Man City and Liverpool are both distasteful anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing the bitterness and the collective inferiority complex of the Man City fans.

It just feels like everything is conspiring for them to win no matter what

One thing is certain. Gerrard will make City earn it. It’s one thing for Liverpool to win the quadruple but to do it with this script… ugh.

Not seeing the optimism for this. If City had been beaten by West Ham then it would be absolutely worrying. All City have to do is beat Villa in front of their own fans and they have won it. Yes Gerrard will have them fired up but the gulf in class between the two teams is huge.

Reminds me of when we snatched a draw against Blackburn in 2008. It still put the race in our hands even though it was two points dropped.

If Liverpool beat Southampton and win the CL, but lose the league, will they be the team to have gotten closest to a quadruple?

Still doesn't mean they are the best team ever. United 08 and arsenal's invincible would kill that Liverpool team. PL is just weaker these years. Oh well. Congrats Liverpool. Ya jammy feckers.

It would put them up there with the mental fortitude of those teams.

No other teams have equalled those records for a good reason, because they require that extra something beyond mere skill.

You're already the closest i think. Chelsea in 06-07 lost two cups very late , and United 09 lost the FA cup semi final to David fecking Moyes in 09

As Man United fans we all know how damaging draws away to West ham in a title race can be.

Yesterday Liverpool win trophy thanks to penalties again and today a major boost with a missed City penalty. Quadruple written in the stars for them?

Good for us. Liverpool cannot relax in last two games. They have to use more energy.

I just don't see it happening. They will go out and blitz Villa because they're fighting for a trophy in front of their own fans (all two thousand of them ;) ).

Seriously if Pep is this one of a kind, managerial legend and he can't win this it will be the biggest feck up of all time. A defeat or draw ain't happening. City will win the league with ease.

Yes you win the "closest to a quadruple without winning it" trophy. Take that on the parade too.

In the event Liverpool fail to win the title:

Having been in charge for the better part of a decade and claiming only a single league title in that time, is it fair to call Klopp a massive failure after all the money he has spent building the squad?

I think yes, it's very fair.

Also, is it time to consider sacking him for multiple failures?

could also be good for pool as they keep the concentration level up. can remember times when united was in those situations and i was normally happy with it, when it was all to play for. nevertheless think real will win it thanks to benzema

I mean they have to beat a pretty poor Villa team at home. If they don’t win that it’s one of the biggest chokes in PL history.

Yes. Absolutely.
