I was bored, so I got the Platinum trophy in Spiderman. What made me do it was that you could play on easy and get the rest of the trophies I was missing.

Now, looking forward to playing Miles Morales, hopefully soon

I'm excited about what could happen but I hope they're actually the games I want to replay. Apparently these 5 have been leaked:

  • Tekken 2 – PS1
  • Mr Driller – PS1
  • Worms World Party – PS1
  • Worms Armageddon – PS1
  • Ridge Racers 2 – PSP
Tekken 2 is really all that takes my fancy there but i'm sure there'll be lots of classics revealed eventually.
Yeah, not a great bunch there. I like Ridge Racer, but the best Ridge Racer game is the one for the PSP. So hopefully they'll have that one. I'm just surprised they haven't already announced them. It's the only way to determine how valuable this service is.

The 'classics' section i was looking forward to looks absolutely dismal so far. Very disappointing :(

That classic games catalog list is not great. Perhaps that's not all of it, but if it is, then they haven't really done a good job. To be fair, I had zero confidence in this service anyway, so can't say I'm surprised.

It isn't all of them.
Makes sense. That's what I was thinking/hoping when I was reading it. Not sure why they haven't revealed them all. Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is nice to have on the extra tier though. Havent' played them yet.

I think extra is the way to go for me. I'll have to wait to see how the premium tite pans out.

Ubisoft are shite and that all looks crap.

Gaming has really gone downhill the last few years.

Danger of people's eyes glazing over if they reveal all games at once when they need to get the messaging across of what each tier consists of. PS Now had over 800 games but they never got the messaging out there that many of the games on the service could be downloaded.

We'll get a better idea of what games are included when they're rolled out in the first region.

I know it's only a selection of the available games in the classics but if it was going to be better you'd think they'd want some heavy hitters on there from the get go to get people excited. To take one example Tekken 2 was a fine game but Tekken 3 is the one everyone really loves.

I've been thinking how great it would be to play some of my all time faves again on the playstation and getting super hyped and literally not one of them is available (as yet) :(

Agreed. I sold my Series X and PS5. There are no games coming out anytime soon that interest me at all. All I ended up playing was Warzone and that's free anyway. Currently I have a Series S which is collecting dust and only really gets used to watch Sky on the app.

Wrong there's still absolutely tons of great games they have just reversed roles its no longer the big hitters that are making great games and pushing boundaries its the small indie studios there is a huge back catalogue of fantastic games!

Ubisoft are a car crash of a developer.

But am I right in thinking that even the base tier ps plus gives you access to stuff like returnal and demons souls?

Plenty enough games to keep me happy on there - old Demon's Souls is especially nice, was about to play that and don't need to dust off the PS3 now - but it doesn't really look radically better than it was before.

Tried playing MGS3 on PS Now. It was horrible because of the lack of pressure sensitive controls. You gently held square back in the day to aim your gun but that wasn't possible with a PS4 controller.

Yeah, this is my problem with it. It's either they're slow rolling this thing, or they haven't got the heavy hitters that everyone is hoping for. If i do upgrade, it will be the extra tier. I'm not going to bother with the premium one as it is.

I've bought most of the Sony ps5 games that are listed with Plus, aside from Returnal and Demons Souls.

And I got fed up of waiting for something like this to come out, so pulled the trigger a couple of months ago on a Aya Neo, which is essentially a laptop inside the form factor of a Switch, so I now play everything up to PS3 level on there (including games like Sly Cooper that aren't on Plus).

Those are amazing for anyone who hasn't had a ps for the last 3-4 years. Imagine jumping in and having all that at your disposal? For what, the price of a Netflix subscription?

It's massive value if you haven't bought most of them. You could probably take a couple years to play through all the "good" games (rdr2, last of us, horizon, god of war, days gone etc). By then you'd have more games in the collection and today's big games (haha wot games) would be on sale by then.

We just don't see the value because we have already spent the money on most of those games because we is nerds.

Also, for kids/younger people who can't fork out £60 for a game every month this is amazing.

It's the good thing about the subscription services, game pass and whatever this is.

I'll concede it's largely because I already played most of the big games. But I was someone who was going to go top tier day 1.... until I saw that list.

There's really very little there for me. I missed RDR2 and Miles morales, but those two alone don't justify it for me.

Good news - you don't need top tier to play them. They're on the middle tier.

Great point, by the time you smashed those out games like Horizon 2 will be on the service and you carry on.

So I've been subscribed to 2 stockalerting Telegram groups to actually try and purchuse this stinking shitpile of a console, but even if I try 5 minutes after the alert I'm too late.

Fighting the urge to not just buy it off a scalper is getting more difficult.

Bit bleak the whole console gaming scene at the minute apart from going through huge back catalogues what realistically is the next big game, with nothing scheduled exclusively on xbox for the rest of the year, if GOW gets delayed that's it for this year?

Obviously there will be a few surprises on the way but for the standard triple A big budget games that's it exclusives anyway unless i'm missing something.

Square Enix has one or two things scheduled to be released (Forspoken) but impressions of that are mixed.

Xbox will probably have Motorsport which hasn't really been as popular compared to Horizon and Gran Turismo but that might change.

I'm sure we'll get a few surprises in the showcase(s) next month. Xbox have little option but to try and secure a big third party day one game on Game Pass with the delays to Starfield and Redfall.

Meanwhile I'm here with a huge backlog that's not getting any smaller. I miss my PS360 days when I could play pretty much everything and had time for 6+ hour gaming sessions and the like.

This is why I saved the new Horizon when that glut of games dropped the other month. Not sure how it can hope to follow Elden Ring though.
Horizon is so overrated. Not sure how they managed to take a winning formula and over complicate every aspect of it to the point where it became incredibly irritating to play. I’d say it’s just about worth it for the 60 hours and because it’s beautiful to look at.

Yeah I'd heard. Can't say I'm overly looking forward to it which is why I'm dragging out Elden Ring for as long as possible and going for all the achievements in one huge run.

Why would you even play a game you're not looking forward to? That seems like an exercise in futility.
