couple of years but he was fantastic in his role at covering speedway and also did radio work for Talksport.

RIP

Feck. I remember this first few shows when he didn’t have a clue. Barney was on 80 something and he said it’s unlikely that he’ll take it out!

People whistling while 1 player is throwing for the leg is such a turn off for the neutral spectator.

Has this always been the case or is it getting worse recently?

Couldn't believe it really. Don't fancy him in Dublin next week either.
Interesting the top 4 all play each other, so a chance for one of the chasing pack to get back in the mix. Price probably has to pick up a 5 points or that's it for him.

Will be very interesting and hard to call. Not sure Price will make it, but never know with Cullen either.
I feel for Smith though, guy plays some great darts but just can't get a break.

Wade is some scoring form, missed the match but averaged over 114 beating Price (seems to have his number in this premier league)

Just watched the highlights. He was amazing all night with some classy 141, 140, 118 etc checkouts often at big moments, not to mention his customary two dart 88 and the like finishes.
He's been playing as well as he ever has for a couple of months now. Seems in a good place.

Watching the Darts tonight and it got me thinking listening to the crowd again...
Snooker, Pool and it's various forms of it all have very quiet audiences during play actions, where as darts the crowd are allowed to scream and shout at any point. One would think the pressure to make a dart shot would require a similar amount of focus as in those other sports.

Wonder who decided, we don't cheer and scream in snooker/pool but in darts it's fine.
